As hinted yesterday, I want to explore the two notification bots, and that not on my own. If you like, come along. They allow to be notified about activity within Hive communities in Discord - which, as decentralized communities in their own right, don't offer the convenience of centralized services. And both do it in a very of customized ways.

If you don't know or use the services yet, be sure to check them out. With a little preparation, they specifically notify you of individually defined activities. I really care about the Hive community because it's my favorite way to grow my deck - and yours. As you can see here, it doesn't take much, and the routine I've gained I'm happy to pass on. It's just one more comment away or a message via Discord.

The first service I have known for a long time is @GINAbot. Instructions on how to use it can be found on the account's blog. Upon registration, a small transfer is required to confirm ownership of one's account. The settings allow to be notified of other accounts' activities as well. And a highlight is the notification for specific topics via the hashtags, such as #brawl.

The second service that is new to me is F.R.I.D.A.Y. You can find instructions from different users. I found that from @fionasfavourites. The direct way is via F.R.I.D.A.Y's Discord and was sufficient for me at first. There no transfer is necessary to confirm the ownership of the own account. However, it is also not possible to notify other accounts with a single registration. Instead, additional accounts can simply be registered. So it doesn't have to be your own account at all.

I did not immediately discover the possibility of being notified about specific topics. But there is the highlight of being notified directly about activities of the Hive-Engine side chain and Splinterlands. For example, when one's own card is rented out. That makes me wish for something I haven't found yet: To be informed about the end of a rental. There is obviously still a lot of potential for development, and I like to support that.

In @fionasfavourite's guide I then also found the option to be informed about topic areas by direct message to the bot with the command /monitortag KEYWORD or also /words KEYWORD for keywords in comments or articles. @GINAbot also does this on request. And so with these two services there are two wonderful alternatives to be notified about decentralized activity.

What else?

Before I end here now, I want to point out a post by @underlock that I shared in our guild community. I'm impressed with the design details, and look forward to seeing other bloggers take some cues from it. The post is, in my opinion, more than worth the $100+ that the author and curators are expected to earn together in four days.

Wie gestern schon angedeutet, will ich die beiden Benachrichtigungs-Bots erkunden, und das nicht für mich allein. Sie ermöglichen, Aktivitäten innerhalb von Hive-Communities in Discord benachrichtigen zu lassen - die als dezentrale Communities für sich genommen nicht den Komfort zentralisierter Dienste bieten. Und machen beide sehr individuell.

Wer die Dienste noch nicht kennt oder nutzt, schaue sie unbedingt an. Mit ein bisschen Vorbereitung benachrichtigen sie konkret über individuell definierte Vorgänge. Mir liegt an der Hive-Community sehr, weil mir das die liebste Art ist, mein Deck zu vergrößern - und Deines. Wie hier zu sehen ist, braucht es nicht viel, und die Routine, die ich dabei gewonnen habe, gebe ich gern weiter. Es ist nur einen weiteren Kommentar oder eine Mitteilung per Discord entfernt.

Der erste, mir lange bekannte Dienst ist @GINAbot. Eine Anleitung ihn zu nutzen findet sich im Blog des Accounts. Bei Registrierung ist ein kleiner Transfer nötig, um den Besitz des eigenen Accounts zu bestätigen. Die Einstellungen ermöglichen, auch bei Aktivitäten anderer Accounts benachrichtigt zu werden. Und ein Highlight ist die Benachrichtigung für konkrete Themen-Bereiche über die Hashtags, wie beispielsweise #brawl.

Der zweite Dienst, der mir neu ist, ist F.R.I.D.A.Y. Es finden sich Anleitungen verschiedener Nutzer. Ich fand die von @fionasfavourites. Der direkte Weg geht über F.R.I.D.A.Y's Discord und war für mich zunächst ausreichend. Dort ist kein Transfer nötig, um den Besitz des eigenen Accounts zu bestätigen. Es lassen sich jedoch auch nicht mit einer einzelner Registrierung weitere Accounts benachrichtigen. Stattdessen können weitere Accounts schlicht registriert werden. Es muss also gar nicht der eigene sein.

Über konkrete Themen-Bereiche benachrichtigt zu werden, habe ich dort nicht sogleich entdeckt. Doch dafür das Highlight, auch über Aktivitäten der Hive-Engine Side-Chain und Splinterlands direkt benachrichtigt zu werden. Beispielsweise wenn eine eigene Karte vermietet wird. Da wünsche ich mir sogleich etwas, das ich noch nicht gefunden habe: Über das Ende einer Vermietung informiert zu werden. Es gibt offenbar noch viel Potential für Entwicklungen, und ich mag das gern unterstützen.

In @fionasfavourites Anleitung fand ich sodann auch noch die Option, auch über Themen-Bereiche informiert zu werden, mittels Direktmitteilung an den Bot mit dem Befehl /monitortag STICHWORT oder auch /words STICHWORT für Stichworte in Kommentaren oder Artikeln. Auch das erledigt @GINAbot auf Wunsch. Und so gibt es mit diesen zwei Diensten zwei wundervolle Alternativen, um im dezentralen Geschehen benachrichtigt zu werden.

Was noch?

Bevor ich hier nun ende, will ich noch auf einen Beitrag von @underlock hinweisen, den ich in unsere Gilden-Community geteilt habe. Ich bin beeindruckt von den gestalterischen Details, und freue mich, wenn sich andere Blogger davon einiges abschauen. Der Beitrag ist die über 100 Dollar meines Erachtens mehr als Wert, die sich Autor und Kuratoren in vier Tagen voraussichtlich teilen werden.

The first three battles at Reverse Speed, and I was not good at it this time. And battles five to seven at Poison, and I was not good at it this time either. At least I won the seventh of those.
