Melee Low Mana Duel in Broken Arrows Ruleset Battle

what's up Splinter Player around the world how are you doing? I want to share my battle using my scholar account in Balthazar guild. And since playing scholar account so that mean the battle is in Diamond Modern Format League.In this battle i want to share how to manage low mana battle in Diamon League,because the battle maybe is not interesting.But, It is very hard because the limited cap makes player need to thinking outside the box if want to defeat the opponent. Especially in this battle, both players cannot using any range unit monsters due the ruleset Broken Arrows. So the choice is just either using Magic Type unit monsters or using Melee type unit monsters. It makes player really really needs to think hard to arrange such a good team to having both defence and attack in the same time with super limited cap. Still curious how hard to arrange in low mana battle? Lets check it out in my Strategy Phase then

Okay since you guys know that the ruleset is Broken Arrows lets knowing this ruleset a little bit deeper.This ruleset description is

Units with ranged attacks cannot be used.Units with 2 types of attack (which include ranged) cannot be used.
Consider utilizing units with Thorns or Magic Reflect, as your opponent will have to use either melee or magic units.

Okay, this ruleset usually make the player benefit because we just need to guess that the opponent will using either magic type attack or melee type attack. And mostly player will using Magic type monster because the magic type will hit directly on health and ignoring Armor. But, what do you think if we just have very limited manacap that can be used. Still using magic type monster or using melee type monster in the battle? Since usually Magic type monster not having defence at all and just all out for offence and if the opponent using monster that having magic reflect or Void ability. It will make our magic type monster will be useless right. So, lets see what ruleset that make me especially thinking hard in this battle. Without further ado, lets looking in Strategy Phase

As you can see in the picture above this battle have only 2 ruleset that is Rise of The Commons that means we only can using rare and common rarity in this battle, so it will make the choice that all player have will be super limited. Since rare and common that having low mana is very little. The second ruleset is Broken Arrows that means both players cannot using any Range type unit monster in this battle. And here we are the manacap in this battle is just 14 manacap. So if the summoners included and using just 4 mana summoners it will make the remain mana that can be used is just 10 manacap. That is very little. Combined with only common and rare monster only. Yeah it is very hard choice in this battle. Both players need think a lot to make the battle that literally only 10-15 seconds. And what make it worse is the element that we can use in this battle is only Fire and Life element. Both element basically is having pretty good manacost monster for rare and commons unit. But, because both are good. So we need to think right, which one is better. Using RNG with Pelacor Conjurer or using Antoid Platoon with scavenger ability. So lets see what i choose this time in the table below

Summoner+1 Melee Attack +1 HealthFinally i am choosing Fire element in this battle because when i am thinking want to using Life element, it will be hard if opponent using Antoid Platoon that having shield ability that can reduce any melee type attack. And when depending on RNG, i am pretty sure that i will lose the battle. Because i am rarely friendly with the RNG thing. So i am decided using Tarsa that make me at least having higher chance to win the battle.
FillerI still need Radiated Scorcher to destroy opponent Armor first if opponent using Antoid Platoon. So this monster is very suitable for frontline filler. Hopefully this monster is faster than opponent monster to make the first move and destroy the armor first before this monster died. But, if the opponent using Life element that mostly using Pelacor Conjurer as a frontliner and make this monster miss the attack and then died from others opponent attak, it is okay because my Antoid Platoon will get 1 additional health after this unit died due the Scavenger ability.
Frontline Tanker & Attacker I am using Antoid Platoon in this battle because i know if using magic type unit monster in this battle will having higher risk to lose the battle, so i think the opponent will using melee monster to used in this battle. Thats why i am choosing Antoid Platoon that having shield ability to reduce the damage from melee attack and this monster having scavenger ability that can adding maximum health after any unit monster died. And Antoid Platoon status is pretty good for the common unit monster to both defence and attack.
Backline Attacker The last i am using Tenyii Striker as a backline attacker because this unit monster is pretty great for defence and attacker, This monster having sneak attack that can attacking opponent backliner and this monster also having high speed and high melee attack. This monster have dodge ability too that gives chance to dodge any melee monster type attack from behind and if the dodge active the backfire ability will active and gives back attack to opponent that miss attacking this monster.

