[ENG/ESP] Splinterlands Brawl Report In Bronce Fray (6 Battles!) + Gladius Pack opening - PIZZA 2 GUILD 10/Feb/2022

I would like to comment that today my butt was kicked by @gameboyali in the first round of @clove71 x_x tournament, because of that I decided to buy a couple of Forgoten one to raise mine to LV3 and acquire Retaliate (counterattack). That card is too good! I ended up buying it the other day after getting beat in another tournament for not having it...

Quisiera comentar que el día de hoy mi trasero fue pateado por @gameboyali en la primera ronda del torneo de @clove71 x_x, a raíz de eso decidí comprar un par Forgoten one para subir el mio a LV3 y que adquiera Retaliate (contrataque). Esa carta es demasiado buena! Terminé comprándola el otro día luego de ser vencido en otro torneo por no tenerla...

Finally, a good fucking pull! Those 2000 power from the GF will come in handy 🤑. I also got a new monster with Opportunism "Isgald vorst", with this one there are already 3 monsters with opportunism in the water splinter, so I'll have to try a strategy with Demented shark + Venari wavesmith and full opportunism at some point, it will definitely be something interesting.

Al fin, una buena tirada joder! Esos 2000 de poder de la carta dorada me vendrán muy muy bien 🤑. Además adquirí un nuevo monstruo con Oportunismo "Isgald vorst", vaya con éste ya son 3 monstruos con oportunismo en el splinter de agua, así que tendré que probar una estrategia con Demented shark + Venari wavesmith y full oportunismo en algún momento, definitivamente será algo interesante.

With Broken Arrows present, the opponent can only use melee and magic, so Mylor + Unicorn Mustang cover both departments pretty well. I had 2 mana left so I decided to use Bertrol Gobson.

Con Broken arrows presente, el oponente solo puede usar ataques cuerpo a cuerpo y magia, así que Mylor + Unicorn Mustang cubren bastante bien ambos departamentos. Me sobraban 2 mana así que decidí usar a Bertrol Gobson.

Result of the battle #1: Win. Wow, I didn't know that be killed by Thorns counted towards triggering Bloodlust, great!

Battle #2

Ruleset: Earthquake, Lost Magic.
Mana cap: 32.
Allowed splinters: Fire, earth, death, dragon.

Huh, earthquake, I haven't played a game with that rule in a long time around here. Summoner choice is easy, Brighton bloom as it adds Flight to monsters. There's no magic in this game so a physical damage tank up front will be helpful but hmmmm between Lava Golem and Harklaw... I prefer Harklaw so we'll play death. I love Liza fox, she does a lot of damage so I'll put her in the bottom, but not too bottom as my opponent is likely to play fire or death, splinters that have multiple sneak cards, so I'll put a card with a shield, being Halfling alchemist a good option, aside from that I will add Grenadier. Silent Sha-vi is an excellent card for dealing damage and since we're on sneak I'll add Uraeus to the composition.

Huh, terremoto, hacía tiempo que no tocaba una partida con esa regla por aquí. La elección de invocador es sencilla, Brighton bloom ya que añade Vuelo a los monstruos. No hay magia en esta partida, así que un tanque de daño físico al frente será útil pero hmmmm entre Lava Golem y Harklaw.... prefiero Harklaw, así que jugaremos con muerte. Me encanta Liza fox, hace muchísimo daño así que la pondré al fondo, pero no demasiado al fondo ya que es muy probable que mi oponente juegue con fuego o con muerte, splinters que tienen varias cartas con sneak, así que pondré una carta con escudo, siendo Halfling alchemist una buena opción, a parte añadiré Grenadier. Silent Sha-vi es una excelente carta para hacer daño y ya que estamos con sneak, añadiré Uraeus a la composición.

Result of the battle #2: Win. You know you've smashed your opponent when none of your cards die. The strategy worked out very well as my opponent had his rear very unprotected.

Resultado de la batalla #2: Victoria. Sabes que haz destrozado a tu oponente cuando ninguna de tus cartas muere. La estrategia salió muy bien ya que mi oponente tenía su retaguardia muy desprotegida.

Ruleset: Unprotected monsters, even stevens.
Mana cap: 36.
Allowed splinters: Water, earth, life, dragon.

I had a hard time deciding on a summoner so I'll use a combo that can be useful in various scenarios, Mylor + Mustang unicorn. I'll add Double Heal with Goblin psychic and Wood nymph. Cyclops for refill and as a "secondary tank". Katrelba Gobson because she's great. Halfling alchemist at the bottom because of his shield.

Me costó decidirme de invocador así que usaré un combo que pueda ser útil en varios escenarios, Mylor + Mustang unicorn. Añadiré Doble curación con Goblin psychic y Wood nymph. Ciclops para rellenar y como "tanque secundario". Katrelba Gobson por que es genial. Halfling alchemist al final por su escudo.

Result of the battle #3: Win. Fortunately I was able to win. I must say that I had forgotten that Unprotected monsters was active, so putting Hafling alchemist in the background was not a good idea x_x, luckily everything worked out xD.

Resultado de la batalla #3: Victoria. Afortunadamente pude ganar por los pelos. Debo comentar que había olvidado que Unprotected monsters estaba activo, así que poner a Hafling alchemist al fondo no fue buena idea x_x, por suerte todo salió bien xD.

