# Welcome to strugglesplinter! - Splinter Stats Ranked Rewards Season 12 Report Card
@aussieninja

I'm developing a new splinter... it's called Struggle and it's pretty hard to play with.
Basically everything about it is hard, and you have to put a lot of time and effort in... and you may not get very far, but if you keep with it and really push, you still might not get very far.
It might not be the most fun splinter in the game, but it's super realistic.
Match Report
Performance
| Stat | #wild |
|---|---|
| Diamond Rank | 259 |
| Rating | 3297 - Diamond II |
| Rating High | 3297 |
| Ratio (Win/Loss) | 1.25 (89/71) |
| Longest Streak | 9 |
My performance in the rankings is definitely degrading as time goes on... and that's honestly a pretty good thing. I haven't been updating my cards with winnings (I've been staking all SPS as a super long, long term strategy) and I haven't been learning new strategies or builds with my current collection.
The only real new cards I've been using are the Chaos Legion airdropped cards (I still haven't opened any CL packs) which definitely have updated my strategies quite a bit (and added a lot more chaos and unpredictability to the game) but I'm sure I'm updating at a much slower pace than other players using lots of CL and RW cards.
Essentially it's good that someone who isn't really changing is slowly sliding backwards down the ladder.
That said... let's look how I went compared to previous seasons...

Last season my rating was 3560 - Diamond I and I was ranked 70 in Diamond leagues.
Obviously 259 and in Diamond II is way way worse.
That said, playing 243 games versus 160 this season is clearly going to have very different results. I'll really need to worry when I'm playing the same number of games and doing a lot worse.
My total ranked play rewards for 134 ranked wins were:
🟣 16815 DEC
🟡 36980 CREDITS
⭐ 905.912 SPS
The DEC difference is between 49 cards versus 35 won cards.... and the Gold Foil legendary I won last season which accounted for 12500 DEC won... so, um, yeah. It makes a lot more sense if you subtract that from the conversation.
Significantly less SPS and that is entirely from time spent not in Diamond I. I've noticed a huge difference in earnings between the leagues, with the higher leagues earning a lot more. This obviously drives the incentives to get better cards and better strategies and climb the ladder, but it does also make a pretty strong rich getting richer type situation.
I'm not sure what the solution is for that, or even if it's a problem to be resolved. Lots of games train us that newer players have a much tougher time winning than more experienced/richer players.

🟣 Rental Report
| Type | DEC |
|---|---|
| Revenue | 18057.686 |
| Expenses (inc. fees) | (701.531) |
| Cancellation Refunds | 0.000 |
| NET | 17356.155 |
My rentals were down quite a bit from 22K DEC a month ago... I imagine it's because the cards I'm renting out a little less popular than the newer CL and RW cards. I'm also keeping my RW card packs until after they are sold out (might be a while 70% is still available) and then I'll sell and use the income to buy the RW cards I need for my collection.
I'm still not sure if this is even a good strategy. CL packs have dropped pretty significantly in price on the secondary market (especially with the end of year sale going on) so there is no guarantee RW packs will be worth more later than they are now... and I'm missing out on wins and rental from them... so, um, yeah. Not sure.

⭐ SPS Report
| Type | ⭐ Amount Claimed |
|---|---|
| Staking Rewards | 6887.387 |
| NET SPS | 12059.548 |
| + Voucher Drops | 558.638 🎟️ |
A month ago I was getting:
Staking Rewards 7097.124
NET SPS 9013.050
Voucher Drops 575.652 🎟️
I guess the improvement is from the Liquidity Pools I'm in. I haven't been adding to the liquidity pools since I stopped earning DEC, and am just staking all SPS now... so it's nice to see the NET SPS improve over time. I'm hoping the difference in Vouchers is purely the difference in the length of seasons...

To be honest I feel a bit stuck with the CL packs I'm sitting on... the end of year sale is probably great for the Splinterlands company but probably isn't great for me. The burning mechanism probably is good for me... but not if it speeds up the release of Rebellion which may magic away any demand for second hand CL packs.
I'm also not sure what strategy I'll use for Rebellion card pack edition... I may need a whole specific post on that to figure out the best ways forward for me...

As new cards come out, the meta has changed and it is becoming more and more difficult to reach the top like before, you have to have studied the game very well to stay relevant
Thanks... but unfortunately studying isn't quite as valuable as having the best cards for each situation.
Yeah but for that we have rent, if you know what card to rent it makes it more efficient
Common I am imagining how much your cards will worth all together 🙂
