Midweek Special. We visit Ned in his Donkey Sanctuary in Nepal.

(Edited)

In this weeks report in our "Oldies are Goldies" series we went to track down some of the old Steemit massif, the Hive Chronicle has travelled all the way to the foothills of Mount Everest in Nepal to interview the man himself. The one the only, the notorious Mister Ned Scott. Still more hated than Justin Sun and even Vladimir Putin among the Steem and Hive communities, Ned has taken a step back from the cloak and dagger world of owning a cryptocurrency. A multi millionaire from his controversial sale of Steemit Inc to Justin Sun meant that Ned could do whatever he wanted to in life so he decided to retire to Nepal and set up a donkey sanctuary. Rumour had it the 20 witnesses hunted Scott down in a type of Munich style assassination mission but failed to kill him as he crossed their palms with silver. Other rumours suggested another assassin by the name of nitsuj Moon was after Scott for selling his boss in Tron a dud.

"Rumours of my demise have been greatly exaggerated," smirked Ned while rubbing a donkey by an old wooden gate.
"I was public enemy number 1 this time 4 years ago so I closed the laptop moved to Nepal and opened a donkey Sanctuary." "I live a more simple life now away from the crypto sphere."
"Believe it or not most people do not know who I am here!!"
"I was a bit surprised by this, seeing that Steem was one of the best known crypto platforms in 2017."
"Crypto is funny that way. As soon as you shut down the laptop, you come out of the crypto world and back to real life where nobody knows you. I would definitely do it all over again considering how rich I am."

"But the constant bitching and moaning among the witnesses and the same old people raping the reward pool made my dream a nightmare so I sold as soon you could say the word SMT and got out."
"Although one time I was at LAX and some smelly bearded luggage carrousel guy got in my face for selling the pre mined tokens to Justin and told me he was going to sue me!!" "I would have loved to been a fly on the wall during that conversation in his solicitors office."

"I know people were peeved off with me but it was mine to sell so I don't give a hoot what they think."
"So now I sit around and play guitar all day, have a few smokes and all I get is a couple of Hee Haw's in the distance."

When asked how many donkeys there were in his sanctuary , Ned was swift in his response.
"We have 20 donkeys, that's all we can accommodate here, 20 was always the golden number for me so I stuck with that. I had 20 witnesses in Steemit so I just went with 20 asses."
"Not much of a difference between them anyway AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH"

After Ned calmed down laughing at his own joke, we proceeded to ask about his donkeys.

"I know each and everyone of them and they all have their different personalities." "Some are friendlier than others." "There are a couple that are a pain in the arse though and I am thinking of replacing them with two other stray donkeys that are easier to get on with." "I'm good at that from previous employment."

"What are their names you ask?"
"Take that grey fella over there under the tree. That's Gandalf the Grey. Wirey old character."
"The white one over there is called Ronald. Nice donkey. Gets on with everyone"
"The one with the dark spots is Tim Cliff and the little stumpy one by the fence is Aggroed."
"The brown one over trying to hump the other one is Jesta"

"What's that little bollocks doing now??" muttered Ned out of character while looking at one of his donkeys in the lower field tucking into some carrots.
"This is the new bloody donkey I called Jin. Hungry bastard."

"HEYYYYY JIN, HAE JIN, GET AWAY FROM THOSE CARROTS. THEY ARE FOR EVERYONE, YUP YUP"

"There is always one donkey that eats more than the others but that one only thinks of himself." "The other donkeys don't really like him."

Ned looks like he is at peace down here with the animals and with himself. His flowing mane blends right in with that of his donkeys.

"I had time to really look after my hair down here and now I have the time to shampoo, lather and repeat twice a day."
"The trekkers coming from the states to climb Everest always make sure they bring me resupplies for the mop."
"It makes me closer to my tribe of donkeys as well."
"I serenade them at night with my melodic tunes I play on my guitar." "Did I tell you I play guitar??"

"Do you get lonely here?" our reporter asked.

"Well it is lonely sometimes and I go for my laptop and realise that there is no WIFI in this valley." "Adam comes to visit sometimes but that has got less and less."
"I heard there is this thing called NFT's that everyone is into now in crypto? "Are they like SMT's??"

"In a way yes" stated our reporter.

[Whimpering]

"Did Steem Monsters ever take off??"

We decided it was best that we didn't tell Ned the full extent of the Steem Monsters success and make for a hasty exit.
On the way out of the sanctuary Ned played us another song and wished us good bye. Sadness in his eyes.

Our reporter was bitten by a donkey named Drakos on the way out. Fiery old thing but overall it was an enjoyable visit. The only thing for us to do now is get as many upvotes to cover the cost of the flights to Nepal.

Next week we visit the people running the Splinterlands Scam bots in Burkino Faso.

You're hilarious and a good writer. Thanks for brightening up my day and giving me a good internal chuckle.

This was one of my favorite parts: 20 was always the golden number for me so I stuck with that. I had 20 witnesses in Steemit so I just went with 20 asses."
