Coastal Sentry Wrath in Counterspell Ruleset

what's up Splinter Player around the world how are you doing? I want to share my battle using my own account . And since playing my own account so that mean the battle is in Silver Modern Format League.In this battle i want to share how to using melee monster with using Possibilus The Wise ability because the ruleset in this battle is forcing both player using melee or range monster units. The ruleset is Counterspell that making all magic type attack will get backfire damage. Especially when we bringing monster units that having amplify damage, it will be suicide party for our team. Thats why the best strategy in Counterspell ruleset is not using magic monster type at all. And thats why i am using Water element this time. Lets see how i am arrange this time and how the battle goes.

Okay since you guys know that the ruleset is Broken Arrows lets knowing this ruleset a little bit deeper.This ruleset description is

All units receive the magic reflect ability at the start of the battle. Enemy units that attack with magic receive damage back.
Damage returned is equal to the damage of the attacker divided by 2, rounded up.
Magic units with the reflection shield ability do not take damage from reflected magic attacks.
The amplify ability increases damage.

So basically when using magic type attack monster is having disadvantage when encountered with this ruleset. But, remember that there is still have Immortalis in Earth summoner that give Void ability to all team mates. That will make the damage back will be zero because of the void. And maybe if using some monster units like Djinn Oshannus or Djinn Biljka that having void ability, it will make the back damage compressed and will be zero. So, in this battle you can make a choice like want to still using magic monster type attack with additional of Void ability or using Melee or range type attack monster units. It will make a different style of the arrangement. Okay lets see what i am arrange in this battle.

Strategy Phase

As you can see in the picture above this battle have 2 ruleset only, the first ruleset is Scratch but Tis that means all monster units will having cripple ability that makes every attack hit will reduce the max health. And the second ruleset is Counterspell that means all monster unit will having magic reflect ability that can make the magic attack will get backdamage. The mana cap that can be used is 43 mana that pretty huge amount. The element that can be used is just Fire,Water,and Earth element. And in this battle i am using Water element since i will choosing to play with melee attack type unit. So lets see my strategy this time in the table below

Summoner+2 Health Trample ReachI am using this summoner because i will playing with Melee monster and will utilize the trample ability and reach ability. And in water element there is melee monster that having great status and have great ability such as a Deeplurker that having Opportunity ability that can hunting down the lowest health in opponent line up and it after defetead opponent monster it will activate the trample ability.
Filler SupportI am using this monster as a sacrifice monster that will give the next line up monster additional buff status with martyr ability.
Main AttackerCoastal Sentry is the main attacker that i am prepared in this battle, because this monster is having double strike ability that pretty cool ability make this units is terrifying. And if this monster defeated enemy it will activate the trample ability that given by my Summoner Possibilus. And after got buffed bby martyr effect it will having total 10 melee damage after attacking twice. It is huge damage especially in silver league.
AttackerI am using Deeplurker as attacker too helping my Coastal Sentry attacking and hunting down opponent line up monster that having lowest health. And after this monster defeated opponent it will activate the trample ability that can gives additional damage to the next line up opponent monster. So combination with Coastal Sentry is pretty compatible. Coastal Sentry will attacking from front and Deeplurker will attacking the lowest monster it can be from middle or behind.
Support AttackerI need to bring Supply Runner because this monster ability is very needed to my straegy line up. Many player i am encountered is having better luck than me and if my team having same speed as opponent it will make opponent team will attacking first than my monster. Thats why i need to make my line up faster than opponent. Forget about the miss chance since in Silver League right now i think there are many cheater or be the luckiest person in the world, because i am often getting miss attacking opponent monster with just 1 speed different and opponent not miss even though the speed different with mine is 6 speed. Thats why yeah i am bringing this monster in order to gives chance to my line up just attcking first.
SupportI think just bringing one additional speed buff in my line up is not enough, so i am bringing this monster to make my team line up more faster. So my Coastal Sentry will attacking first before opponent attacking my line up. And if my team can defeated opponent line up monster first it will make my team will having higher chance to win the battle.
Taunt Tanker I need to bringing taunt monster in my line up since i am bringing Clockword Aide in my team. So if opponent bringing monster that having opportunity ability will attacking my taunt monster first before attacking my lowest monster in my line up. And while opponent line up still attacking my Taunt monster,my Coastal Sentry and my Deeplurker will hunting down opponent line up like tidal wave.

