I am a noob in Splinterlands, but not for long.... muahahahaha
I am a noob. I just found out about Splinterlands, and I have no idea what the heck I am doing. Am I letting that stop me though? Absolutely not. If crypto and gaming have taught me one thing, it's don't let the fireballs touch your butt, and the feather makes you fly. Let's do this.
Seriously though all joking aside I think Splinterlands has a bright future, and I am invested in a big way. This is how I started my journey.
When I first started Splinterlands I started slow. I wanted to really understand the game, and understand how to win at a fundamental level. This took time, especially with the starter deck. This was fine though, as I really enjoyed playing and I was able to secure a lot of wins. I could not progress out of bronze because of my card collection power. It was time to buy cards.
I definitely was NOT going to use Paypal to buy cards. It was bad enough I bought 10 spell books like a true degenerate on other accounts so I could rank those up as well (I have a lot of time I want to devote to this). I want as many loot chests as I can get at the end of the seasons.
It's a good thing I am a Crypto Degen and I had plenty of coins on the Binance Smart Chain to swap for Dark Energy Crystals. So that's what I did, I went freaking hard. Really freaking hard. I got every shill coin I knew and I instantly swapped it for that sweet sweet DEC.
Well, that was easy. Perhaps too easy...Anyways, onwards now it was time to buy cards SPS drop? Sure, I'll take it! That's when it happened...
I met Yodin Zaku. Yodin Zaku if you don't know is a summoner card, that's going for around $700 USD on the market right now. I wasn't going to buy a single card for $700 hell I don't even think I know what a good card is...
Ok, rented. I rent it for 700 DEC/day. How much is that in USD? Who cares. It's not $700. lol.
I started moving and shaking, I am tossing so many axes my hands are tired, I am leveling up pretty steadily now and I am just looking to stack DEC, and SPS so I can increase my airdrops. If anyone has any tips for me that would be great. I do have other cards I rent as well, but I am looking for any input if anyone has it.
I got so much DEC now. I have started a guild named Crypto Degens. Come by our discord and check it out. If there is a slot available send us a request to the guild, and ill see if I can accept you.
(I plan on buying more slots soon...I only have 2 available now)
My biggest question to anyone that is willing to answer is should I buy Yodin Zaku? What would you do? That card is so good! May you be blessed with DEC in the future. Thanks, Splinterlands for making such an awesome game with such a bright future.

Wait for the chaos Legion packs to come out. I'm sure the $700 you would spend on Yodin will purchace alot better deck. I'm also sure there will be new summoners coming out that you can upgrade for alot less. Hope this helps.

Buying a $700 card is not a good option in my view. You can buy packs and maybe you get lucky for only $4. Does that makes sense?
I also believe if you buy $700 on packs you will surely hit some legendaries. Cheapest legendary is $21(in neutrals). I only buy neutrals or dragon
I wish I could buy packs now, do you know when they will show up for purchase?
