Battle of Low Range Monster in Close Range Ruleset

what's up Splinter Player around the world how are you doing? I want to share my battle using my scholar account in Balthazar guild. And since playing scholar account so that mean the battle is in Diamond Modern Format League.In this battle i want to share how to manage low mana battle in Diamond League,because the battle maybe is not interesting.But, in this ruleset that is Close Range ruleset, we got advantage that we can using range monster as a tanker too. Either using as a tanker or attacker at the same time. And in this battle i will sharing my battle using Close Range ability that can be helping my team even though we need to sacrifice range monster to be tanker.


Okay since you guys know that the ruleset is Broken Arrows lets knowing this ruleset a little bit deeper.This ruleset description is
Units with ranged attacks are allowed to attack in the first position.
So basically range monster can be used as a frontline tanker too. And in this ruleset is range monster unit is very benefited. But, remember there are some summoner that very easily countering range monster such as Quix The Destroyer or Ilthain that can counter any range monster. And if get countered it will shattered all line up into pieces. Because even though range monster can be used as a tanker it is still weaker than the usual tanker. Melee Tanker is still the best compared with range tanker.

Strategy Phase

As you can see in the picture above this battle have 3 ruleset, the first ruleset is Close Range that means all range monster units will having close range ability, the second ruleset is Reverse Speed that means the slowest monster will attacking first and the chance of missing is reversed too. The last ruleset is Are you not entertained? that means both players can bring one of the gladius card edition to this battle. The manacap that can be used in this battle is just 36 which is pretty average and the only element that cannot be used in this battle is Water element. And because having Reverse Speed ruleset water element is already eliminated even thought the ruleset allowed it. Water element is full of high speed monster that make the slowest one in Reverse Speed ruleset. So, basically i will using Nature element that having pretty much monster units with 1 speed in Nature element. So lets see how i arrange my line up in this battle, you can see in the table below

![]() | Filler Attacker | ![]() | I am using Djinn Biljka in second line up because this monster is sacrifice monster units and filler in this battle. With just 1 speed it will having higher chance to attack first. And if the opponent using same summoner as me, this magic monster will be a little useless, so i need to tank just one or two attack from opponent range or melee to make my line up got chance to break opponent line up first. | |

If my frontline tanker still alive this monster still can gives 2-3 attack and having chance to make opponent line up got poison effect that makes opponent monster get 2 passive damage from poison each turn. Also this monster is just costing 2 mana that make this monster is needed as key filler in my strategy. | |
![]() | Buff Support | ![]() | Queen Mycelia is the key in my strategy because this monster ability is very complex and can give buff also giving debuff to opponent line up, with protect ability this monster cna gives 2 armor to all my line up that will make opponent range or melee monster will need to break the armor first before hit directly to health and if opponent using scattershot monster ability this monster also can healing the second line up until the end of the line up with triage ability. | |
![]() | Support Attacker | ![]() | Goblin Psychic is pretty good in Diamond league because the silence ability that can make opponent magic monster will get debuffed and the dispel ability will make opponent buff will reset. And this monster can healing the frontline tanker and the affliction will make opponent that get affliction cannot be healed. | |
![]() | Attacker | ![]() | Goblin Tower is monster that the carry monster unit in my line up strategy this time, because the Reverse Speed ruleset will make this monster the faster since this monster having just 1 speed only and this monster also having high range damage which is 5 and the blast ability that will give splash damage to adjacent units. And with Close Range ability, this monster still can attack if placed in front. That makes this monster is the carry monster unit in this battle. |
So, this is my line up strategy this time. I am just depend on Goblin Tower that having high range damage and blast ability that can make opponent line up will destroyed fast. And with using Immortalis opponent will hardly defeated my line up with magic type monster units.So,without further ado lets see the battlephase

Battlephase

This time i encountered with scholar player that in my guild too. I forgot who play this account but i know that this player is pretty good, i am very lucky if i won to this player since he is very good. So lets see in round 1
Round 1 Part 1

