Here's my 22nd Splinterlands Guild Brawl Report for PIZZA 2 The Deep Dish.

I've joined the Pizza 2 Guild over at the PIZZA DISCORD and was introduced to the world of Guild Brawls in Splinterlands. It has been an interesting experience to say the least. 🎉🥳🎊
Guild Brawls are generally the same as Battles, but with some minor tweaks (of which I'll save for another day). Lets get right down to business as I analyze my brawls. 🧐⚔️🛡️

It's the ✨🏅✨Gold Foil Chaos Legion Fray no.12✨🏅✨ for the 5th week in a row for me.
Here's a recap of my rollercoaster rides in the God Foil frays so far

• week 1 was a horrible 0% win rate 😭
• week 2 was a decent 50% 🥳
• week 3 was back to 0% again 🤬
• week 4 was a perfect 100% (what?! 😱🤯 Ok, 2 out of 3 of my opponents fled 😉)
• what will the 5th week bring me❓❓❓

It seems like the the results of the Gold Frays that I take part in really fluctuate wildly. I attribute it to most players not having a full set of Gold cards (like myself). If RNG is in your favour and you're able to field the main bulk of your Gold cards, then you'll stand a good chance. Else you're at the mercy of your opponent (who is likely in the same situation as you too 🤣)

My choice of picking up the Gold Foil frays is to simply give the Guild a better chance at accumulating more wins, seeing especially that NONE of the Gold frays have been filled in the past few weeks (months?). Even if I were to lose everything and win just 1 match, it would definitely help in securing a better finishing position overall.

With that said, lets get down to a review of my battles, or in some cases where my opponent fled 🏃🏻💨 - non battles 😨.

LOST.

I was actually quite pleased when I saw this ruleset and mana limit. I thought I had a good chance of winning too. Currently, my Death Gold Foil deck seems to be the most fleshed out among all the other splinters.

However, the opponent also picked the Death splinter and my magic DPS instantly got halved. Throw in a Legionnaire Alvar into the mix and it was game over for me. I was simply unable to absorb as much damage as the opponent did.

Djiin Muirat might have been similar, but the opponent had more physical DPS-ers and managed to take out the key unit in my lineup, Scavo Hireling. With that gone, my strategy of continually renewing my shield was gone. 😭

WON.

Both me and my opponent basically fielded Water decks, with our summoners essentially being the same with the ruleset of no armour and only melee.

My choice to slot the Disintegrator into the deck is what won me the game. With similar units being fielded, the -1 damage from melee proved to be an overwhelming advantage that my opponent had no hope against.

I finished with a win-loss ratio of 3 wins and 1 loss. 😱🥳🥇 Not bad! 75% win rate.

Once again, this week's results were quite a surprise! 🤣

In actual fact, I only managed to fight 2 battles, where I lost one and won another.

2 wins were basically served on a platter to me. The opponent fled and I'll never know if I would have beaten them had they fielded their team 🤔😅.

This is one of the reasons I feel it's important that Guilds are able to fill out all the frays - even the significantly "harder" Gold ones. It is very likely that most guilds (at our level) skip the Gold frays completely, or are unable to even field a team if they've got no Gold Foil Summoners. This therefore leads to a better overall score.

PIZZA 2 Guild managed to finish in 2nd place! 🏆🏆🏆

This was a really great result! Not just that, we were agonizingly close to a 1st placed finish. Just 2 wins separated the number 1 slot from the 2nd. 😱

The guild brawls this time round seemed to be really competitive. The first 4 positions were all evenly spaced 2 wins apart. This makes our 2nd place finish even more satisfying. We put in a good fight and managed to finish on the podium! ⚔️🥳

Great Job from everyone who took part in the Guild Brawls! I'm proud of you all! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