Battle #4

Ruleset: Keep your distance.
Mana cap: 42.
Allowed splinters: Fire, water, earth, death.

With Keep your distance active you could say that there is a 50/50 chance that my opponent will play with range or magic, taking into account that the life splinter is not active, I think it is more likely to meet with magic so Owster seems to be a good option. We need monsters with a lot of HP, I think Riftwing and Gelatinous cube will cover that well, plus I'll add Ancient lich as if it steals enough HP it will serve as a meat shield as well. Since we are with death, I will use Liza fox, this time she will go to the background since there will be no sneaks. There is a certain chance my opponent will use healing so I'll add Grim reaper. Octopider does quite a bit of damage so it's a good thing to have.

Con Keep your distance activo se podría decir que hay un 50/50 de probabilidades de que mi oponente juegue con rango o magia, tomando en cuenta que el splinter de vida no está activo, creo que es más probable encontrarnos con magia así que Owster parece ser una buena opción. Necesitamos monstruos con mucho HP, creo que Riftwing y Gelatinous cube cubrirán bien eso, además añadiré a Ancient lich ya que si roba suficiente HP servirá como escudo de carne también. Ya que estamos con muerte, usaré a Liza fox, esta vez irá al fondo ya que no habrá sneaks. Hay cierta probabilidad de que mi oponente use curación así que añadiré a Grim reaper. Octopider hace bastante daño así que viene bien tenerla.

Result of the battle #4: Loss. Damn, Grim reaper was dead weight just like Ancient lich x_x. Playing around with splintertools a bit, this one would have been a better strategy.

Resultado de la batalla #4: Derrota. Rayos, Grim reaper fue un peso muerto al igual que Ancient lich x_x. Trasteando un poco con splintertools, ésta hubiera sido una mejor estrategia.

Battle #5

Ruleset: Heavy hitters, explosive weapondry.
Mana cap: 36.
Allowed splinters: Water, life, dragon.

With explosive Weapondry active, attacking first can give me some advantage so I'll use Quix. With that being said, I'm going to main tank Dragon spirit, plus play alive and use Time mage and Creeping ooze. I will take the opportunity to play with my gladiator, Marisol Contuma, placing her in the second position to make use of her Reach ability. To support magic damage I will add Lunakari mistress. At the end I will place a Sandworm.

Con explosive weapondry activo, el atacar primero puede darme cierta ventaja así que usaré a Quix. Con lo anterior dicho, colocaré como tanque principal a Dragon spirit, además jugaré con vida y usaré a Time mage y a Creeping ooze. Aprovecharé la oportunidad para jugar con mi gladiadora, Marisol Contuma, colocándola en la segunda posición para darle uso a su habilidad Reach. Para apoyar el daño mágico añadiré a Lunakari mistress. Al final colocaré a Sand worm.

Result of the battle #5: Loss. From experience, I can say that it is usually a better option with this rule to use the water splinter, so maybe it was my mistake to use this strategy. Damn, Marisol seems so strong, but I get the feeling that whenever I choose her things don't go so well... not satisfied, I did some tests with splintertools and this one strategy with Goblin mech + Marisol + Silvershield knight seems very good, hope to remember it to use it someday. I will search some post to see people using that gladiator.

Resultado de la batalla #5: Derrota. Por experiencia, puedo decir que suele ser mejor opción con esta regla el usar el splinter de agua, así que quizás fue mi error el usar esta estrategia. Rayos, Marisol parece tan fuerte, pero me dá la sensación que siempre que la uso las cosas no van tan bien...no satisfecho, hice algunas pruebas con splintertools y ésta estrategia con Goblin mech + Marisol + Silvershield knight parece muy buena, espero poder darle uso algún día. Buscaré post de gente usando esa gladiadora.

Ruleset: Equal opportunity, close range.
Mana cap: 14.
Allowed splinters: Earth, life, dragon.

With these rules, attacking first and debuffing range seems useful, so I'll play Quix. Since physical damage seems like something my opponent would use, I'll play Life and put Hugo in front since he has the Shield ability. The more cards I have on the field the better, so I'll put the ones that cost less in mana (Harpy, Cocatrice, Gargoya scrapper).

Con estas reglas, atacar primero y debuffear el rango parece útil, así que jugaré con Quix. Como el daño físico pareciera algo que mi oponente usaría, jugaré con vida y colocaré a Hugo al frente ya que tiene la habilidad Shield. Entre más cartas tenga en el campo mejor, así que colocaré las menos costosas en mana (Harpy, Cocatrice, Gargoya scrapper).

Result of the battle #6: Loss. Hmm, RIP. I should have used the Close combat rule to my advantage since testing on splintertools if I used Grenadier and Halfling alchemist I got a 100% winrate.

Resultado de la batalla #6: Derrota. Hmmm, QEPD. Debí haber usado la regla de Close combat a mi favor ya que haciendo pruebas en splintertools si usaba Grenadier y Halfling alchemist conseguí un 100% de winrate.

With 4 wins out of 7 fights (1 opponent "fled") I got the 6th place xD, well that's good.

Con 4 victorias de 7 combates (1 oponente "huyó") obtuve el 6to lugar xD, bueh ta' bien.

Regarding the guild, we got the 2nd place! That is awesome!, next time will go for the first spot.

En cuanto al gremio, obtuvimos el 2do lugar! Eso es genial. A por el primer lugar!
