Spl-Stats: SPS DAO Proposal for Official Market Status

Introduction
Hello everyone,
For the past years I've been building tools for the Splinterlands community.
While many players may know some of the individual tools I've built over the years, today they are mainly grouped into two platforms:
- https://spl-stats.com focuses on statistics, earnings tracking, reports, and player analytics.
- https://land.spl-stats.com focuses entirely on Splinterlands Land and the tools needed to manage it efficiently.

Although both platforms are maintained by me, they serve different purposes within the Splinterlands ecosystem.
This proposal specifically concerns the Land Manager platform available on land.spl-stats.com.
Over the last year, the platform has continued to grow as new land mechanics have been introduced and as I learned more from discussions with landowners throughout the community. One thing that quickly became clear is that every player approaches land differently. Some focus on maximizing production, others chase research, some specialize in specific resources, and some simply want their land to run efficiently without spending hours clicking through plots every week.
As land operations grow, managing workers, resources, DEC staking requirements, harvesting, and production becomes increasingly time consuming.
That is why I built the Land Manager.
The goal is simple: reduce repetitive management tasks and allow players to focus on strategy rather than administration.
The Land Manager
The Land Manager was built to simplify the day to day challenges of operating land by providing tools for workforce management, production planning, resource handling, DEC staking, harvesting, and land optimization across multiple plots.
Current functionality includes:
- Multi plot harvesting
- Resource management and distribution
- DEC staking automation
- Worker placement assistance
- Automated worker rentals
<--the market feature - Dry run previews before actions are executed

The objective is not to automate gameplay decisions.
The objective is to eliminate repetitive tasks and reduce the operational overhead that comes with managing larger land holdings.
Throughout development I have regularly discussed land strategies with members of the community and one thing that continues to amaze me is how differently people approach land. Those conversations have heavily influenced the direction of the platform and continue to drive new features and improvements.
The Rental Workers Feature
One recurring challenge became obvious while building the Land Manager.
Many landowners simply do not have enough workers available to fully staff all of their plots. As land operations grow, manually finding, renting, and assigning workers becomes increasingly time consuming.
Fortunately, Splinterlands already provides a powerful rental market. The challenge is not the availability of rentals, but efficiently finding the right workers for the right plots.
The Rental Workets feature was built to solve exactly that problem.

Based on the player's configuration and preferences, the Land Manager analyzes available rental cards and identifies the most suitable workers for specific plots. Once suitable workers are found, the system can rent those cards through the existing Splinterlands rental market and immediately assign them to work on the selected plots.
With goal to reduce the amount of manual searching, comparing, renting, and assigning required to keep land operations running efficiently.
Rather than manually browsing rental listings and staffing plots one by one, players can define their requirements and allow the system to handle much of the process automatically.
This creates benefits for multiple groups within the ecosystem:
- For landowners, it reduces the effort required to maintain productive land operations.
- For card owners, it creates additional opportunities for cards to generate value while not actively being used elsewhere.
- For the ecosystem, it increases utilization of existing cards and helps keep more land plots productive.
The feature does not replace the existing Splinterlands rental market. Instead, it acts as a specialized layer on top of it, helping connect landowners with suitable workers in a more efficient way.
Why Official Market Status
Obtaining official market status would allow the platform to participate in the approved market fee sharing model.
Like many community projects, the Land Manager requires ongoing server infrastructure, maintenance, development time, and operational costs to keep running and improving. While I enjoy building tools for the community, there are real expenses involved in maintaining a platform.
By voting in favor of this proposal, the community would help reduce those operating costs and provide additional motivation to continue investing time and resources into developing and maintaining the platform.
The rental system itself remains just one part of a broader platform dedicated to simplifying land management and reducing the operational burden of running land at scale.
Looking Forward
Over the last year, the platform has steadily grown through community feedback, feature requests, bug reports, and countless conversations with landowners.
The project is currently a one man operation, and while I can't promise every request will become a feature or every issue will be fixed overnight, I do my best to respond to feedback, investigate bugs, answer questions, and continue improving the platform whenever time allows.
My goal remains simple: build practical tools that make managing land a little easier and a little less time consuming.
One thing I strongly believe in is building in the open. The Land Manager platform is completely open source, allowing anyone to review the code, report bugs, suggest improvements, or contribute ideas:

To make it easier for users to get support and share feedback, I have also recently launched a dedicated community Discord server. Whether you have questions, feature suggestions, bug reports, or simply want to discuss land strategies, everyone is welcome to join:

As land continues to evolve, I'll keep listening, learning, and building. There are plenty of ideas still on the drawing board, and many improvements still to come.
Thank you to everyone who has tested features, reported issues, shared suggestions, and supported the project along the way. Your feedback has shaped many of the tools that exist today.
I appreciate your consideration of this proposal and your support for community built tools within the Splinterlands ecosystem.

Thanks for sharing! - @azircon

So what you are asking for is that you are eligable for market fees for your rental market ?
You are absolutely right, just like the other proposals for third-party markets.
To be honest, the proposal could probably have been summed up in three sentences. I just wanted to provide a bit more context about what the tool does and how the rental market fits into it, since that's only a small part of the site.
Thanks for your comment 😎
Support 1000% ...Thanks for all the work you've done thusfar!
Thanks, @nopeace4u! Really appreciate that. And likewise, I'm grateful to have you as part of our community and for all the contributions you make.
I haven't managed to catch many of your streams yet, mostly because of the time zone difference. But I definitely appreciate everything you do. Keep it up!

Thanks for the support as always 🤣
Muy buen post! Me gustó el contenido que compartiste. Pasé a dejar un voto y decirte que sigas asi!
Thanks for the support! I had to translate your message to read it, but I really appreciate it. I hope you enjoy the new features as well!
¡Gracias por el apoyo! Tuve que traducir tu mensaje para poder leerlo, pero realmente lo aprecio. ¡Espero que también disfrutes de las nuevas funcionalidades!
You have my vote! You are one of the most selfless supporters of the project we've ever had Beaker!
Thanks, Dave! I really appreciate the support. Especially when talking to some of the team members, you can truly feel their passion and drive for the project. Keep it up!
I hope that by contributing, I can help the community continue to grow. That would not only benefit the community as a whole but also myself. It's a win-win, and I'm happy to be a small part of it.
Yes, this is fantastic. Should definitely support.
Thanks for the support @discovery17
I upvoted the draft proposal. Your tools are definitely worth supporting.
Great mate i have seen some you have been using the blog part of spl-stat great to see 🙏
Brilliant. Love what you do, mate.
Thanks @mattclarke 🙏
Voted with every account 😅
When it passes let me know and il jump onto using yours fro rentals 💪
Thanks for your support, YLAG!
If you come across any use cases that you think could be improved, please let me know. I'm always happy to take a look. The goal is to create something that benefits larger landholders, but also smaller players with just a few plots.
And yes, I still consider myself a small player too, even though I've somehow collected over 60 plots over the years! 😆
Feedback and ideas are always welcome, as they help make the tool better for everyone.
I'll have a dig around when I can
