Healing can Surprass Reflection Shield Ability in Explosive Weaponry Ruleset Battle

what's up Splinter Player around the world how are you doing? I want to share my battle using my scholar account in Balthazar Huild and this time i am playing in Gold Modern Format League. And in this content i will sharing that this time i am using healing ability to holding the blast ability that given by Explosive Weaponry ruleset. So i gambling with healing ability from Baakjira to holding attack from opponent line up. Hopefully the healing ability can surprass opponent blast damage. And hopefully my frontline tanker can defeat opponent frontline tanker first before my Baakjira be a tanker. I think using healing ability is not too bad for the tanker if you dont have any monster that having reflection shield ability. So the choices is using healing ability and in this case i am using Baakjira and water element to surprassing the blast damage. Interesting right, if you are curious with my strategy scroll down and see what i am thinking on this strategy battle.

Okay since you guys know that the ruleset is Broken Arrows lets knowing this ruleset a little bit deeper.This ruleset description is

All units gain the Blast ability.Additional damage is equivalent to main damage divided by 2, rounded up.Include a unit with Reflection Shield in your lineup to absorb blast damage and protect your back line.

So, if you dont have any monster that having reflection shield ability, we need to think out of the box right? In my case i dont have any monster that having reflection shield ability. And i decided to using monster that having heal ability instead reflection shield ability. Thats why i am sharing my battle. Who knows you guys got some idea after reading my content.

Strategy Phase

As you can see in the picture above this battle have 3 ruleset. The first ruleset is FabFour that means Up to four units can be used, so we just can bring 4 monster only in this battle. The second ruleset is Taking Side that means both player cannot using neutral monster in this battle. The last but not least is Explosive Weaponry that means all monster will having blast ability. The manacap that can be used in this battle is just 27 mana which is low enough. And the element that can be used in this battle is Fire element,Water element, and Death element. This is pretty hard choice, the good one is using water element since in water element there are many monster with high speed and high attack too. And this time i am choosing water element too. So lets see how i arrange the strategy, you can look in the table below

Summoner+1 Speed +1 ArmorI am choosing using Kelya as summoner because this summoner only cost 4 manacap only in water element. And this summoner also gives pretty great buff to all my team that is adding 1 speed and 1 armor. I think this ability will make my team stronger.
Frontline Tanker I am using this monster because this monster is pretty good as a tanker with retaliate ability that having chance to counter any melee attack damage that this monster taken and also if this monster got directly hit by its health it will buff the status by enrage ability and this monster will be stronger than before. And the last is trample ability that can gives additional attack to next monster on opponent line up after defeated the opponent line up monster.
Secondline Tanker In this Explosive Weaponry ruleset battle, i am using this monster as a tanker because this monster having heal ability that can survive long enough in this battle. With healing ability after took damage by blast ability this monster can healing again to make the health back to full again. Not only that if opponent using magic monster type attack this monster also having void ability that can reduce the magic damage. Then the slow ability will make opponent got speed reduce and make my team having big chance to attack first. And in this ruleset attacking first sometimes can determine the winner.
Attacker I am using this monster to hunting down the lowest health in opponent line up with opportunity ability. So, with finishing off opponent attacker first before the tanker it will make my team will having big chance to winning the battle. And this monster equipped with poison ability that have chance to give opponent poison effect that can gives 2 damage every round. Also this monster will reduce opponent melee type attack with demoralize ability.
Backline Tanker & Attacker I am using Pelacor Bandit because this monster having great speed and having flying ability that can make this monster will be untouchable from melee or range monster with low speed monster. Also this monster will attacking opponent backline too. Hoping this monster can helping my Deeplurker to make opponent lose their armor first and then go defeated by my Deeplurker. Also this monster can be a good defend with flying ability.

So, this is my strategy this time, I am pretty confused at the first because in this account does not have Tide Bitter card or Venator Kinjo card and with Taking Side ruleset so even though i have Venator Kinjo, this monster also cannot be used in this battle, so in this deck does not have any monster that having reflection shield ability. Thats why i am preventing the blast damage using tanker that having heal ability. Hopefully opponent does not bringing any monster that focusing on attacking my backline. If opponent bringing monster that having sneak ability maybe my chance to win this battle is very low.So, without further ado lets check the battle in battlephase shall we.

Battlephase

this time i am encountered with player that using Lux Vega as a summoner. I think this battle will be hard especially Lux Vega is better summoner than Kelya Frendull. But lets see how the battle going. So, both players will bringing all maxed monster in this battle since the summoner in max level too.

