# Just snuck into Champ III with minutes to go....! - Splinter Stats Season 64 Report Card

Hi everyone!

I actually tried to create a season report card a couple of hours after the last Splinterlands season finished, but the generator didn't seem to be working at the time. Not sure if there was something wrong, or it was user error and I was being impatient, but I'm very glad I tried again.

Also... all the Splinterlands artwork has truly been absolutely leveled up the past couple of months. The art team is doing such an incredible job!

I literally squeezed into the Champ III league with minutes to spare... and then I immediately stopped playing.

I honestly probably wouldn't have made it at all except that I happened to play Aggroed, and miraculously win who gave me +70 rank points exactly when I needed it the most. What a Tender Shepard he is.

I really spent a lot of my time in the Gold leagues... in the first day or two I tried to capitalize on the higher than usual free flowing DEC rewards for wins... and got punished severely for it.

I think it took me 10-12 days to get out of Gold... you can see my win/loss ratio was almost exactly even.
Compare that to my win/loss of my first ever Season Report card a year ago where 101 wins to 85 losses got me to Champion II with a rating of 4214.

I'm still very much struggling with Kitty, Yodin or Mimosa summoners. They are just so super powerful.
My original plan was to use the time that everyone is hyped about Chaos Legion (ie, now) to pick up cheaper Beta and Untamed cards to fill in the wholes in my deck. Unfortunately these cards haven't fallen in price as much as I'd like, and I'm still trying to optimize for the SPS airdrop.

My new plan is to see what summoners come out of the Chaos Legion airdrops and try and create new builds for them... hopefully with much cheaper Chaos Legion cards.

I still might need to get Kitty and Yodin at some point, but I think I'll be able to make much more informed decisions once we see what the new Summoners will be.

I essentially feel like I'm sacrificing short term glory for having a good collection in 6 months or so. We'll see how that works out for me.

The standard foil cards was pretty normal. Happy to see a legendary in there... but to get 3 Gold Foil cards in a season is pretty amazing. I think I normally score 1 or 2 so 3 feels really exciting!

I still can't get over how well Reward cards hold their value. It's honestly incredible when you think about it.

Captured DEC for Ranked Rewards and Total Ranked Play Earnings has been on a steady downwards slide for me for months... which makes sense, it's getting harder and harder for almost everyone I think.

Rentals are down from previous months which makes sense too I think. Beta cards aren't worth as much as they used to be (or will be again when Land is implemented) and I'm sure people are renting way more Chaos Legion cards than Beta and Untamed... especially given that everyone's standard playing starter pack is all CL cards.

That's all fine obviously. I don't have any CL cards yet (apart from Dr Blight who has been just amazing) but I'm sure I'll buy them when their cost drops down to around their burn value (or the SPS airdrop ends and I don't need to keep DEC anymore).

My airdrop value is higher than my last report and I'd say that's purely because of the CL packs I bought but haven't opened yet. I want all those SPS airdrop points y'know. I'm sure I'm not in the majority there...

All in all, Splinterlands continues to thrill me. I never would have guessed a year ago what an impact it would have on my life and how bright my future feels because of it. It's truly very exciting.
