Wow. Good for you.

On a just vaguely related topic: I bought a new Ryobi drill this week. I had completely cooked the old one (Black and Decker) so they weren't in consideration. I like DeWalt tools a lot, but the Ryobi was on sale with 2 batteries so...

The battery packs are a bit of an issue these days - as they are all made to be specialized to the brand, which makes sense - but ties you in with convenience. I don't have so many tools, so it doesn't matter much :)

I have a B&D string trimmer and blower (both of which work just fine) so my battery collection isn't unused. I still have working circular saw and reciprocating saw. If those need replacement I'll go Ryobi.

Makita is really common here with the tradies. They are decent from what I understand.

Makita is good stuff. I have a couple of corded tools, and in my working days worked on some bigger Makita equipment.

Milwaukee is the hot set up for the trades here. It's 2x DeWalt or Ryobi price, but it is really the 'cats ass' here. My guy here and my nephew in Washington both swear by Milwaukee. That's enough for me, but for the price difference I don't need the best. I am much more a hobbyist than a working man :)
