Weak Magic Modifier In Focus

Weak Magic Modifier battles feel slow but they become very tricky as rounds go on. Since magic attacks hit armor first, the value of armor becomes much higher than usual. This modifier changes how players normally think about magic damage and armor.
What I like about Weak Magic Modifier is how it pushes more defensive play. Instead of rushing damage you need to think about sustain and keeping your armor. Battles can last longer which gives room for abilities to slowly decide the winner.

- Weak Magic Modifier gives more power to armor than ever. Magic attacks no longer feels scary because units needs to break armor first before damaging the health. This makes units with high defense more durable and this rewards players who know how to protect their units properly.

5 Combos You Can Do with Weak Magic Modifier

| - Protect ability is one of the strongest tools in Weak Magic Modifier. Giving +2 armor to the whole team makes magic damage much weaker early on. With Protect active, magic focused teams need more time to break through. This gives your units more turns to attack and try to win. Even low health units survive longer just because of extra armor. | ||

| - Repair ability shines in Weak Magic battles because armor is always under attack. Restoring 2 armor every round can completely shut down some big magic damage. This is very effective when paired with Protect ability. Units with Repair can keep your frontline alive much longer. However, if Repair unit dies early your plan can also affect the battle. Make sure they are well protected and keep them around the middle of the pack. | ||

| - Shatter ability is a strong answer to heavy armor strategies in Weak Magic Modifier. One hit removes all armor from the target which breaks high armor setups instantly. This is very useful against teams that rely too much on Weak Magic modifier. Even though Shatter removes armor enemies can still repair it later unless they are affected by Corrosive Ward ability. Still, this is really good especially when your enemies have high armor like Bera Dallin. | ||

| - Resurrect ability works very well with Weak Magic Modifier. When a unit revives, it comes back with 1 health but full armor. Since magic attacks hits armor first the revived unit can still take several hits before they die again. This ability adds extra value to tanks and Taunt units. A revived unit can absorb damage again and buy time for the rest of the team. | ||

| - Taunt ability becomes very strong in Weak Magic Modifier because of the defensive nature of the battle. A Taunt unit with high armor can soak magic attacks for many rounds. This protects fragile backline units very well. I recommend using a combo of Taunt and Repair units whenever there's Weak Magic modifier in the battle. When combined with Protect and Repair, Taunt units become very hard to die. This can build very durable Taunt defensive setups. The downside is once the Taunt unit falls, the rest of the team can collapse quickly. |

Closing Thoughts
Weak Magic Modifier can completely change the game and make armor very valuable. Armor focused abilities like Protect, Repair and Resurrect feel much stronger here. The counters like Shatter, Corrosive Ward and Rust also shine and are much valuable than in other battles. If you respect armor and ability synergy, this modifier can be very satisfying to play. On the other hand, if you're very used to magic-focused strategies where your units just ignore armor, then you would probably not like Weak Magic modifier that much.