Round 1

As usual in round 1 both parties got buff and debuff from both summoners and monsters. This time my team got

  • 1 Speed and Armor from my summoner Kelya Frendul ability
  • 1 Health buff from my Baakjira ability strengthen
  • 1 Melee attack debuff from opponent Deeplurker ability Demoralize

In opponent team got

  • 1 Speed,Armor, and Health from opponent summoner Lux Vega ability
  • 2 Armor buff from opponent Venary Wavesmith ability protect
  • 1 Speed Debuff from my Baakjira ability Slow
  • 1 Melee attack debuff from my Deeplurker ability Demoralize

After buff and debuff stuff then the battle started, i think with this ruleset this battle will be ending so fast. With retaliate ability it will like ping pong battle from both diemonshark i think. So, once again it will determined by the RNG again. So, the first attack in this round is my Pelacor Bandit attacking opponent Venari Wavesmith and break the armor and the blast effect is hit opponent Deeplurker armor. Then following by my Diemonshark attacking opponent Diemonshark but just hit the armor and the blast effect get muted by opponend Tide Bitter. Then opponent Diemonshark activated retaliate ability and counter my attack and hit my Diemonshark armor. and the blast effect hit my Baakjira Armor. Then my Deeplurker attacking opponent Venari Wavesmith since its have the lowest health in opponent line up,but still cannot defeat it and gives poison effect and the blast effect break opponent Deeplurker armor completely. Then, opponent Venari Wavesmith attacking my Diemonshark and directly hit to its health since magic type attack and active the enrage ability of my Diemonshark and the blast effect gives my Baakjira 1 damage only due the void ability. Then opponent Tide Bitter attacking my Diemonshark and hitting its armor and gives 1 damage to my Baakjira and then my Diemonshark activate the retaliate ability and counter opponent Tide Bitter attack and break Tide Bitter armor and the blast attack hit opponent Diemonshark armor and gives 3 damage to opponent Deeplurker. And this time opponent Diemonshark missing attacking my Diemonshark. Then opponent Deeplurker also missing attacking my Pelacor Bandit and the last is my Baakjira healing itself and making the health full again.

Round 2

In round 2 before the battle started, opponent Venari Wavesmith will die due the poison effect. Then, the first attack goes to my Diemonshark attacking opponent Diemonshark and break its armor and the blast effect not gives any damage to opponent Tide Bitter due the Reflection Shield ability. Then my Pelacor Bandit attacking opponent Deeplurker and leaving just 2 health to opponent Deeplurker and the blast effect did not gives any damage to opponent Tide Bitter. Then, my Deeplurker defeat opponent Deeplurker and the blast effect not giving any damage to Tide Bitter. But, since opponent Deeplurker defeated then the demoralize ability will gone and make my melee monster attack will be back to normal again. Then, opponent Tide Bitter attacking my Diemonshark and break all my Diemonshark armor and gives my Baakjira 1 damage also. But, this time Tide Bitter attack provoke my Diemonshark retaliate ability active and counter opponent Tide Bitter and gives total 6 damage and gives blast damage to opponent Diemonshark 3 damage. Then opponent Diemonshark active enrage ability and the attack will be 5 and this time attacking my Diemonshark. Fortunately my Diemonshark did not defeated but gives 3 damage to my Baakjira. And the last is my Baakjira healing itself and since opponent damage not reaching 7 damage my Baakjira can healing to full health.

Round 3

In round 3 the first attacker is my Diemonshark since my Diemonshark is faster than opponent Diemonshark. But, this time opponent Diemonshark activate retaliate ability and countering my Diemonshark and defeated my Diemonshark and giving 3 damage blast to my Baakjira. And before opponent Diemonshark activate the Trample ability, my Diemonshark activate the retaliate ability too and defeated opponent Diemonshark. So, the trample wont active. And both player Diemonshark defeated in this round. And since opponent line up leaving with Tide Bitter with just 1 health it will be pretty easy to defeat by my Pelacor Bandit. As i predicted with Explosive Weaponry ruleset combined with Fabfour ruleset will make this battle faster than usual. And it is great news that Heal ability can surprass Reflection Shield ability somehow.

Conclution

After experiencing this battle, i think using Heal ability especially Baakjira in low manacap ruleset battle is can subtitute Reflection Shield ability. Especially with Baakjira that having heal ability with huge amount of health that can be healed every turn. It will be hard to penetrate the other line up if opponent just focusing on frontline tanker only. And when frontline tanker defeated, then Baakjira can replacing as a Frontline Tanker too. So, it will make the line up having double tanker in front. And we still need bringing monster that can attack from behind or monster that having opportunity ability to hunting down the lowest health monster first. That will make our team more solid than opponent team. And in this battle i can say that Baakjira is the key to win because having slow ability that can make opponent line up slower than our team. Thats why my team can beat opponent strategy line up. So, using Tanker that can heal in second line can be a substitue strategy for you guys, you can try it or even better if can modify it.
