# Everything is about to change! - Splinter Stats Ranked Rewards Season 41 Report Card

So I am really, really, really excited about the Ranked Battle Overhaul because I have just been struggling in Modern Silver for so so long. I managed to break free in this season 41, which was amazing, but in this current season (Season 42) I sunk all the way down to the 1200s (Silver III) and I am super struggling to break out of Silver again. I've currently only won 42% of games (48 out of 114) - it is really not going well.
The reason is that the game plays so differently in the different leagues, which is incredible, but it makes it so hard for me to play a Silver League style when I'm used to Diamond. Cards play differently with less abilities, and I play cards I totally shouldn't.
Silver is dominated by Katrela Gobson, Quora and Djinn OShannus and I just don't play those cards in Diamond (because I don't have them leveled up) so I just forget. Once the Ranked Battle Overhaul rolls in, I can just play my cards in the exact same way I do in Wild Diamond with the exact same abilities. I imagine I'll fly up the ladder in those first few days until I'm in about the same spot in Wild and Modern... which is exactly what I've been aiming for since Rebellion was released.
I did really well with the first airdrop conflict Rage:
I got 2 maxed copies and 3/4 of the gold foil version. I'd love to max out the gold foil version but the remaining cards on the market are just so expensive. Usually airdrop cards are very expensive immediately after the airdrop and then even out as more people acquire their cards... but the rarity of these cards meant the exact opposite, for both the regular and the gold foil the prices are way, way cheaper than they are now. Good to know for future I guess...

I was extremely happy with my performance in Season 41...
I got up to Champion III in Wild and Gold II in Modern... the highest I've been in Modern maybe ever. I scored myself 67 EoS Loot Chests for a full season winning value of $23.52 which is way more than Season 40's $13.10.
The actual value of the chests is way more... the soulbound cards count as $0.00 at the moment, but obviously their prices will jump when they're unlocked and can be sold.
I don't really know why I got so high and why my Win/Loss Ratio was so good... I basically started winning from the very first day of the season (super unusual) and just kept it up. I also made a ton of progress on the last day which obviously helps a bunch.
It was an extremely satisfying season... which is why it's so surprising this current season has been so hard and I've lost so many games.

I got 2 Legendary cards in the EoS chests, so good, and another 3 in the daily loot chests. 326 cards overall which is obviously significantly better than 210 in Season 40. Definitely seems to be peaks and troughs between the seasons for me. No consistency at all... so hopefully the Ranked Battle Overhaul helps me be a little consistent... even if that takes a couple of seasons to balance out.
You can see below the ranges between 70 EoS loot chests and 20 EoS loot chests... that's a huge range.

I was so confused to why my SPS Report was so much smaller last season than other previous seasons... (5738 compared to 15734, for example) and I think I've worked out that (with Kiokizz's help) that it's best to claim all the SPS just before the season ends... which is not something I've been doing. The Splinterlands team provides the APIs, but it's not always clear what is counted in regards to claimed and unclaimed SPS.
So from now on I'll try to claim after I've finished my last game for the season.

I would !LUV it if they released the soul bound cards onto the market, I really need to swap some of my extras out and increase the level of the summoners I use the most. My stats were a bit of last season as we were away in Japan but there are no excuses for me now.
