Fire and Water battle in Counterspell Ruleset Brawl Edition

what's up Splinter Player around the world how are you doing? I want to share my battle using my own account . And this battle i want to share my experience battle in brawl edition with @team-philippines guild. If you are interested to sharing or hang out with great people you can join in our discord channel
teamph discord channel. There are so many great player there, i am growing so fast in skill because of them, watching they gameplay and strategy is the best way improving my strategy skill.
And in this battle of course it is not to far away with the Counterspell ruleset that make me in this battle using melee type attack. As i said before in my last content, Counterspell ruleset is really dangerous if we dont play it carefully. Becase it will be very hurt if opponent bringing amplify ability or using summoner that having amplify ability. Looks simple but it really dangerous, thats why often player are avoiding playing with magic moster type attack and void ability and using melee or range attack type monster instead.

Okay since you guys know that the ruleset is Broken Arrows lets knowing this ruleset a little bit deeper.This ruleset description is

All units receive the magic reflect ability at the start of the battle. Enemy units that attack with magic receive damage back.
Damage returned is equal to the damage of the attacker divided by 2, rounded up.
Magic units with the reflection shield ability do not take damage from reflected magic attacks.
The amplify ability increases damage.

See, Amplify will increase the damage of damage back. And it will be worsened if we got back damage plus opponent damage. It makes our monster hard to sustain in battle. Thats why many player often avoid using magic type monster and using other type attack instead. And in this brawl battle i don't want to risking my battle with new strategy that using void ability. It will costing my team in brawl since one win can determine the winner of the brawl. But, unfotunately this brawl our guild just got second place not first place. I know they are tried the best. Thats why i am not risking any battle. I am afraid that i will be the burden of the team. So, lets see how i arrange this time

Strategy Phase

As you can see in the picture above this battle have 3 ruleset, The first ruleset is Counterspell that means all monster units will having magic reflect ability, you can read it again above. The second ruleset is Broken Arrows that means both player cannot using any range monster units. And the last but not least is Equalizer that means all monster will having equal health with the highest health in the board battle. The manacap that can be used is just 29 which is very low, So i can say this battle is the battle of the minions. Using the lowest manacost monster with better ability. The element that cannot be used in this battle is Earth and Life Element. Okay since this is brawl battle. So the strongest gladius card cannot be used. They are in Earth and Life element. There is Katrelba Gobson that can attack twice and in Life element there is Captain Katie. And this battle i am choosing water element and playing melee monster type unit combined with high speed attack. Since the Broken Arrows ruleset forced all of us cannot using range monster so Quix will be a little useless. And the choice is either uisng death element with life sapper or using Fire or Water element that focused with sneak melee army. But, remember using Death element with Life Sapper monster units is really high risk. And yet i think it still better using Sneak army by looking the ruleset.Okay, for your information i am filling Silver Modern Gold Foil Fray in my guild.So,you can see my strategy in the table below with just using Gold Foil only and my Gladius gold foil cards is very limited

Summoner+1 Speed +1 ArmorI am using Kelya as summoner with water element because i will utilize the speed of the monster unit that very fast. I imagine that opponent will using melee monster combined with sneak ability that ca attack from behind. Thats why i am picking water element that having high speed status and it will make my team will attacking first and have higher chance to dodge opponent melee attack with having high different speed with the opponent.
Frontline Tanker I am using this gladius monster because this monster is pretty good as a frontline tanker with shield ability that can reducing any melee damage since i believe that opponent will not using any magic monster in this battle because it will having more risk with Counterspell ruleset. And if this monster succed defeated opponent it will activate the bloodlust and make this monster getting stronger.
Attacker Tide Biter is very usefull in low manacap battle because this monster is costing just 3 mana that having pretty good status. Both attack and speed of this monster is pretty good. Also this monster having reach ability that can still attack even though placing in second position. Also this monster having reflection shield ability that can protected from blast ability or thorns ability.
SupportWhen encountered with Equalizer ruleset i am having habit that using Support monster that having heal ability because if the highest health of any monster is very big, it will make heal is very usefull. And it will make my team more sustain in battle than not bringing any healing ability at all.
Support This time i am still bringing Spirit Hoarder even though this monster is magic type attack. But, this monster is having triage ability that can healing backrow team mates. So, if this monster get back damage from Counterspell ruleset. it can healed by this monster ability triage. And my reason bringing this monster because this mosnter having dispel ability that can resetting any buff that opponent get. And when brawl many player using Gladius card that having bloodlust ability. Thats why bringing monster with dispel ability is very needed.
Back AttackerI am using Uraeus as back attacker because in low manacost battle Uraeus is still pretty good because this monster is just cost 3 mana and having good both in speed and melee attack. Also this monster having 1 additional armor so if opponent using sneak monster too this monster can holding some of the attack.
Back Attacker and Tanker I am using Pelacor Bandit as a backline tanker because this monster having high speed and having flying ability that having high chance to dodge opponent melee attack that using sneak ability. Also this monster is having good melee attack too. So it will attacking first opponent backliner first and starting destroying opponent line up from behind.

