# Last season of 2023! - Splinter Stats Ranked Rewards Season 38 Report Card

This season report card is for Season 38, which finished on the 31st of December 2023, and what a way to finish out my Splinterlands year!

I got higher in both Wild and Modern than I have in a really, really, really long time.
I broke into Champs III for maybe the first time in years, I'm not really sure, and got up to Gold II in Modern which I was honestly really thrilled with. I was just aiming for Gold III, to finally break out of Silver, and then in the last day I just kept going... It was amazing!

To be honest, my performance this season (with 1 day left) is no where near as good as this previous season. Maybe everyone was out celebrating the new year because I really just romped it in on the last day.

There are a few good things about breaking into new leagues at the end of a season:

1.) Your end of season loot chests are generally better
2.) You start the next season higher, which means far less grind.

The painful part is... I lost so much in the first half of this current season that I've only just gotten back to where I started. Dang!

Still, my performance in Season 38 was really good and I'm really pleased with how it all went. My Win/Loss ratio is pretty much exactly where I want it, and I took home 64 EoS chests. Super thrilled!

325 reward cards is absolutely my record! Absolutely thrilled with that progress.

As you can see from the Splintercards Soulbound Rewards Monitor I've still got a really long way to go before I'll be able to max out my soulbound cards. For Epic and Legendary cards, I'm still only at 30%, so I'm not even half way yet.

Spending as much time in Diamond and Champs is my only way to level these cards up, and it's tricky because I'm now often playing against accounts that do have maxed out reward cards.

So thrilled with these rewards! Ahhhh, so good!
You can see the comparison with previous seasons... but in Season 37, I got 67 EoS loot chests, but only (relatively) 242 cards because I finished in Diamond I. I got a lot more cards in fewer loot chests because I finished in Champs III instead of Diamond I. It makes a difference!

Alright, alright, alright, we're starting to climb back up!
Every one of these reward types is higher than last season except for Land Rewards (I'm expecting this to continually go down as people add more and more resources to Land). LP rewards went up by 500 SPS, so that's a surprise, I guess more people have pulled their liquidity out. I'm going to try and add a little more to the LPs each time I sell cards for DEC and collect SPS from staking. I think the LPs are a better bet at this point than the general SPS staking.

In closing, I think everything is going really well.
I'm still trying to get 5 daily loot chests by playing Wild at about 8pm each day, I think that's when it's easiest for me to win, and otherwise I'm slowly but surely trying to move Modern up to Gold and maybe even possibly Diamond one day... that might be many, many months away, but still... that's the audacious goal!
