Earlier this week, i stumbled on the X contest organized by splinterlands, it was my first time seeing it and i fell in love with the concept of the contest, i went further to check the terms and activities of the contest and i figured its what i could participate in.

I decided to enter the contest, I did all the tasks I could do in the immediate, then the contest ended yesterday, but before then, i kept logging in every time to see if there would be other task to boost my points/Entry in the contest, but there was none, only the daily activity, more like check-ins. After the contest ended yesterday, I tried playing some games and retired to bed afterwards.

On waking up this morning, I turned on my system to rent some cards and play the game just maybe I would come across the ruleset as stated for this week Battle Mage Secret Challenge, but to my surprise, I saw a gift of *2 Rebellion Packs from @isaria it felt like I was dreaming, I shouted on top of my voice, i couldn't believe i was one out of the 5people selected.

I refreshed the splinterlands website up to 5times, went to the Items section and still didn't find anything new or regarding the packs/cards then it dawned on me that probably it's because I was yet to open the packs.

I went straight to Peak Monster website and checked my items and lo and behold, I saw the 2 packs.

I was very happy, I saw that both cards combined is worth $7.8+ on hive engine and I could sell instantly for hive worth $7+ but I won't do that, i would rather open the packs and hopefully come across very nice cards since they are done randomly, then Further go ahead to use the cards in battle and avoid renting cards every time.

THE CONTEST

The contest wasn't even hard at all, just some tasks like:

• follow some Twitter handles
• check-in sessions
• Link gleam.io
  and some other minor tasks.

In total, I had 46 entries and I couldn't believe my 46 entry would qualify me for the win or rather to be part of the 5users, I'm indeed very excited and grateful.

As soon as this my rental period expires, I will go ahead to open the packs and see the cards I'd be given, I really can not wait to open those packs and explore them in the battlefield and see Thier abilities and learn more about them.

So far so good, the game In general has been so worth it and everything about it is starting to feel addictive in a good way.

Let me go back to playing and learning some things in the game itself.