So this is my strategy in one of my brawl battle that pretty good battle especially when the manacap is very limited. Lets see how the battle going in battlephase shall we.

This time i am encountered with player from YGG Brawlers that using Tarsa as summoner with Fire element. So this is the battle beetween speed and power. Fire and Water element clash. Sometimes when the RNG is very bad it will make the power win the battle, but sometimes when RNG is very good the speed is dominant than power. And lets see who will win in this battle.

Round 1

As usual in round 1 both parties got buff and debuff from both summoners and monsters. In this battle my team got 1 additional armor and 1 additional speed from my summoner Kelya Frendul and got health equalizer be 7 to all my monster unit. And magic reflect ability from Counterspell ruleset. Then in opponent side got 1 Melee attack buff and 1 Health buff from opponent summoner Tarsa also 1 additional speed from Krash Wanderford ability swiftness. Okay lets rumbe, the first attacker goes to opponent Exploding Rats attacking my Alva The Crusher but just only broke my Armor. And the blast effect is not damaging at all because my Tide Biter having Reflection Shield ability. Then my Tide Bitter attacking Exploding Rats following by my Pelacor Bandit and Uraeus attacking opponent Xenith Monk in opponent backliner. I think the opponent placement and strategy is pretty good. High Speed in front and Healing in Backline that cannot be penetrated from sneak attack. Then opponent Tenyii Striker attacking my Pelacor Bandit and just break the armor,the my Alva attacking opponent Exploding Rats and then opponent Mad Ogre attacking my Alva and completely destroy my Alva Armor. Then my Spirit Hoarder attacking Exploding Rats and get back damage. following the same movement on opponent side.

Round 2

In round 2 still the first attacker goes to Exploding Rats attacking my Alva The Crusher. and then my Tide Biter missing attacking Exploding Rats. See, just one speed different my monster can miss. Very odd. Then opponent Xenith Monk healing himself. After that my Pelacor Bandit and Uraeus back attacking Xenith Monk and gives 4 damage total. Then my Merdaali Guardiang healing my Alva The Crusher. After that opponent Tenyii Striker attacking my Pelacor Bandit. Then my Alva Attacking Exploding Rats but cannot defeated it. After that Mad Ogre attacking my Pelacor Bandit but missing the attack. Then my Spirit Hoarder healing my Pelacor Bandit and defeated opponent Exploding Rats and yeah sure got back damage from magic reflect ability. Then opponent Spirit Hoarder healing Xenith Monk and attacking my Alva The Crusher and got back damage.

Round 3

In round 3 after Exploding Rats defeated the first attacker goes to my Tide Biter attacking Krash Wanderford but missing the attack and then opponent Xenith Monk healing himself again and then still looping that my Pelacor Bandit and Uraeus attacking Xenith Monk. I think my team choice is just attacking from front because the backline will be just looping and cannot be defeated. Then my Merdaalu Guardian healing my Alva The Crusher and then following by Tenyii Striker attacking my Pelacor Bandit and miss the attack. Then My Alva The Crusher attacking Krash Wanderfor and got thorns damage. And then opponent Mad Ogre attacking my Spirit Hoarder since Mad Ogre having opportunity ability that will hunting down the lowest Health first, but just break my Spirit Hoarder armor. Then my Spirit Hoarder healing himself and attacking Krash Wanderford and got back damage. After that the last movement is opponent Spirit Hoarder healing Xenith Monk and attacking Alva and got back damage.

