Splinterlands - Latest release notes enhance Rebellion and more

In Splinterlands, the amazing play2earn game on the Hive blockchain, the agile development delivers incremental weekly upgrades which are transparently documented in the published Release Notes. The Rebellion edition set pre-sale is upon us and the entire ecosystem is energized by that, considering that these days we've tested also a bit of a bullish run with Bitcoin rising from bellow $30,000 and touching $35,000. That created a wave of price improvements all over the crypto market, but what's more important in my opinion is that it brought a wave of optimism that we were lacking lately. But getting back to the latest release notes in Splinterlands, let's try to review the change brought into the game on 24th of October 2023.

Rebellion Leaderboard

There is a small update to the Rebellion Leaderboard by adding a second degree of sorting based on the date of purchase, if the number of packs purchased is tied. This brings more flexibility when viewing data on the Leaderboard of the Rebellion edition set.

DEC Total Supply

It was added back the DEC Total Supply display, and now the data is pulled from Splinterlands own information rather than the Hive engine numbers. The DEC numbers will now recalculate every 5 minutes as well. This is believe should better reflect the supply, which is an important element of the tokenomics. Knowledge is power!

DEC Circulating Supply

The DEC funds held in the DAO wallet are no longer considered part of the circulating supply. This should distinguish the DEC amount from the market with the one locked in the DAO. On the other hand as DAO might increase usage in the near future, we should have also a better view on how the DAO funds are used.

These are all the updates enhancing Rebellion pre-sale and also better reflecting the DEC Total and Circulating Supply. Some nice touches that bring more usability in the game and offers more transparence of the DEC tokenomics. Development never stops and we can see that through these Release Notes, which I like to review whenever I read them and present them to the community as well.

Rebellion moves slowly, but steady in numbers during the pre-sale and the mechanics put in place I believe is better thought than with Chaos Legion sale. While we are more in bearish waters than compares with CL sale during the bull run, I believe that the added burning daily mechanism of unsold packs on the General sale will ensure that we don't go with an unreasonable supply of Rebellion packs. This way the Splinterlands NFT market will not be oversaturated and will allow appreciation in value as we move forward. And as we will be doing that, if the bull run will truly hit the crypto market, than we should have things better balanced. Great changes and mechanics put in place, I feel more attention is given to that in order to have a healthier ecosystem. In the end, this is the way!
