Anti Magic Defence in Broken Arrows ruleset battle

what's up Splinter Player around the world how are you doing? I want to share my battle using my scholar account in Balthazar guild. And since playing scholar account so that mean the battle is in Diamond Modern Format League.In this battle i want to share how to manage the combination ruleset that the ruleset is forcing to utilize the magic type monster and melee type monster only. Broken Arrow ruleset is forbid both player using range monster. So the choices that we have is just using Magic and Melee type monster only.

Okay since you guys know that the ruleset is Broken Arrows lets knowing this ruleset a little bit deeper.This ruleset description is

Units with ranged attacks cannot be used.Units with 2 types of attack (which include ranged) cannot be used.
Consider utilizing units with Thorns or Magic Reflect, as your opponent will have to use either melee or magic units.

So, lets think about that if we cannot using range units in this battle, so what we need to do is just arrange the strategy to defence in Magic and Melee type units, I think that using Grandmaster Rathe is the best choice in this ruleset. Lets see what i am arrange in this battle.

Strategy Phase

As you can see in the picture above this battle have 3 ruleset. The first ruleset is Odds One Out that means wes just can only using Odd manacost units in this battle, the second ruleset is Broken Arrows that means both player cannot using range units monster. The last ruleset is Holy Protection that means all units will get Divine Shield ability. The manacap that can be used in this battle is 41 which is very average in Diamond League and the element that cannot be used in this battle is Water and Earth element. So since the Water element cannot be used, the choice left is using Dragon element or using Life element that have great units to handle magic type attack. In Life element there is Uriel combined with Grandmaster Rathe and Adelade Brightwing. In Dragon element we can play Void Dragon with combination speed and RNG strategy. But, i am not pretty good with RNG so i think using Grandmaster Rathe is the best choice i have. And lets take a look my strategy in the table below

Summoner+1 Armor Void Armor Ability Amplify AbilityI think using Grandmaster Rathe in this battle will having more chance to winning the battle since Grandmaster Rathe with life element is basically element for defence especially to handle magic type units attack. Because the Void Armor ability all units in element life can having additional total life that very huge. Not only that many buff ability in life element that can be used to make looping strategy that very hard to defeat.
Frontline Tanker Uriel is the best tank for handling magic type monster if combined with Grandmaster Rathe as summoner because this monster is having high amount of health and armor. So total health that this monster must get is 18 health (combined with armor) and having flying ability to having chance dodge melee attack and Heal ability that can make the battle very long. Also if this monster attack it will give almost triple the damage because having recharge ability.And if this monster die the Redemption ability will gives 1 damage to all opponent units monsters.
Taunt Tanker & Martyr Buff Iziar from Soulbound card edition is pretty overpowered especially this units is having Void ability to compress any magic type damage and having taunt ability that attract opponent melee units that using sneak or opportunity ability. Also all magic type units will attacking Iziar first especially the frontliner. And after this unit died the martyr effect will activated and give the adjacent units buff effect.
Buff Support Adelade Brightwing is the key in my strategy because this units is having great ability that buffing all team mates with swiftness and this units cannot get debuffed because of the immunity ability. And if my Iziar died this units also can resurrect Iziar and will having 2 buff from martyr. Also the repair ability that make this units is the key of the strategy, it will looping that make any opponent monster unit will hard to penetrate the health. Not again with flying ability that can make this unit having chance to dodge melee attack.
Support Spirit Hoarde is needed in this strategy too, the triage ability will make my Iziar Hard to defeated and it will make my Uriel having chance to defeat opponent frontliner first before my Iziar died. But if my line up cannot break opponent frontliner then just waiting the martyr buff activate and helping the adjacent units to be stronger. Also this unit monster is having dispel ability that can reset any buff opponent units if opponent using martyr effect with same strategy as mine. And Blind ability will make opponent melee monster chance to miss attacking my line up.
Attacker I still need additional attacker that can break opponent line up repair ability monster if opponent having same strategy as mine. Thats why i am using Stitch Leech that can break opponent backline unit monster. Also this monster having life leech ability that can adding max health after hit directly to opponent health.So if the battle is very long this monster also having chance to get high amount of maximum health due the Life Leech ability.

Although i am just using 5 monster line up, i think my strategy is pretty good enough to break opponent strategy line up. The core units is on my line up. And can making looping strategy with repair and healing both backline and frontline. Also i think other than earth element there is no chance opponent having affliction ability that can ruin my healing strategy. Because the affliction on Fire element is Range type monster and in death element is melee units but also it is not great enough to handle my Uriel i think. Thats why i am choosing this element.Okay lets see how the battle going in Battlephase

Okay this time i am encountered with the player that i am suspicious that using helper,script,or whatever it is the cheat name. Because this player is always having great RNG on this player all this time. Lets see what this player bring this time.

