Hello everyone and welcome to my contest! I decided to try something a little different this time and want to introduce a battle contest!

The idea is that I'd like to highlight a battle or two featuring some strange, exciting, or FRUSTRATING battles for your viewing pleasure!

How This Will Work

This community is great and very welcoming to newcomers. If you browse PeakD, you'll see just how much user generated content there is which ranges from basic how to play guides, to more advanced strategies from the top leaderboard players, to investment advice!

To do my part in giving back, I'm starting a giveaway!

The rules are simple:

1. Comment below with an interesting, strange, or hilarious battle (don't forget to include your in-game name)
2. Provide a short comment on what makes your battle unique or special
3. Upvote this post
4. Entries must be entered before the post pays out (7 days from when I post).
5. You may submit up to 3 entries but you can only win once.

Congratulations @pero82! Your battle was chosen as today's winner! It was a hard decision but what ultimately set this battle apart from the others was not only the hilarious Last Stand monster but the edge of your seat battling that led to that result!

At first glance, the Llama/Kron/Golem has a STRONG chance of winning, especially when there is no Void Armor (or any Armor since we have Weak Magic) and repair being used.

The rules strongly encourage the use of Armor but neither decided to load up on Armor so it will be a slug fest.

When facing any kind of Llama/Golem/Kron lineup, the question is always "can I do enough damage and fast enough before I get taken out?"

If Llama gives Kron/Golem Last Stand, you're looking at a 6 damage healer with cleanse. Difficult to beat at low mana but a bit easier at medium/high mana.

Part One : Well That Didn't Go As Planned

The main reason I chose this battle is because Kron immediately gets deleted within 2 rounds. All the heavy sneak paid off and took out the biggest Last Stand threat! Llama user rely heavily on either Golem or Kron making it to the end which is why Kron is usually sitting in position 6 where he has the best chance of making it to the end alone but is very vulnerable to sneak attacks.

I suspect Pero82 saw that his enemy used a lot of Llamas in his past matchups.

Pero82 isn't out of the woods yet though, a Last Stand Golem is still a difficult monster to defeat.

Part Two : Last One Standing Is... Djinn Biljka??

I love a good Llama/Kron/Golem counter is this one takes the cake. Because Kron got taken out to early, you are left with a Last Stand Djinn Biljka. In this case, his Camouflage ability actually worked against him. It's likely that a Golem Last Stand would've happened if it wasn't for Camouflage.

Pero82 was dangerously close to losing but the Scavenger ability of Iza the Fanged gave her a clutch last minute +1 to her health which allowed her to survive the next Golem attack.

Runner-Up #1: @Henruc with the Glass Cannon Strategy

One of my favorite cards is the Exploding Rats for the shear ridiculousness of the card. It's literally the definition of a glass cannon. 1 health, 6 speed, and 3 damage with blast? If you're brave enough to place this in the tank position without the Equalizer ruleset, you better hope you're the fastest.

Even though you're supposed to get a Gargoya Devil, I'm going to send you an Exploding Rats as well for using it in the battle.

Runner-Up #2: @Luizeba with the "IDK Let's Throw out Mylor and See What Happens" Battle

To quote luizeba,

It's funny because I was cheesing my way through the ranks with a Yodin Zaku wombo-combo, but on this match I couldn't use him due the really low mana limit. So I was "screw that, let's throw Mylor and pray for the best"

Sometimes throwing out Mylor is the way to go! To his credit, his lineup was still very good. He has the Void ability to protect his tank from Magic while Thorns will help kill any melee tanks. He then backed it up with a Flying monster to protect himself against Earthquake.

I do find it funny that both opponents basically ignored the Reverse Speed ruleset by using some of the fastest monsters found at this level. For good reason at least!
