Hi everyone! It's time for the a weekly battle challenge, and the challenge for this week is the Time Mage.

Ruleset

Little League: Only Monsters & Monsters that cost 4 Mana or less may be used in battles
Only the Fire, Life, Water and Death Splinters can be used
Mana Cap: 58

Summoner: General Sloan - This increases the Ranged attack of my deck by 1, and allows me to use level 3 common cards and level 2 rare and epic cards as I have a level 2 version.

1Blinding ReflectorWith 5 Health and 3 Shield, it is one of the best tank in the Life Splinter for the Little League ruleset.
2Xenith MonkAt level 2, it has the Heal ability and is used as the secondary tank.
3Time MageIt’s has the Slow ability and hopefully it’ll give me an advantage in attacking faster.
4TruthspeakerIt’s here to provide an additional 2 Shield to all the monsters, to improve the survivability.
5Venari CrystalsmithPlaced in the second last position, to heal the first monster, and it gets an additional ranged attack from General Sloan.
6UraeusPlaced in the last position, to take out the weaker Monsters from behind.

Strategy

This is not an optimum ruleset, as the full Mana Cap of 58 cannot be utilised due to the Little League ruleset. The strategy was to use the primary and secondary tank to soak up the damage, slow the opponent with the Time Mage, and to make use of the Venari Crystalsmith and Uraenus to met out damage. Whlle I still won, I think my strategy did not work out as well as I expected, as the opponent used a deck that primarily consists of Magic damage, and the Xenith Monk didn’t get a chance to heal itself before being taken out. I might replace the Truthspeaker with Stitch Leech instead if I encounter such a ruleset again.

Thoughts on the card

I think the Time Mage is a great card to have in low mana fights, as it helps to slow the opponent down and can slowly damage the opponent if the tanks can last.
