Splinterlands Art Contest! // Week 181 - DJINN RENOVA

This is my contribution for the Splinterlands Art Contest! // Week 181. I'm still learning little by little and I hope to improve over time. This time I was inspired by DJINN RENOVA an epic card from the Life Splinter.I have always imagined this character as a kind of water nymph and that is why I chose to put her in that element.

Esta es mi contribución para el Concurso de Arte de Splinterlands! // Semana 181. Sigo aprendiendo poco a poco y espero mejorar con el tiempo. Esta vez me inspiré en DJINN RENOVA una carta épica de Life Splinter. Siempre me he imaginado a este personaje como una especie de ninfa del agua y por eso opté por ponerla en ese elemento.

Process | Proceso

The first thing is to make the sketch, which unfortunately at the moment I have to do it with the mouse which makes it a bit difficult for me, the ideal would be to have a graphics tablet. After the sketch I start to work on the shadows, starting with the general shadows and then with the more specific shadows. The next step is similar but with the Lights. I like to do the shadows and lights first because it's easier for me to give volume to the drawing. After the highlights and shadows are done, we can start coloring the drawing. It is best to do it in layers and have a layer for each part of the body.

Lo primero es hacer el boceto, que lamentablemente por el momento tengo que hacerlo con el mouse lo que se me dificulta un poco, lo ideal sería tener una tableta gráfica. Después del boceto empiezo a trabajar las sombras, comenzando con las sombras generales y luego con las sombras más específicas. El siguiente paso es similar pero con las Luces. Me gusta hacer primero las sombras y las luces porque me es más fácil darle volumen al dibujo. Después de que las luces y las sombras estén listas, podemos comenzar a colorear el dibujo. Lo mejor es hacerlo por capas y tener una capa para cada parte del cuerpo.

The last thing was to work on the background, To do this,I opt for a gradient with yellow tones to simulate daylight. An area in blue for the sky and a tree to add a bit of detail to the background. I hope you like the result and as always I read you in the comments.

Lo último fue trabajar el fondo, para ello opté por un degradado con tonos amarillos para simular la luz del día. Un área en azul para el cielo y un árbol para agregar un poco de detalle al fondo. Espero que os guste el resultado y como siempre os leo en los comentarios.
