# Champion II - first time in a very long time! - Splinter Stats Ranked Rewards Season 4 Report Card

@aussieninja

Hi everyone!

Last season was probably the most successful season I've had in the last year for sure.
I'm interested in figuring out if the rewards after a successful season are similar to the rewards of other successful seasons before Ranked Rewards and Modern/Wild formats were released.

I'm going to compare my rewards with this season, with Season 41 which I believe was the last time I got myself into Champs II.... 20 months ago!

Match Report

Performance

Stat#Wild#Modern
RankChampion #303Diamond #718
Rating4211 - Champion II2894 - Diamond III
Rating High42262894
Ratio (Win/Loss)1.17 (160/137)0.75 (3/4)
Longest Streak112

Really happy with my Rating! I didn't play a crazy amount of games, but I was a bit more careful with the times that I chose to play. I'm not sure why, but I've been waking up (and then being very awake) at around 5:30am every morning. It's so weird... but I'm getting up and I'm not really awake enough to do any real work, so I've just been playing Splinterlands... and finding I have a little more success at that time.

Really happy with the 1.17 Win/Loss Ratio. I honestly might never get a ratio that high again. I think this is the first time I've gotten an 11 win streak.

By comparison, my results in Season 41 were:

           Champion Rank 181

           Rating 4214 - Champion II

           Rating High 4214

           Ranked Ratio (Win/Loss+Draw) 1.19 (101/85/2)

           Longest Streak 8

Obviously a lot more players now, and it's a lot more crowded in the top tiers considering my super similar score, but rankings of 181 vs 303. It took way less games to get to Champs II (for me) back then.

You can see that my Modern performance is almost non-existent. I just don't currently have the Chaos Legion cards to be competitive in either Modern or in Tournaments. The SPS airdrop has ended, but I'm still waiting for CL to sell out so that everyone opens their remaining packs... and dumps their spares on the market - all ready for me to purchase at (hopefully) low low prices.

Although, I've now chucked all my spare DEC into the liquidity pools... so I might not actually have anything to purchase with if those low prices ever hit. I didn't realise until now... but I love these liquidity pools SO MUCH!

So in Season 41, I won:

23752 DEC in Total Ranked Play Earnings

        4 Untamed Packs

        99 Standard Cards

        4 Gold Foil Cards

5266 Captured DEC for Ranked wins

        1 Standard Legendary.

So.... with this comparison we can see that the amount of DEC I've won in Play Earnings is super similar. The card packs won is super similar. The legendary card is exactly the same.

The big changes:

The cards won has been halved.

I won 3 times more legendary potions now - 45 vs 159.

I won 7 times more alchemy potions now - 47 vs 332.

Captured DEC (Ranked Rewards) is half now - 5266 vs 2542.

Interesting how the game evolves over time... I think you can assume that the rewards are worse now than they were... but that's also okay. Things have to change and evolve as the game grows. I definitely prefer the ranked rewards instead of the all or nothing aspect of the daily quests. I got 55 End of Season chests instead of the 120 I would have got in Season 41... The potions are obviously going to be handy when I do eventually open my CL packs, so I'm saving a bunch of DEC there.

Rentals went up (21K last season) and I'd say that was entirely due to being amazingly lucky enough to be able to rent out a maxed out normal Grandmaster Rathe and a single gold foil Grandmaster Rathe. I expect this to generally drop back to the low 21s next season.

⭐ SPS Report

Type⭐ Amount Claimed
Airdrop24665.885
Staking Rewards7281.770
NET SPS31947.655
+ Voucher Drops1229.198 🎟️

Hmm, I'm not sure what's going on here... my SPS staking rewards were 4879.282 last season, 5485.913 in Season 76 and 5446.791 in Season 75. That's a fair bump. Very interested to see the staking rewards of next season now that the airdrop has finished. The current APR of SPS/Vouchers is 29.89% APR. I'm honestly not sure what this bump is about... but I honestly hope it wasn't just a blip and continues. I wonder if a bunch of SPS was pulled out for the LPs or to buy nodes.

Interesting to compare to a year and a half ago... and I wouldn't have been able to do it without these report cards. Thanks Kiokizz (50% rewards of this post to you). It's been interesting watching SPS rise in price this last week, although I imagine that'll slow down once SPS replaces DEC in game winning rewards.

We share the same strategy in CL packs... and I'm actually achieving in resisting opening everything now! 😁 Congrats on Champ II, I still haven't made it. Cheers! !BEER

Good work! I HAVE to open Gladius cases as soon as I can buy one, but I've been so good in resisting opening my CL packs. It is going to be an exciting day when I decide to either open or sell them...

Thanks! I feel like I just had a really good run to get to Champ II... I actually couldn't believe it.

I am slowly getting the hang of splinterlands and am building nicely. Do u know much about the dark crystal capture rate. I get if I play and win too much and drop below 80% l get less dec rewards but does it also reduce focus and season chest rewards points rewards. I seem to be getting decent chests points even if I drop below 80% captured rate. For me the chest and possiable cards seem the fastest way to progress

This is a great question.

So just to clarify, your Dark Crystal Capture Rate isn't affected by how often you win, it's just how often you play.

As far as I understand, the Energy Capture Rate doesn't affect the reward bonuses. So your DEC will go down the more you play, but I believe the Focus Points and Season Points would stay the same (although there are a ton of variables as you can see below):

I wouldn't stress too much about it too much to be honest, I still see plenty of my opponents operating at ECRs of 15%...

Sometimes the DEC I get from games are worth more than the reward cards that I'm winning... but honestly winning cards in the chest loot boxes is way more exciting!

Cheers that helps my thinking that it's worth pushing for as many chest rewards as possible instead of mucking around on other games waiting for my capture rate to get above 80%
