Don't you just hate the Noxious Fume ruleset? All your monsters take 2 poison damage each turn and it can be a bit of a hit and miss as to who wins. Today, I'll share to share some strategies that you can use for the Noxious Fumes ruleset, and also some cards to use that won't break the bank!

RulesetDescription
Combatrule_noxiousfumes.jpgAll monsters start the game poisoned and will take 2 damage each turn unless cleansed.

So, other than using cards with high health to outlast the opponent, what strategies can we employ? I've listed down 4 possible strategies below that will increase your chances of winning!

(1) Cards with the Cleanse ability

Cards with the Cleanse ability will remove all negative effects on the Monster in the first position on the friendly team. There are quite a number of cards with the Cleanse ability, but the lowest cost ones are the River Nymph and Scavo Chemist. A good strategy would be to pair them with a high health and shield tank and if possible a monster with the Taunt ability. The tank will get Cleanse (i.e. removes the poison) and the monster with the Taunt will draw the initial damage away from the tank.

(2) Cards with the Immunity ability

Cards with the Immunity ability will not be affected by the poison. You'll want this card to last, so place the monster with the Immunity ability in the 3rd or 4th position. The only Chaos Legion card that is fairly affordable is the Forgotten One. All the other cards won't come cheap.

(3) Cards with the Heal ability

Cards with the Heal ability will help to mitigate the effects of the poison. Again, you'll want this card to last, so the best position for it is the 3rd or 4th position. There are more than 20 cards that come with the Heal abilty, but the only Chaos Legion card that is fairly affordable is the Xenith Monk at level 2. If you are feeling rich, you can consider buying or renting Cornealus.

(4) Cards with the Resurrect ability

Cards with the Resurrect ability will resurrect a dead Monster with 1 Health. The poison from the ruleset is only inflicted at the start of the battle. So the resurrected card will actually be free of poison! Unfortunately, there are no cheap cards that has this ability. Your best bet will be the River Hellondale, which is a Legendary Chaos Legion card.

Final Thoughts
I've shared 4 possible strategies to use in the Noxious Fumes ruleset, and feel free to mix and match the different strategies for better winning chances. My favourite is to try to use cards with Cleanse and Immunity in the deck. Do share if you have some other great strategies for this ruleset too!

Sounds like it's almost sure to win. The deck probably doesn't come cheap though if I want to buy it.
