Here's my 79th Splinterlands Guild Brawl Report for PIZZA 2 The Deep Dish. 🍕⚔️🛡️

It's been a few good weeks of results for my guild brawls. I don't think I've ever had such a good win rate ever before. It seems like my accidental missing of a guild brawl those a few months ago seemed to have subconsciously galvanised myself into achieving better results? 🤣

Nah. I doubt so though. I still feel that it's just pure luck that I managed NOT to meet any overwhelming opponents who would easily crush my very limited team into the ground. 🍀 That being said, would my good form continue again? Let's find out. 😜

Yet another week in which my winning percentage rate has gone up. It's only by a few decimal points to bring it past 62% but I think this is still an all time high. Am I pleased? Yes, definitely. It's only small marginal gains, but I'll savour all these little victories and progress where I can. 😁

I am still about 800 MERITS short of another Gladius scroll. I do believe the next guild brawl should push me over the line. Seeing as we are in the midst of a new round which just started, that should mean about 2 days (I hope). 😅

🤞🏻🍀🤞🏻🍀🤞🏻🍀 Fingers crossed for a Gold Foil (Legendary!!!) I hope 🤣🤑 for my future Gladius packs. (or any packs/rewards chest for that matter 😉)

With all that said, lets FINALLY get down to a review and quick analysis of my battles 🧐⚔️🛡️, or in some cases where my opponent fled 🏃🏻💨 - non battles 😨.

_{Hopefully Lady Luck continues to shine on me 🍀🍀🍀 and I don't get too many weird ruleset combinations which will completely screw up my limited Gold Foil selection of cards. (🤣 yeah, that's how terrible I am, to have to rely on luck for my wins)}

_{Some thoughts I have about my exploits in the Gold Frays. 💭🤔
I feel like I'm winning because my opponent has even less Gold Foil cards available to him than I do. Personally, I find it slightly flattering to me. The teams I field are definitely not the absolute strongest, but more of what is available to me.
It also doesn't account for HOW I win some of the fights though. I've realised that a fair number of them are from opponents who just gave up and did not even face me in battle. ⚔️⚔️⚔️
My choice of picking up the Gold Foil frays is to simply give the Guild a better chance at accumulating more wins, seeing especially that IN THE PAST, many Gold Frays were left empty. Even if I were to lose everything and win just 1 match, it would definitely help in securing a better finishing position overall. 🥇🥈🥉}

WON.

This was pretty much a free win for me. I believe the opponent simply had no available water splinter units fitting the ruleset conditions. Since he could only field 1 unit against my full lineup, it was pretty much a foregone conclusion. 🎉

LOST.

This was a terrible team selection from myself. I should have probably picked the LIFE splinter like my opponent did. Even my unit choice was questionable. Why on earth did I pick a unit which destroyed armour in a ruleset where there was none in the first place. This was a brain fart moment for me. 😭

WON.

This was a REALLY CLOSE fight. It boiled down to whose Supply Runner died first leaving the other party's ranged unable to attack. I managed to edge out my opponent by just 1 HP! That shows how close it was between us. Just ONE HEALTH POINT made the difference between victory or defeat. 🎉

WON.

Even though I ended the match with 3 units left standing, I felt it was really close and could have gone either way. Somehow, all my units contrived to miss the opponent's Time Meddler multiple rounds in a row. This allowed his Captain Katie to inflict a serious amount of damage and even managed to activate her BLOODLUST twice!

Fortunately, my units still had enough gas in the tank to bring her down before it was too late. Had the unlucky RNG continued, it would have been all over for me. 😱🎉

I lost my perfect streak! 🤣 Well, I never thought it would go on forever of course. I'm still quite pleased with this result.

I might have been able to get another perfect run again if it wasn't for that silly battle in which all common sense deserted me. Even now, I'm still wondering what on earth went on in my mind that made me field such an odd team lineup. 🤔

_{I feel it's important that Guilds are able to fill out all the frays - even the significantly "harder" Gold ones. It is very likely that most guilds (at our level) skip the Gold frays completely, or are unable to even field a team if they've got no Gold Foil Summoners. This therefore leads to a better overall score.}

PIZZA 2 Guild managed to finish in 4th place! 🏆🏆🏆

Yikes. I wasn't expecting such a low finish to be honest. Especially since we've managed to fill up more frays now and no one missed any battles too. This week just happened to be one of those tough weeks in which there was very strong competition. I guess these things happen. We tried our best so there's nothing to be ashamed of. Time to hunker down and hope to do better the next time round!