Round 4

In round 4 still my Tide Biter attacking first to opponent Krash Wanderford and the thorns effect did not gives any damage to my Tide Biter because the Reflection Shield ability.Then opponent Xenith Monk once again healing himself and then repeated by my Pelacor Bandit and Uraeus attacking Xenith Monk, after that my Merdalii Guardian healing Alva The Crusher then opponent Tenyii Striker hit Pelacor Bandit. See, flying ability is not having effect on me. Always like that both ranked or brawl or turney. It is very odd. Then my Alva attacking Krash Wanderford and yet cannot defeated it just leaving 1 health remain. Then opponent Mad Ogre attacking my Pelacor Bandit and defeated it. Then my Sipirt Hoarder healing himself and defeated opponent Krash Wanderford. and of course get backdamage too. The last opponent Spirit Hoarder attacking my Alva and get back damage too.

Round 5

In round 5 still my Tide Biter the first attacker that attacking opponent Mad Ogre but just break the armor. Then opponent Xenith Monk healing himself and then my Uraeus attacking Xenith Monk again. If Mad Ogre can holding until Tenyii Striker defeated my Merdaali Guardian opponent team will win the battle, but if Mad Ogre defeated first and opponent Tenyii Striker goes to front. It will be the end of opponent line up. And i think this battle i will win. Then my Merdaali Guardian healing my Alva and then My Alva The Crusher attacking Mad Ogre. Slowly but sure opponent line up down one by one. Then opponent Tenyii Striker attacking my Uraeus and break the armor. And then my Spirit Hoarder healing himself and attacking Mad Ogre and get back damage. Then opponent Spirit Hoarder healing himself and attacking my Alva and get back damage.

Round 6

In Round 6 stil my Tide Biter attacking Mad Ogre and then Uraeus attacking Xenith Monk and then my Merdaali Guardian healing my Alva then opponent Xenith Monk healing himself. Then my Alva still cannot defeated opponent Mad Ogre. The buff from Tarsa make the calculation of the bloodlust missing making my Alva cannot defeated opponent frontline tanker at all. Then opponent Tenyii Striker hit my Uraeus and then my Spirit Hoarder healing Uraeus and defeated Mad Ogre this time and got back damage. Then last is opponent Spirit Hoarder healing himself and attacking my Alva and get back damage.

Round 7

In round 7 after opponent Mad Ogre can finally defeated, i am pretty sure that i will win the battle especially my Alva The Crusher not defeated opponent line up lacking of damage and in my team still having more damage and opponent did not having tank healing at all. So, this time still my Tide Biter attacking opponent Tenyii Striker first and then my Uraeus still attacking Xenith Monk, and then my Merdaali Guardian healing my Alva till full health and then my Alva The Crusher attacking Tenyii Striker and then opponent Tenyii Striker attacking Alva back and then opponent Xenith Monk healing himself and the last is both Spirit Hoarder attacking both frontliner and got backdamage.

Round 8

In round 8 the end of the battle started to show up. After Tide Biter attacking Tenyii Striker and leaving just 1 health it will make sure that my Alva will activated the bloodlust effect and will very hard to defeated. Then my Uraeus attacking Xenith Monk and opponent Xenith Monk healing himself. Then my Alva finally defeated Tenyii Striker and activate the bloodlust. Then my Spirit Hoarder healing my Uraeus and gives damage to opponent Spirit Hoarder. And the last opponent Spirit Hoarder attacking Alva and get back damage and cannot healing himself again since now in Frontline position.

Round 9-11

Since the battle result will make me win the battle i will combined round 9 until end, In round 9 my Team can defeated opponent Spirit Hoarder. And in round 10 my team cannot defeated Xenith Monk since Xenith Monk having heal ability. But, in next round Xenith Monk can defeated easily.

Conclution

The battle between Fire and Water element is determine with the total damage with total health. But, remember the sustainable and speed too. I think based on my opinion water element with Kelya Frendull as summoner in low manacap battle still stronger than using Fire element with Tarsa as summoner. The choice of the back attack in Fire element still limited and Pelacor Bandit still can be reliable. But, if using Tarsa and bringing new Rebellion cards called Nimbledook Scout and Gobaland Soldier. That will make chaos edition sneak strategy down. The ambush will make my strategy destroyed as soon as possible. Other than that, I think still water element is my favourite in Silver League.
