Splinterlands - The perfect rules of combat

avatar

In Splinterlands, the Rules of Combat are what determine what monsters we can use in the battle, which monsters are better to be used in order to make the most of it and also any other additional monsters like Gladiators or different perks we can make use of in order to get the victory on our side. Whenever we start a battle we need to pay attention to this and scroll through the rules and try to understand them. Based on that we can move on and formulate the best strategy using the available NFT cards in our collection. And in time probably we all grew fond of specific rules of combat which are favoring our collections, while others are a sure loss in some cases. So with this post I am trying to share and also find out which is the perfect "Rules of Combat" that we can encounter on the battlefield.

Keep it simple

Without too much suspense, I will reveal which is the perfect "Rules of Combat" in my case, based on my collection and experience. And as some of you might have expected (or not) that's "Standard - No modification to the standard gameplay rules and mechanics". Why? Simply because my mind doesn't have to make complex math, but rather play from the memory the best fighting formula based on the Mana requirement for the game. I am sure that there might be other rules of combat that could be favorable to my collection, but the amount of combinations of different rules simply make it hard for me to pick a different one. And what I love more about this is the fact that I am getting a 99 Mana cost, which means I can use my most forceful monsters and spread chaos and panic on the battlefield.

Balancing

Rules of combat represent the first thing anyone should pay attention on before rushing on the battlefield in Splinterlands. Without reading and understanding them is like fighting blindly which implies very low chances of success. Only if you are matched with another blind fighter you might get something out of it, but I've witnesses games when Level 5 Summoner and Monsters would get their ass kicked by Level 1 Summoner and Monsters. And this has to do with first reading the rules of combat, understanding them and sending the best formation to make the most of them. I've had my stupid moves myself where I was relying on same formation over and over without strategizing anything and I lost without the right for an appeal.

Thus, to keep it simple and not put too much thinking into it the Standard rules fit me like a glove when I want to do my Daily Battles and reach few wins in order to get me some rewards. That after a long hard day at work when my mind wants something simple and play it automatically. For me playing Splinterlands relaxes me as long as I don't need to put too much focus, attention and strategy in it. When I am well relaxes without my brain being worked so much, I can take harder rules and conditions on the battlefields. But that rarely happens lately, thus I choose the easy way out :) What about you? What is your perfect "Rules of combat" or which combinations do you prefer?

Come and join the amazing world from the Splinterlands!
