Here's my 27th Splinterlands Guild Brawl Report for PIZZA 2 The Deep Dish.

It's the ✨🏅✨Gold Foil Chaos Legion Fray no.12✨🏅✨ for the 10th week in a row for me.

Instead of listing out the results since week 1, I shall just tally up the total wins/losses from now on, as seen in the table below 😁. 📊📊📊

Seems like last week's losses has dragged down my win percentage slightly. I didn't expect such good win rates to last though. I know my Gold Foil deck is definitely quite bare as compared to any seriously invested player. I have, at best, managed to accumulate a set of Chaos Legion Gold Foil Commons with a few Rares and Epics. Should the opponent decide to show up with a really fleshed out deck, I'll be in deep trouble... "chuckles nervously" 😅

I feel like I'm winning because my opponent has even less Gold Foil cards available to him than I do. Personally, I find it slightly flattering to me. The teams I field are definitely not the absolute strongest, but more of what is available to me.

It also doesn't account for HOW I win some of the fights though. I've realised that a fair number of them are from opponents who just gave up and did not even face me in battle. ⚔️⚔️⚔️

With that said, lets get down to a review of my battles, or in some cases where my opponent fled 🏃🏻💨 - non battles 😨.

I've joined the Pizza 2 Guild over at the PIZZA DISCORD and was introduced to the world of Guild Brawls in Splinterlands. It has been an interesting experience to say the least. 🎉🥳🎊
Guild Brawls are generally the same as Battles, but with some minor tweaks (of which I'll save for another day). Lets get right down to business as I analyze my brawls. 🧐⚔️🛡️

My choice of picking up the Gold Foil frays is to simply give the Guild a better chance at accumulating more wins, seeing especially that NONE of the Gold frays have been filled in the past few weeks (months?). Even if I were to lose everything and win just 1 match, it would definitely help in securing a better finishing position overall.

LOST.

The opponent's Xenith Monk and Scavo Hireling simply did too good a job of healing up. My attacks were wasted on a futile attempt to deplete a constantly regenerating armour and health pool. No surprise that I lost quite badly here. Even a bloodlusted Bertrol Gobson was of no use.

LOST.

Like I've mentioned before, I'm in deep trouble if any opponent comes to the battle with Gold Foil Legendaries. I simply couldn't compete with the sheer power of that. Once again, a crushing defeat.

WON.

A really long drawn out battle. At the end of the day, I won because I had healing AND repair as compared to the opponent's healing only. The additional tanking afforded to me with an extra repair over the opponent allowed me to edge him out in battle.

LOST.

This was a really close fight. If I had lasted one more round, I'd have won by the slightest of margins instead. In the end, the opponent's strategy of going for quantity over quality won out.

LOST.

I lost by the slightest of margins again! 1 more round or a dodge somewhere would have resulted in a win for me instead. It went down to the last hit where the opponent survived that last bit. On hindsight, I should have placed my Mycelic Morphoid oin front of my Gobson. That should have won me the game. This shows how the finest of margins can be the difference between defeat and victory.

I finished with a win-loss ratio of 1 win and 4 losses. 😱🥳🥇

I can't say I'm too pleased with the results today, but neither am I too disappointed. 2 losses were by the finest of margins. Had I survived one round with a dodge in either of those games, I'd be the winner instead.

As for the 2 losses, I was simply overpowered by the quality of the opponent's deck.

Overall, today's battles really excited me! 🤣 No walkovers (unfortunately) but then again, there isn't much fun when all your opponents flee the battle too!

This is one of the reasons I feel it's important that Guilds are able to fill out all the frays - even the significantly "harder" Gold ones. It is very likely that most guilds (at our level) skip the Gold frays completely, or are unable to even field a team if they've got no Gold Foil Summoners. This therefore leads to a better overall score.

PIZZA 2 Guild managed to finish in 4th place! 🏆🏆🏆

Whilst we did not finish on the podium, the top 3 guilds finished way ahead of everyone else. It was that competitive this week. So I'd say we were the best of the rest 😜 and it's something to be satisfied with.

Everyone put in effort to do their best and I think we all deserved a small congratulatory clap.
