Hello friends from the @splinterlands community, I come to share with you my entry to the contest number 268 with my version of KULU SWIMHUNTER, a water element card, the character caught my attention since I thought it was just an octopus but when detailed better In the original letter I realized that it is a humanoid octopus, so I really liked the idea of making something humanoid with the body and head of an octopus. I hope you like the result and below I will show you the steps I carried out in this drawing.

• Hola amigos de la comunidad de @splinterlands vengo a compartir con ustedes mi entrada al concurso numero 268 con mi versión de KULU SWIMHUNTER una carta de elemento agua, me llamo mucho la atención el personaje ya que pensé que era solo un pulpo pero al detallar mejor la carta original me di cuenta que es un humanoide pulpo, entonces me gusto mucho la idea de hacer algo humanoide con cuerpo y cabeza de pulpo, espero les guste el resultado y a continuación les mostrare los pasos que realice en este dibujo.

Process

STEP 1: Sketch and lineart, in the first layer I made the sketch of the drawing taking the letter as a reference, my idea was to make a humanoid with an octopus head in a pose, after this I applied the details of the textures to give a little volume, for the lineart use a number 8 black brush.

• PASO 1 : Boceto y lineart , en la primera capa hice el boceto del dibujo tomando como referencia la carta, mi idea fue hacer un humanoide con cabeza de pulpo en una pose , luego de esto aplique los detalles de las texturas para dar un poco de volumen , para el lineart use un pincel numero 8 color negro.

STEP 2: Shadow, on another layer I applied a shadow taking as far as the point of light that I decided was from the left side, I did this to then apply the color on another layer, I even thought about giving it a manga shading look but better I applied color to make it more similar to KULU SWIMHUNTER.

• PASO 2 : Sombra , en otra capa aplique una sombra tomando en cuanto el punto de luz que decidí que fuera desde el lado izquierdo , hice esto para luego aplicar en otra capa el color, incluso pensé en darle un aspecto de sombreado de manga pero mejor le aplique color para hacerlo mas parecido a KULU SWIMHUNTER.

On another layer apply the base color which is turquoise blue, and on the body a slightly darker blue, place the shadow layer below the color layer in multiply so as not to affect the effect of the other layer, then apply a little light to finish the character.

• En otra capa aplique el color base que es el color azul turquesa, y en el cuerpo un azul un poco mas oscuro, coloque la capa de sombra debajo de la de color en multiplicar para no afectar en efecto de la otra capa, luego aplique un poco de luz para dar por terminado el personaje.

I really liked the result of this drawing, I always try to find a style and little by little I am achieving it, I always try to improve and learn new things to give a better result in my drawings, I hope you like my work as much as I do, Thank you very much and we will see you in a next post.

• El resultado de este dibujo me gusto mucho, siempre trato de buscar un estilo y poco a poco lo voy consiguiendo, siempre trato de mejorar y aprender cosas nuevas para dar un mejor resultado en mis dibujos, espero te guste mi trabajo tanto como a mi, muchas gracias y nos leemos en un próximo post.
