Epilog

It is sad, but it is what it is. Fellow @fellonious contributed one more time to the guild after I welcomed them in chat, but it wasn't enough. Unfortunately, I can only guess what led to the additional donation, as the fellow remained completely silent on already planning to join permanently without wasting DEC. Wasted it is definitely not for us as a guild. Being a beneficiary of this post here is probably just sobering compensation. The potential is all the greater if we manage to convert with each other. But it will remain at least as a memory here. And perhaps as an example to understand how our points table and auction work. It adds to the many examples from before.

Why not visit our chat before joining a precious guild spot on your own? And don't stay silent! The fact that we can talk to each other makes us human. And if English is not your first language, we can deal with it as your second, third or even forth with lots of patience.

If you are new to this

Become familiar with the member management, please. Because the guild spots are precious, the last in our list will be removed regularly. That is part of our procedure as noted in the addendum linked at the bottom. And if you don't acknowledge all this within the first 2 hours after you joined, you may be removed without notice right away. How can we know? Well, you'll see! And any questions are welcome anytime!

Please understand, it is not on me to show comprehension. I'll do the best I can! Though this guild is somewhat managed like a DAO. That is Decentral Autonomous Organisation. So I simply follow the procedures that have evolved here by now. And for when you become passive and no one can reach out to you in time, ugly things can happen. As documented in past notes. If you want to join and stay, we can make that happen even with presently no open spot available. We may schedule it for that you can be there the moment our weakest contributor is removed. Sounds familiar somehow? Like with a mob abandoning their weakest offspring to survive a predator attack. Your contribution needs to be enough for not being the weakest. Everyone who got removed is welcome any time again. It's just that contributions from earlier are at zero any time an account re-joines.

What we expect from any enduring member, in a nutshell:

Priority A: Some contribution within the last 2 brawls. Without at least 1 DEC even a quest scroll will make this, if the Lodge is not maxed out for the rest of a season.

Priority B: Be not the weakest contributor in our mob the moment an auction ends. This moment is when a new brawl starts. The second to last score in the list is bold highlighted. That is the tide you need to take in DEC without scrolls added to the lodge yet for outpacing that account.

I can communicate just fine with English as my first and primary language of choice. I apologize for not responding to any messages that were sent to me, It's a holiday weekend, I am just getting used to the peakd chat functionality and your level of catty, childlike skepticism to me as a new guild member. Correct me if I'm not but I need, as of the writing of your post 8190.00 dec to remain part of this "free" group?

Hi @fellonious, good to read from you. I can see how it seems chatty and childish what I write. Our guild is not about "free", it's about "fhree", and that's a pun for a reason, and anything but childish. It's just that everyone in the guild can see what will happen if certain conditions occur.

The amount needed is totally dependent on what other guild members do or don't do. And as much as I want you to join us, I would have to kick someone else out to accommodate you. And I don't do that whimsically, but as best I can based on the procedures that have been developed. Those who have been with us longer will be favored in a pre-determined way so that everyone can see how we handle the scarce guild spots. Activity is trumps.

At the risk of repeating myself: 8190 DEC is already not enough, IF the account with the next more points actively contributes something to our buildings again before the end of our current auction. If that doesn't happen, the amount doesn't matter as long as you have already contributed only a single DEC. And even if it's hard to believe, the many accounts that wanted to stay in the guild before you didn't even do that.

And now I hope you can stand up to our weakest contributor. That will be decided at the end of this brawl based on numbers, regardless of what I personally think. In math we trust. Please ask if there is still something that might be unclear.

I understand completely and I apologize for appearing to take any statements or actions personally. The system in place forces members to participate or be history. Its a great mechanism and you run it systematically, I thank you for your effort and am thankful for the opportunity to be a part of it all.

You are welcome, no need for apologies for me. All chats and social media tend to make us read things that are not meant. I have learned to recognize needs, even if I do not always know how to meet them all. I am glad you are here. I wish you that the auction succeeds for you, because there has been no one joining for a long time who is as determined as you are, and once you are in third last place, until now it is easy to stay. Activity counts.
