One of my favorite aspects of being involved in Splinterlands, is the tight community we have built up here. For over 5 years now, this project has conjured up a steady stream of diehards that are willing to travel great distances, devote their personal time & energy, and craft new friendships & relationships with other passionate players & investors. I know this project has personally introduced me to several folks with a common interest that I now consider to be good friends with, and I’m grateful for that perk.

I’m happy to say that this past week, a relationship was forged further along and strengthened over a simple dinner. My lovely wife, kiddos, and myself had the good fortune of taking a trip to Orlando, Florida at the end of February, and no trip to Mickey’s backyard would be complete without meeting up with one of my favorite @splinterlands visionaries…Nate the Great!

That’s right! The creative mastermind @nateaguila, his lovely wife @raynie, and one of their son’s took time out of their busy schedule to haul their asses over to Universal City Walk, to break bread with my family. Time is an extremely valuable commodity, so I was much appreciative to them to have taken up so much of theirs.

Now Nate & I were no strangers as we spent some time together in Vegas at Splinterfest, and working together hand in hand on a project a while back. But it was nice to have a more relaxed vibe to get to know each other a bit better.

We chowed on some tasty grub at the NBC Sports Grill, and gossiped like a bunch of Chatty Cathy’s regarding family, life, and of course, the best project in the space…Splinterlands! Let me tell ya, this man’s passion & energy regarding the future of this project is infectious & I’m over the moon that he’s helping to craft and build this world here with all of us. Super pumped for what’s to come!!!!

On a personal note, Nate & Raynie are absolute class acts. They went above and beyond to make our little visit with them extra special, and I’m very thankful to them for that. I look forward to getting together again and to hopefully working with him on implementing some of the fun & cool ideas I have rattling around in my dumb brain for Splinterlands.

Now off to pack up a sweet yet Uber nerdy "Thank You" care package for the Aguila clan.

Until next time…
