# I've got a max set of Escalation cards. - Splinter Stats Ranked Rewards Season 89 Report Card

So I pulled the trigger and swapped 466,900 SPS for Escalation Standard 1334 packs.
I was extremely lucky and managed to score myself 1 Common Black Arcane, 1 Common Black Foil, 1 Common Gold Arcane and 2 Rare Gold Arcane cards. I didn't have a Black Arcane card before, so that is truly exciting. I'm keeping these cards because they're fun... and to help with the conflicts.
The value of my Escalation set is under $2K:
When I wrote my last report card the value of 466,900 SPS was $3739.40 USD, when I actually purchased on the 15th of Feb 2025 it was $2,782.72 USD, so the value of the cards that I got haven't dropped too much.
There was originally 500,000 packs and so currently there are:
There's also a massive push to sell the remaining Conclave Arcana packs:
I obviously much prefer this process (making it extremely visible and enticing players with prize FOMO) than the 2 sales that they did for Chaos Legion. That really flooded the entire market with way too many cards and packs... and caused a ton of distrust in pack investors, so I'm glad the team has learnt from past mistakes.
I also kept 44K SPS spare just so I could buy any missing cards I needed, which I swapped for 453,518 DEC. I put all my Gold Foil variants on the market, and have sold a bunch, so I've currently got about 300K DEC sitting around which I don't really have a plan for.
I might see where I'm up to in the Escalation Conflicts leaderboard and might buy something to bump myself up... or I might need my extra DEC for Wagon Repair Kit resources, or I might convert it back to SPS.
The Escalation cards seem fun so far, I'm loving seeing the Kindred Spirit abilities back to try and create some fun pairings.
The next CA Conflict ends in 3 days and I'm likely to get 8 copies... and I'm pretty close to being able to repair 8 wagons:
I did manage to sell 4 Unbinding Scroll (CA) (Legendary) which really helped me close the gap in getting the resources I need... the prices seem to have stabilized... I've just crafted another 4 and put them on the market, so hopefully they sell when people get their new Glint rewards.
In hindsight I probably could have sold, or used, a ton of Midnight Potions. I completely forgot about them for Escalation. I had about 400 Midnight Potions and essentially used them all up in opening my first 200, but I'm sure there would have been good demand leading up to the General Sale and Pack Opening.
Oh, it wasn't a motivation for me at all, but I did manage to score myself max versions of the promo cards:
I did get some Gold Foils of Doldrus but I put them up for sale. I ended in position 33 on the leaderboard... it'll be interesting to see if I get 33rd, or much lower on the Escalation Conflicts leaderboard.

I think when I went to bed with 2 hours to go I was 9th on the Leaderboard, but slipped to 12th... which is fine and to be expected honestly.

Glint season rewards will show in the season they are claimed.
Last season I finished with 406,826 Glint left, and this season I finished with 1,139,021 Glint, which means I earnt 732,195 this season, which is awesome. I earnt 587,370 last season, so this is a huge improvement.
This season they've enabled players to turn off SPS for wins for double Glint :
I really do want Glint and so I should flick the switch, but in Modern I was getting 20+ SPS per win because so many people had turned it off...
That's hard to ignore, especially since I'll be concentrating on Modern next.
In Wild, despite being in Champs III instead of Diamond II, I'm getting about 5 SPS so probs worth turning it off there:

No gold foil cards. Here is my collection:
Upgraded two cards to Level 5 (of 6), so I've now got four cards at Level 5 and three at Level 4.
I'm left with 207,835 Glint so I spent 1,075,000 which I now realize was foolish since this season ends in 6 hours and I'm not going much to spend next season. Whoops!

It's always exciting to open cards and play a new set, and I've been really happy with my luck. I'm so curious to see where SPS goes from here, I imagine most players purchased Escalation with their SPS.
I don't personally think Escalation will sell out, but it definitely had a good amount of purchases.
