Which are the best cards to buy for POWER - 02/21
This is a continuation on my series monitoring card prices. Sorry for the missed post last week, I was taking a few vacation days. The market is living a very dynamic time, let's look into what happened in the last weeks.
Power is derived from the below table:
Pro tip: Promo cards can't be distinguished according to their border styles, but CP value is that of an Alpha card. Always double check a card before putting it on the market to see if it is not by chance a Promo card!
These prices are derived from lvl 1 cards, you might get better prices if you search for higher level cards!
Lowest Regular Foil card prices in the category:
Price | Alpha/Promo | Beta/1st Reward | Dice/Untamed/2nd Reward | Chaos/3rd Reward |
---|---|---|---|---|

And here is the overview of Power/Price, which means how much power you get for a dollar (the higher the number the better).

Summary:
Even though price for power stays the same we can see some price movements compared to 2 weeks ago. The higher value Chaos cards are getting cheaper every week, we saw a 20% price decrease in gold foil Alpha/Promo legendary prices, while the floor of all regular alpha foil cards increased in value from 12% up to 57%.
Gold foil common, rare and epic Beta and Untamed cards are sticking to their value.
We see today a drop on chaos legion summoner prices. All common foil chaos legion rare cards are a bit more affordable with General Sloan at $2.69 as the lowest and Kelya Frendul at $3.94. Quix the Devious is sitting at $27.44, while it was around $31-32 a few weeks ago. On the gold foil front we have General Sloan for 23.29$ and the most expensive card is Kelya Frendul at $34.59 at the time of writing.
Even Qid Yuff fell to $3.99 (great with Grum Flameblade at $13.50).
Fiends cost below $7 with the exception of the Water Splinters Torrent Fiend at $9.30.
Over 7.5 Million Pack were sold last week, which is a great sign after such a short time. Card pack prices are not dropping below 3 USD on 3rd party sites even though the market is fluctuating quite a lot. This means for me, that the interest in buying the packs is still there and high. I count this as a bullish sign for the future of Splinterlands.
The Crypto market is also in a downfall these days, which made the Plot prices go down, as they aren't adjusted to market changes that often. While plots were selling for 370-380 Hive end of last week we now see a price action at around 450-475 Hive, while the actual USD value of the plots is comfortably between 350-420 USD. This was caused by the current crypto price drop and shows, that plot price is not affected by the cypto volatility.
The high swings in prices makes a good time for speculations, but there is a looming threat on the global political side. If the conflict escalates in Europe it will make all investments riskier and will bring less time for playing and more time to focus on life. This might include further drop on the prices as some might liquidate their portfolio.
Let's hope for the best!
Happy Buying
