What do you think the magic items that land will produce be?

Obviously Land 1.5 (and 2 and 3) are on everyone's mind as we're all preparing to survey our lands.

I've been grabbing DEC and adding it to the batteries for the starter packs.  I don't have enough DEC for the power sources (or power source fuel) yet, but I think I've got a little while before I need those.

I'm still very much trying to figure out which cards I'll use as workers and which cards I'll play with...  but I'm super curious about what people think will be the end product of land?

It'll be magic items and spells that you can play during the actual game... but how will that work for a game that's essentially already determined before you watch it... and will the magic items be so essential that you can't win without them?  Or will they not really make too much of a difference?  What do you think?

I still haven't dug into the Land Whitepaper but will in the upcoming days. I have a handful of plots and am undecided on what to do with them. For now I'll just watch the markets.

Yeah, I don't have many myself... but even with the few that I do have I'll need a ton of DEC and a bunch of cards to work the land... this obviously impacts on what cards I have available to play. It's just weird making decisions without knowing what the end result will be... will the final magic items/spells be essential, or not worth it? No one knows.

The ride to the land will be pretty wild and I'm sure it will Splinterland to all new levels. I wish you best of luck for your investment in splinterlands batteries @aussieninja

Thank you so much! Lots of people, myself included, are really excited to play the Land game to see what we can produce to ultimately help our card decks... so that we win more Splinterlands battles.

Winning the game is not just about having good cards and magic items, but using them at the right time is most important i think. Splinterlands is a very good game and I have heard it talked about everywhere. Hope you will grab more DEC and add to the batteries for the starter packs.

Totally agree.

The thing with Splinterlands is that the battles happen on a blockchain transaction once both players submit their teams. When you're watching a battle, it's already happened. It's already recorded on the blockchain and cannot be changed.

So, if you add magic items and spells when you submit your teams, that makes sense to the current way the game works... but if timing is key, then they'll have to change how the game works on the blockchain... which is doable I'm sure, but requires huge changes.

As much impact as Sprinter Land has been waiting for a long time for Land to play and now it is about to arrive, we will all play and see what kind of express we get. And we will see how much more interesting things have come into it and how we can use the cards in this way. and the way we're seeing the market start to go up as well, we're going to see those who have sanded everything from sprinter land to be at a good profit.

My guess is that they will add another phase of combat, where you see the teams and then can use spells/items. Probably be a little bit yet before that comes out, but it seems like they're finally going to at least shift the SPS rewards into actually needing to put monsters on land to do "mining" at least :)

Yeah, honestly I can't believe we've been getting SPS Land Rewards for so long anyway, but I am curious about the mining for SPS... will it be substantial enough to commit the required DEC to... instead of just buying and staking SPS instead? I'm honestly glad I'm not the one who has to work it all out.

The additional phase does make sense to me from a blockchain transaction point of view. I always imagined you'd be watching the game unfold and decide to play an item/spell but that doesn't make sense on a blockchain, but an additional phase totally does.

We're going to have to get really good at predicting battles on seeing a lineup...