And finally this is my strategy this time. It very hard to arrange strategy in this battle since the manacap is very low and with the Rise of The Common ruleset make it worse with the very limited choice. And yeah this is the hardest choice to make this strategy works. Hopefully my strategy can work this time and opponent using melee type monster too. If the opponent reckless using magic monster, maybe my strategy won't work anymore. Because i still thinking if the opponent will using Captain Kattie combined with soulbound summoner. But, i think it will not happens i guess. So wonder how the opponent will arrange the strategy in this ruleset, lets check it out in battle phase then.

Okay this time i am encountered with player that using the same strategy as mine that using melee type monster in this battle ruleset. So my choice was right in the first place. But before looking in the battle lets see the different of the strategy this time.

Okay after looking my strategy above, this is the strategy arrangement for the opponent line up. I know what opponent think that if using exploding rats, the opponent will attacking first and gives hard strike first and giving splash damage due the blast ability that exploding rats have. And Exploding Rats having higher chance to dodge the attack. But, back again if you are not using script or helper i did not suggest that depends on RNG because yeah human player is not get advantage in this game using RNG. I am still having conclution and hypotesis that RNG created just for cheater and the crony. So, let's see the battle. If my calculation is correctly, my Antoid Platoon is way stronger than Exploding Rats because the scavenger ability.

Round 1

In Round 1 still as usual both parties got buff and debuff from both summoners and monster, this time both parties got 1 melee Buff from both summoners Tarsa and 1 health buff from both summoners Tarsa. Then the battle started and the first move is absolutely is Exploding Rats that attacking my Radiated Scorcher and make my Radiated Scorcher died and the splash damage is just damaging my Antoid Platoon armor. Then after Radiated Scorcher died the scavenger ability active and make my Antoid Platoon adding maximum health. Then following by my Tenyii Striker defeated opponent Chaos Agent, and this make me think that in this battle the RNG is not active i guess because no miss at all even though having dodge ability in both monsters. And after Chaos Agent defeated makes my Antoid Platoon ability scavenger active again and makes the maximum health of my Antoid Platoon be 8 in the end of this turn. Then opponent Tenyii Striker attacking my Tenyii Striker but it cannot make my Tenyii Striker died.And the last moves is my Antoid Platoon attacking opponent Exploding Rats and defeated it it will activate the scavenger and make the health of my Antoid Platoon to be 9 and yeah the RNG is not working in this battle.

Round 2

In round 2 the first attacker goes to my Tenyii Striker attacking opponent Tenyii Striker that now is the only opponent left. And then opponent Tenyii Striker break my Antoid Platoon armor this turn. And i said before that the RNG is not active right but it turns out that the RNG still active the prove is my Antoid Platoon miss attacking opponent Tenyii Striker this time and got backfire damage. Still leaving with just 2 health only on opponent line up is very hard to beat my line up. Thanks to scavenger ability that Antoid Platoon have.

Round 3

In round 3 still my Tenyii Striker that attacking first and this time defeated opponent Tenyii Striker and makes me win this battle.So, using Antoid Platoon in the battle of low mana with melee type attack still the great choice to make.

Conclution

Okay speaking of the low mana battle, when i am looking this battle i am trying to searching and finding how to beat up and gives the best line up in low mana battle especially when many forbidden ruleset that make players hard to pick the best line up. So, using melee type attack that having shield ability still the best choice because the mana cost of magic monster in both element that available that is Fire and Life element is very high mana cost. So, it will be battle the melee army. Thats why i am using Antoid Platoon this time. Also Antoid Platoon is still the best frontliner because having shield that can reduce the melee type damage taken and havign scavenger ability that can adding the maximum health of Antoid Platoon.