Round 1

As usual in round 1 both parties got buff and debuff from both summoners and monsters. In my team got 1 Additional Armor from my Summoner Grandmaster Rathe,also Void armor and amplify ability from my Grandmaster Rathe. Divine Shield ability from the ruleset Holy Protection. 1 Speed Buff from my Adelade Brightwing ability Swiftness. 1 Speed Debuff from opponent summoner Quix The Devious,1 range Debuff from opponent Summoner Quix.In opponent sides got 1 Speed Buff from opponent Adelade Brightwing ability Swiftness and 1 Health Buff from opponent Djinn Renova ability Strengthen. So,basically opponent using RNG based to defeat me. As usual the player that i am suspect using script or helper is always using RNG to defeat the opponent. Here using Void Dragon that having Phase ability to make all my attack missing or i can say that in the right moment just need 1 attack to miss the opponent attack that can make the table turned.

So the battle begin, the first attacker goes to opponent Void Dragon that break my Uriel Divine Shield and then Uraeus following attacking my Iziar and break the Divine Shield,then opponent Iziar attacking my Iziar and break my Iziar Armor. Then Opponent Djinn Renova and stitch leech attacking my Iziar and gives total 6 damage. Then my Iziar attacking opponent Iziar and break the Divine Shield and then my Stitch Leech attacking opponent Iziar and gives 4 damage. Then opponent Adelade Brightwing attacking my Iziar. Then my Adelade Brightwing repair Iziar armor and attacking opponent Iziar. Following the last attacker is my Spirit Hoarder dispelling opponent Iziar and gives 1 damage after healing my Iziar.

Round 2

As i expected that the battle will this time is very long, it will be hardly to defeat both player Iziar. Both player having triage ability that can healing Iziar. So, it decided when one of the frontliner player defeated first it will the winner i think.
So back again in the battle, the first attacker goes to opponent opponent Void Dragon hit my Uriel armor and then following by opponet Uraeus attacking my Iziar armor and gives poison effect. then following by opponent Djinn Renova healing opponent Iziar and gives damage to my Iziar and then opponent Stitch Leech attacking my Iziar but missed the attack. Then opponent Iziar attacking my Iziar,the countered by my Iziar attacking opponent Iziar and gives only one damage, following by my Uriel break opponent Void Dragon Divine Shield then Stitch Leech attacking opponent Iziar and gives 4 damage. Opponent Adelade attacking my Iziar after that my Adelade Brightwing turn repair my Uriel Armor and attacking opponent Iziar. After that the last is my Spirit Hoarder healing my Iziar and attacking opponent Iziar.

Round 3

In round 3 the first attacker still Void Dragon that hit my Uriel Armor,then opponent Uraeus Attacking my Iziar, following by opponent Djinn Renova healing opponent Iziar and attacking my Iziar. In this turn opponent Stitch Leech killed my Iziar for the first time, so it will activate the Martyr effect and gives my Uriel and Adelade Brightwing status buff. And got resurrected by my Adelade Brightwing. Then opponent Iziar attacking my Iziar and break the divine shield. Then my Stitch Leech attaking opponent Iziar and after that opponent Adelade Brightwing attacking my Iziar armor following by my Adelade Brightwing repair Uriel Armor and attacking opponent Iziar. And the last is my Spirit Hoarder healing my Iziar and gives damage to opponent Iziar.

Round 4

In round 4 still the first attacker is opponent Void Dragon hit my Uriel Armor.Then opponent Uraeus attacking my Iziar and once again gives Iziar poison effect, and opponent Djinn Renova come back healing Iziar and killed my Iziar. Okay this is the table turned after my Iziar gives 2 buff to my Uriel and my Adelade Brightwing, it supposed overcome opponent frontliner this time. And this time my Uriel killed Void Dragon and then Void Dragon resurrected by opponent Adelade Brightwing. Then opponent Stitch Leech missing attacking my Stitch Leech. After that opponent Iziat attacking my Uriel Armor and then my Adelade Brightwing repair Uriel armor and gives damage to opponent Iziar, and then my Stitch Leech attacking Iziar. Then opponent Adelade Brightwing attacking Uriel armor and the last my Spirit Hoarder killed opponent Iziar and make Void Dragon and opponent Stitch Leech get buff because of the martyr effect.