As usual in round 1 both parties got buff and debuff first before the battle started and in this part lets see how the buff and debuff going on.
- Both parties will having Void and Shatter ability from both summoner Immortalis
- Both player get 1 health debuff from Immortalis ability.
- Both parties got 1 health debuff again from Djinn Biljka ability Weaken
- Both parties got 1 magic attack debuff from Goblin Psychic ability silence.
And what makes different is my team bringing Queen Mycelia that will make my team got 2 armor buff from Queen Mycelia ability protect and will reducing 2 armor from Queen Mycelia ability rust. And for the battle lets see in part 2
Round 1 Part 2

In this part the first attacker goes to My Mycelic Infantry that break opponent Mycelic Infantry Armor and then opponent Mycelic Infantry broke my Armor too with shatter ability. Then opponent Goblin Tower attacking my Mycelic Infantry and gives blast damage to my Djinn Biljka but fortunately my Djinn Biljka having armor from Queen Mycelia ability. So the blast damage just break the armor. And then countered by my Goblin Tower attacking opponent Mycelic Infantry and gives damage but also killed opponent Djinn Biljka because does not have any armor. Then opponent Goblin Psychic heal opponent Mycelic Infantry and attacking my Mycelic Infantry and gives affliction effect that make my Mycelic Infantry cannot be healed anymore.Then my Goblic Psychic also gives opponent Mycelic Infantry Affliction effect too. But opponent Mycelic Infantry got healed first before get affliction. And yeah back again to RNG. i am always got bad RNG in this game wonder why. Then my Djinn Biljka attacking Mycelic Infantry and then my Queen Mycelia attacking Mycelic Infantry but cannot gives damage. Then opponent Hunter Jarx attacking my Acid Shooter and just break my Acid Shooter armor,and the last attacker is the key of my strategy is when my Acid Shooter attack and this time my Acid Shooter attacking opponent Goblin Psychic and gives poison effect to opponent Goblin Psychic.
Round 2

In round 2,opponent Goblin Psychic got poison damage first,and then the first attacker goes to my Goblin Tower that gives opponent Mycelic Infantry 3 range damage due the shield ability and killed opponent Goblin Psychic this time because of the splash damage, and then it will make the silence ability gone and make my Goblin Psychic magic attack back to normal. After that opponent Goblin Tower attacking my Mycelic Infantry and gives same 3 range damage and killed my Djinn Biljka this time. After that my Goblin Psychic attacking opponent Mycelic Infantry,following by my Queen Mycelia attacking opponent Mycelic Infantry and gives no damage. After that my Mycelic Infantry killed opponent Mycelic Infantry. Then countered by opponent Hunter Jarx killed my Mycelic Infantry. Then the last attacker is my Acid Shooter attacking opponent Hunter Jarx and gives poison effect.
Round 3

In round 3 opponent Hunter Jarx got poison effect first and then opponent Goblin Tower attacking first and killed my Acid Shooter and break my Queen Mycelia Armor. And then countered by my Goblin Tower killed opponent Hunter Jarx and break opponent Goblin Tower armor. After that my Goblin Psychic attack and just gives 1 damage only,then my Queen Mycelia gives zero damage to opponent Goblin Tower. So in the end this is battle of Goblin Tower.
Round 4 & 5

In round 4 the first attacker this time is opponent Goblin Tower that defeated my Queen Mycelia and that will make my Armor buff dissapear and the opponent armor will back to normal and the blast attack fortunately just break my Goblin Psychic armor. And then my Goblin Tower just break opponent Goblin Tower armor and then my Goblin Psychic just gives 1 damage. Speaking on the RNG why dont my team attacking first and why my Goblin Tower attacking first whereas my both Goblin Psychic and Goblin Tower is the same 1 speed. Maybe because the rarity my Goblin Tower is better rarity than Goblin Psychic make my Goblin Tower attacking first. But overall it is okay because my team still won this battle.

Conclution
After looking this battle, i can say the decision on utilize the ability that in Diamond League is really needed. The ability like Protect and Rust can be the one that will giving higher chance to win. Like in this battle i am prepared that if opponent will using range monster units it will need to having armor in order to obstruct opponent killing my line up monster fast, so i bringing Queen Mycelia that having Protect ability that giving 2 additional armor. So if opponent using range monster will need to break my armor first before give damage directly to my monster health. And in contrary opponent will lose 2 armor due the Rust ability that my Queen Mycelia have. and it will make my range monster will directly hit opponent health. And with this it can make my team will having higher chance to win this battle.
