While playing Splinterlands I come across all types of players with all types of strategies so I decided to categorise them the way I see them. Here is my list of the types of Splinterlands players. Feel free to add your own in the comments.

The Bully

This player tries to muscle his way through to a total knockout. They start off with a strong tank. Follows up with a smaller tank and has sneak attack cards backing them up. They care little for magic or range attacks. They have a +1 attack summoner. They have one goal, to box the head off anything that comes in their way. A little bit of guile and cunning can see off this player.

The Health Freak

This player is more concerned about healing themselves than landing a punch. They normally have a tank that can heal and then one or more minions with low health that heal the tank. If the tank falls then their whole deck is wiped out in the blink of an eye but it is very difficult to break them down. Their competitor's eyes roll up to heaven after the first round knowing that they are in for the long haul.

The Sniper.

This player flanks their rival from behind and takes out their flank until all that is left is the tank and they unleash hell then. Remember the jurassic park when the crew were in the field of firs and raptors started picking them off. This player has watched that film a hundred times.

The Sneaky Bastard/Bitch.

You are getting ready to rumble and you think you will beat your rival hands down. You smirk at how feebly weak they look and you laugh out loud on how easy this will be. They have cards you have never heard of. Next thing you know you are getting bent over the Splinterlands arena table and your rival is ripping you a new one. With this kind of rival, a valuable lesson is had and you end up mimicking some of their deck.The sneaky Bitch or bastard is one of the best players in Splinterlands.

The Maths Fiend.

This player has all the stats and maths figured out before he enters the arena. The player knows he has a 60% chance of winning and goes mad at the end when his rival dodges the final attack which turns the game. Winged monsters and speed are this players enemy.

The Magical Mick/ Mary

This player only picks magical characters as they can avoid enemy shields. Every attack is magic barring the tank. They go for the tank with swift attacks and once they are out of the way, its open season.

The Dickhead.

Source

This player has the cards with the annoying abilities such a those thorns or double strike. They tend to be smug with not have many friends and write boring Hive posts. They don't know how annoying they are to everyone else and they live in one bedroom apartments with only one item of cutlery. Most likely a parking attendant or a tax collector. Probably saving up for the summoner Mylor Crowling. A definite energy vampire. Feeds off a thorn knockout. Loves a quest.