Round 5

In round 5 still the Void Dragon attacking first and hit my Uriel armor and then opponent Uraeus break my Stitch Leech Divine Shield. Then opponent Stitch Leech missing attacking my Stitch Leech. After that opponent Djinn Renova break my Uriel Armor,but after that my Adelade Brightwing repair Uriel Armor and break opponent Void Dragon divine shield. After that my Stitch leech break opponent Uraeus Divine shield too. And the last attack is my Spirit Hoarder missing attacking Void Dragon due the phase ability.

Round 6

As long as Void Dragon still alive i think the first attacker still goes to opponent Void Dragon, and this time hit directly to my Uriel health but after that my Uriel healing itself and defeated opponent Void Dragon and gives 18 total damage. And then opponent Uraeus attacking my Stitch Leech and break the armor and gives poison effect. Then opponent Stitch leech missing attacking my Uriel. After that opponent Djinn Renova hit my Uriel directly. And then my Adelade Brightwing repair my Uriel armor and break opponent Stitch Leech divine shield. Following by opponent Adelade Brightwing attacking my Uriel Armor. And the last is my Spirit Hoarder dispelling opponent Stitch leech and gives 2 damage.

Round 7

After Void Dragon got defeated so the first attacker is change and this round the first attacker goes to opponent Uraeus that attacking my Stitch Leech after my Stitch Leech got poison damage. Then my Uriel healing itself, after that opponent Djinn Renova attacking my Uriel directly and gives 4 damage. Then my Adelade Brightwing repair my Uriel armor and attacking opponent Stitch Leech. After that my Stitch Leech missing attacking opponent Uraeus (So who is blind but who is missing the attack.LOL). After that opponent Stitch Leech break my Uriel armor and then opponent Adelade Brightwing attacking my Uriel directly. And the last my Spirit Hoarder healing my Stitch Leech and attacking opponent Stitch Leech and leaving with just 2 health in this round.

Round 8

In round 8 my Stitch Leech inflicted 2 damage due the poison effect after that my Uriel healing himself and killed opponent Stitch Leech. After that opponent Uraeus attacking my Stitch leech and then opponent Djinn Renova attacking my Uriel, after that my Adelade Brightwing repair my Uriel Armor and break opponent Adelade Brightwing divine shield. Then opponent Adelade Brigthwing break my Uriel Armor. And the last is my Spirit Hoarder healing my Stitch Leech and dispelling opponent Adelade Brightwing stats and gives 2 damage. I think my team need to defeat opponent Adelade Brightwing as soon as possible to break the opponent line up. It will hard to defend my Uriel if opponent Adelade Brightwing not dead. Because the repair looping is broke due the opponent Adelade Brightwing attack.

Round 9

I dont expect that this battle will be so long and tight. And here we are the battle still continue, starting this round my Stitch leech got 2 damage due the poison effect and my Uriel healing himself. Then opponent Uraeus gives damage to my Stitch Leech and then opponent Djinn Renova attacking my Uriel. After that my Adelade Brightwing repair my Uriel armor and defeated opponent Adelade Brigthwing. Then my Stitch Leech break opponent Uraeus armor. And the last is my Spirit Hoarder healing my Stitch Leech and break opponent Djinn Renova divine shield.

Round 10

Same with round 9 the first move is my Stitch Leech got 2 poison damage. After that my Uriel healing himself and defeated opponent Djinn Renova. Then opponent Uraeus miss attacking my Uriel and then my Adelade Brightwing repair my Uriel armor and finish this battle by defeate opponent Uraeus. i think Uriel as a frontliner in magic battle is pretty awesome. It will hard to be defeated by usual attack.

Conclution

So in Diamond League that have very complicated ability in each units we still need to separete the ability that can helping us in some ruleset. Like in this one the Broken Arrows ruleset that cannot use any range unit monsters. That makes we can just arrange to muffled every magic and melee attack. And we need to choose the right buff to make our strategy work. And dont forget to have completed NFT cards especially in soulbound edition. Sometimes the soulbounds card is very overpowered when have the maximum level like Iziar. Having taunt void and martyr ability is trully overpowered. Combined with Grandmaster Rathe will make impregnatable at all. Wonder if adding rebellion cards to. It will cannot be defeated at all. But yeah i suggesting to break the magic attack first in Broken Arrows ruleset first then we just adding a little bit defense for the melee type attack. Because many player will concentrate to magic attack than the melee attack especially when the water element is cannot be used.
