Now that the Ranked Battle Rework and now the Ranked Reward Overhaul has been completed, Splinterlands feels like quite a different game... and I'm pretty happy about these changes.

This End of Season Report is for Season 44, which ended on the 2nd of April... so it ended just before the Ranked Reward Overhaul went live.

We're also about 5 days away from the Splinterlands Halving event... and I love the look of the cards... and I love the Halving ability... but the cards are pretty expensive. I don't quite half enough DEC available to max out both cards (even with vouchers) so I may have to just pick one...

Of the two, I'd definitely choose the legenday card, I love me an Ambush ability, especially since it's the only magic Ambush ability available so far. Although a 4 ranged with guaranteed hit and halving, that's going to be hard to pass up.

I haven't quite worked out the right strategy for spending Glint yet... I've only purchased one Master Draw and got 2 Dumacke Orc cards, which, ah, felt like I overpaid. I haven't bought anything since. I'm going to have to buy something before the season ends and they all restock though.

Anyway, exciting times.

Here are my rewards for Season 44 and possibly the last time I write that type of sentence...

Huge improvement on last season... I think I basically had to wait a season to wash out all the accounts that are just heaps better than me, look at those Win/Loss Ratios... I've never seen them even close to being that high.

My Win/Loss Ratio in Wild last season was 0.93 (108/116)... which is about normal for me. The Win/Loss Ratio for Modern this season is honestly unbelievable. I can tell you those ratios and falling right back to Earth in this current season.

Very happy to make it into both Champs III and Diamond III. My goal to get Modern to around the same place as Wild is very slow but I'm trending in the right direction.

Not quite as good as the amazing previous season with 379 cards, but I got 41 champion chests for this season and 320 cards overall. Not too shabby at all.

Will I get 300+ cards in the new Glint system? It's looking extremely doubtful at this point. I'll miss you Champion Chests!

I assume my SPS earnings for Ranked Battle will be higher, but I imagine my daily passive earnings will be about the same.

I'm definitely finding I've been playing less without the motivation to try and get 5 daily chests before 5pm - so now I'm trying to motivate myself to never hit a full energy bar... and I have not been so successful with that.
