Splinterlands Art Contest - "Boatman encounters Sea Monster"

Welcome to this art post. For this Art Contest I decided to try digital art, after being inspired by the work of some users, so I downloaded Krita and Blender, which are free and open source art software.

Bienvenido a esta publicación de arte. Para este Concurso de Arte decidí probar el arte digital, después de inspirarme en el trabajo de algunos usuarios, así que descargué Krita y Blender, que son software de arte gratuito y de código abierto.

For this contest I drew a Boatman facing the Sea Monster. So first, some sketches.

Para este concurso dibujé a un Boatman (Barquero)frente al Sea Monster (Monstruo Marino). Así que primero, algunos bocetos.

After that I used Krita to make the sketches digital, with a mouse, since I don’t have a graphic tablet yet.

Después de eso usé Krita para hacer los bocetos digitales, con un mouse, ya que todavía no tengo una tableta gráfica.

Then I proceeded to painting (with the paint bucket, 😁). It looked like a drawing made in Paint at first, but then I started playing with the textures brushes and I managed to draw a decent looking sea.

Luego procedí a pintar (con el balde de pintura, 😁). Al principio parecía un dibujo hecho en Paint, pero luego comencé a jugar con los pinceles de texturas y logré dibujar un mar decente.

I was ready to submit it like this, but the last Art Contest wasn’t over yet, so I kept playing with different tools and I’m glad I did, because the final result looks a little bit more serious, on my opinion.

Estaba listo para enviarlo así, pero el último Concurso de Arte aún no había terminado, así que seguí jugando con diferentes herramientas y me alegro de haberlo hecho, porque el resultado final parece un poco más serio, en mi opinión.
