Here's my 49th Splinterlands Guild Brawl Report for PIZZA 2 The Deep Dish. 🍕⚔️🛡️

I'm still slightly under the 60% win rate that I had been holding on to for quite some time. The percentage has remained almost exactly the same as the previous brawl at about 59.8% (😜 yes I know, it's just 0.2% away from 60!) thanks to my 3 wins and 2 losses previously.

It seems that participation in the Guild Brawls has picked up once again as everyone seems to be facing a lot more opponents than before now. That's a good thing I guess. 😊 It was really quite terribly boring to face only 1 opponent, if any at all. 😴

As mentioned in my previous post, I was a wee bit away from my next Gladius pack and as expected, I have enough to get another one now. Unfortunately, I've not had much luck with my packs for some time now, and the trend does seem to be continuing 😭.

_{Hopefully Lady Luck continues to shine on me 🍀🍀🍀 and I don't get too many weird ruleset combinations which will completely screw up my limited Gold Foil selection of cards. (🤣 yeah, that's how terrible I am, to have to rely on luck for my wins)}

_{Some thoughts I have about my exploits in the Gold Frays. 💭🤔
I feel like I'm winning because my opponent has even less Gold Foil cards available to him than I do. Personally, I find it slightly flattering to me. The teams I field are definitely not the absolute strongest, but more of what is available to me.
It also doesn't account for HOW I win some of the fights though. I've realised that a fair number of them are from opponents who just gave up and did not even face me in battle. ⚔️⚔️⚔️
My choice of picking up the Gold Foil frays is to simply give the Guild a better chance at accumulating more wins, seeing especially that IN THE PAST, many Gold Frays were left empty. Even if I were to lose everything and win just 1 match, it would definitely help in securing a better finishing position overall. 🥇🥈🥉}

WON.

This was a really close fight. Had my Supply Runner not dodged against the opponent's Stitch Leech's sneak attacks for almost the entire game, it could well have been a loss for me. As it was though, I managed to take down the opponent 3 melee tanks and his main DPS, the Pelacor Arbalest, was negated when it moved to the 1st position. A hard fought victory indeed. 🎉

This was a match in which my Gladius card, the Witch of Warwick shone. The Opportunity ruleset favours units with the bloodlust ability. Of course, having so little life itself, I had to pick several sacrificial units to give it time to ramp up it's damage. This strategy paid off handsomely as it eventually grew into an unstoppable beast! 🎉

LOST.

I was so close to a perfect run of wins 😭.

I had actually expected to win this match especially upon seeing my opponent's lineup. However, I made a critical mistake in choosing 2 fragile units as my tanks thinking that the Scavo Hireling would be enough to keep them alive. 😰 The Scavo Hireling was unable to do anything if those tanks died in 2 hits. Urghhh. This is something I neglected to forsee and is another mistake I will not readily make again in the future. 😡

3 WINS 1 LOSS. It was a pretty good score for me overall. This will definitely pull up my winning percentage when I tabulate it again in the next brawl report 🤣.

Like I mentioned, the brawls are now a lot more populated again. Everyone is facing a decent number of opponents in their frays. Perhaps the Guild Brawls interest has been rekindled with the anticipated SPS rewards for brawls? Who knows 😝?

_{I feel it's important that Guilds are able to fill out all the frays - even the significantly "harder" Gold ones. It is very likely that most guilds (at our level) skip the Gold frays completely, or are unable to even field a team if they've got no Gold Foil Summoners. This therefore leads to a better overall score.}

Hooray for a podium finish. Once again, it has been another really competitive week. We were just 1 win away from the 2nd place, and had we lost 1 more match, we might have finished 4th instead. It shows that the margins have become really close here. Every single result is important and everyone needs to do their best 😉.
