Featured Battle Winner: @Henruc!

Melee Buff vs Melee Debuff

Congratulations @henruc! Your battle was chosen as today's winner and win the Golf Foil Pelacor Conjurer! You've been part of this giveaway since the beginning and this will be your first win (you've gotten very close in the past).

As always, choosing a winner and even the runner-ups has been tough. I chose your battle because it seems like Doctor Blight just esacpes death over and over with the Scavenger ability. Truly frustrating when you're on the receiving end (trust me, I've been there). There have been times where I have a handful of monsters left against an 8 Health Doctor Blight and he just proceeds to delete my entire team.

On the initial review, it looks like you may be outgunned. Your opponent "should" have been able to pull this one out especially with the Blast damage which I assume would keep Doctor Blight's health from getting out of control. It is Reverse Speed, however, so that could cause some shenanigans.

Part One : Doctor Snipe

Doctor Blight is an absolute 4 mana beast and gets even better in Reverse Speed. Also, with the Snipe Ruleset, he's going to be busy taking out the backline support while avoiding damage with the Camouflage ability.

However, henruc's opponent does have Blast which will help keep Doctor Blight's health from skyrocketing from all the deaths.

There is a KEY miss at the very beginning where the Haunted Spirit whiffs (only 10% chance of missing) which allows the Djinn Chwala to survive 1 more round which would ALSO prevent Dr Blight from killing off the Screaming Banshee. Without that miss, I'm afraid Doctor Blight would not have made it through.

Part Two : Dr Blight and the Neverending Scavenge

Part Two

This part is the frustrating part for me. Doctor Blight is on the ropes, facing off against 3 Attackers. He pulls off the clutch Affliction which prevents the Haunted Spirit from healing himself. Still, Doctor Blight ends up with ONE health, and faces off against 2 low health monst.. wait.. no.. now he has TWO health.

That Scavenger ability gives him +1 Health with each dying monster so those last 2 enemies just can't do enough damage to take him out.

Congratulations again, @henruc! Thank you for your entry.

Great battle @pero82 and congratulations again!

Runner-Up #1: @Stekene with the Headscratcher Battle

This one was so close to winning because it made me laugh out loud when I saw what was happening.

First off, you're playing Obsidian and got nerfed by Mimosa. So now your magic is doing much less damage and also, you can't heal even if you wanted to.

When I saw the Nectar Queen, I shook my head because I hardly ever see it being used so it was definitely a headscratcher for me. However, it proved me wrong and ended up being the MVP of the battle.

Great entry by @stekene and congrats on the prize!

Runner-Up #2: @Amaillo-m with the WTF Battle

Full Battle Link: https://splinterlands.com/?p=battle&id=sm_UG877F20Mb5vWD78vq8Y

I had to include this battle because WTF. Your Level FOUR Thaddius against his Level EIGHT Thaddius!

WTF again.

For those of you who don't play in Gold or Diamond, the jump between a Level 4 Summoner and a Level 8 Summoner is MASSIVE. I don't care what the Rulesets are, what the available cards are, a gap this large should be an overwhelming victory for the higher summoner.

Oh boy was I wrong on this one. Amaillo-m has shown again and again in these challenges that HE KNOWS STRATEGY.

I mean c'mon. Look and compare the monsters on the two teams. They played a couple similar monsters but you can see just how much better those leveled up ones are. Amaillo-m just straight up outplayed his opponent.

Congrats again, @amaillo-m and thanks again for the entry!

Thanks for Stopping By

Congrats to all of the winners and thanks again for checking out this post. I hope it was fun and enjoyable content for you.

Like last week, I'll be sending the other entrants a consolation card just as a thank you for joining the contest (@vagabond42069 and @jim-crypto).

Make sure to leave a comment with your battle for a chance to win!