So, this is my line up with just focused with 3 monster in this line up that is Coastal Sentry that attacking from front and Deeplurker that can hunting down in deep ocean. And the tidal wave monster that is Wavebrood that can hold opponent line up monster attack with taunt ability. So, hopefully my attacker did not missing much attack to opponent line up in this battle. So no more magic monster that will get back damage from Counterspell ruleset battle. So i am decided to avoided using Magic monster type attack instead using one.

So, Lets go to the battle phase and see how the battle going

This time i am encountered with player that using Kelya as the summoner while i am using Possibilus as summoner. I am afraid that opponent will using Daarg combined with Baakjira or Merdaali Guardian since there are so many player that using that meta right now. I dont know from where they can get the cards, since i am renter player and the cards is not available in market. Maybe they have it.

Round 1 Part 1

As usual in first round both players will get buff and debuffed from both summoners and monsters. And this battle opponent did not bringing Daarg, i am so relieved. So, in this battle my team got Trample and Reach ability and get additional 2 health to my line up. Also my team got 2 additional speed buff from my Supply Runner and Clockwork Aide ability swiftness. And in opponent team line up got 1 speed Buff and 1 armor buff from opponent summoner ability, After buff and debuff the battle started and opponent Djinn Oshannus attacking my Wave Brood first. And like i said before monster like Djinn Oshannus will not getting damage after got magic reflect. because Djinn Oshannus having Void ability. After that my Supply Runner attacking Diemonshark that just attacking the armor but it reducing the max health because of cripple ability. Then my Deeplurker missing attacking opponent Pelacor Bandit. See?? Always like that, the fucking bastard RNG on splinterlands. Always like that. Then my Coastal Sentry finally break Diemonshark armor and crippling Diemonshark max health until reaching 5 health.

Round 1 Part 2

After my Coastal Sentry finished attacking Diemonshark then this time opponent Diemonshark attacking my Venari Marksrat, then following by Flying Squid defeated my Venari marksrat and it activate the martyr ability and gives additional status to my Coastal Sentry. Then opponent Deeplurker attacking my Wave Brood. then following by opponent Pelacor Bandit attacking my Wave brood. then opponent Swamp Spitter repairing Diemonshark armor and then attacking my Wave brood.And the last movement is my Wave brood break opponent Diemonshark armor and crippling Diemonshark health.

Round 2

In round 2 my Coastal Sentry attacking opponent Diemonshark and after the first attack Coastal Sentry defeated Diemonshark and activated the trample ability and break Flying Squid armor and the gives damage to Flying Squid in second attack. Then this time Djinn Oshannus still attacking my Wave Brood. Then my Supply Runner attacking Flying Squid. After that my Deeplurker defeated Flying Squid and activate the Trample ability and attacking Djinn Oshannus armor. and Pelacor Bandit defeated my Wave Brood. After that opponent Deeplurker attacking my Clocwork Aide and just hit the armor. After that opponent Swamp Spitter repair Djinn Oshannus armor and attacking my Coastal Sentry armor.

Round 3

In round 3 my Coastal Sentry just make opponent Djinn Oshannus health damaged by half but cannot defeated it. Then opponent Djinn Oshannus aatacking my Coastal Sentry and then my Supply Runner attacking Djinn Oshannus. After that my Deeplurker defeated Djinn Oshannus and the trample ability break opponent Deepluker armor and crippling it. Then opponent Pelacor Bandit attacking my Clockwork Aide armor and then opponent Deeplurker missing attacking my Coastal Sentry. Thats very odd. Then opponent Swamp Spitter repairing opponent Deeplurker armor and attacking my Coastal Sentry.

Round 4 & 5

In round 4 my Coastal Sentry still the faster monster in this battle and after the second attack my Coastal Sentry defeated opponent Deeplurker and activate the Trample ability and break opponent Swamp Spitter armor. Then my Supply Runner attacking Swamp Spitter. Following my Deeplurker defeated opponent Swamp Spiiter and activate trample ability but this round just break opponent Pelacor Bandit armor. And needed extended until round 5 and finally my Coastal Sentry defeated opponent Pelacor Bandit.

Overall this battle still awesome. And my strategy dominated with soulbound cards. So i am suggesting players lets collect the soulbound cards, because soulbound cards is very usefull in every battle in every league.

Conclution

After experiencing this battle when encountered with Counterspell ruleset, there is 2 ways in dealing with this ruleset, either still using magic monster type but having void ability or using Immortalis that giving Void ability. And the other is avoiding using Magic type attack and using another type of attack like what i am doing in this battle. But i can say that it is easier way to avoiding Magic type attack and using another type attack in your arrangement. And in many league there is many ways using another type of attack and combined strategy without using any magic type attack in your line up.
