This summoner is known to be one of the strongest and most overpowered cards in the game. Many a player have had their armies torn apart just by virtue of her making the difference in battle. I present to you - MIMOSA NIGHTSHADE 🧙🏻‍♀️🏹💀

(I've decided to write about Mimosa Nightshade instead of the Cursed Windeku for this week's Share Your Battle Challenge. This battle was simply too amazing not to share it 😉.)

Mimosa Nightshade is a Legendary card released during the Untamed expansion. It has definitely found it's place in many Death decks given its availability and usefulness. It's effects on the battlefield are 🎯-1 Ranged Damage🎯, 🛡️VOID ARMOR🛡️, and the 💀AFFLICTION💀 ability to all your units. It's summoning cost is, like all other Untamed Legendary Summoners, 7 🧪MANA🧪.

She doesn't give any stat buffs but instead debuffs all your opponents on the battlefield. All ranged units suffer a reduction in their damage capability, all magic units will suffer likewise with the VOID ARMOR ability conferred on all your units. And to top it off, all the opponent's units have AFFLICTION cast on them thus preventing any healing from taking place.

This could make all the difference if the battle comes down to the wire where the slightest advantage is the fine line between victory or defeat! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

The release of Untamed gave the Death splinter what is probably one of the most iconic cards in the game! With Mimosa Nightshade's unique ability among summoners to inflict so many different DEBUFFS on the opponent, she adds an unmatched level of battlefield control in the game. This is definitely what I'd consider game changing! 😱😱😱

As a summoner, his stat growth is pretty much as standard as they come along. The higher the level of your summoner, the higher the level of Common, Rare, Epic and Legendary cards can be fielded. ⚔️🛡️My Battle Showcase🛡️⚔️

Let me present a battle I fought recently in which I used Mimosa Nightshade. My opponent used the Legendary Chaos Legion Summoner Quix the Devious from the DRAGON splinter as his main pick, while I used the DEATH deck. 🐉 VS 💀

At first glance, it would seem like both of us were pretty evenly matched.

• We were both using level 1 legendary summoners.

• our unit levels were likewise similar.

• Our unit type choices were also similar, with a mix of melee, ranged and magic units. 🤯🤯

• Talk about a a fair fight. This battle would be determined on really fine margins indeed 🤣.

I was honestly expecting this to be a really even battle with losses on both sides 😜🤣. Who on earth would expect me to even inflict a total crushing defeat? Would I be able to turn the tide of battle against such an opponent then? Victory or defeat would lie in the small details.

I would say that Mimosa Nightshade was DEFINITELY the MVP of this match, having played it's role in turning the tide of battle.

The amount of debuffing support it gave my team resulted in me outlasting my opponent in this battle. It definitely provided the edge that I needed to overcome my opponent.

This ensured that the other units could eventually wear down the opponent until victory was achieved! 🏆🏆🏆

1st CARD SLOT

Harklaw is chosen for this slot. He plays the role of the Main tank perfectly with his great stats and the SHIELD ability allowing him to take a real beating.

2nd CARD SLOT

Djinn Muirat takes up the second slot. He makes a good backup tank with his tanky stats and is also able to deal decent magic damage from this slot.

3rd CARD SLOT

Silent Shavi occupies this slot. This is a hard hitting SNEAK attack unit which has the ability to decimate an unprotected backline.

4th CARD SLOT

The Ancient Lich takes the 4th slot. This frail unit is a hard hitting magic unit which gets tougher with every hit as the battle progresses.

5th CARD SLOT

Lira the Dark occupies this slot where her OPPORTUNITY ability allows her to target and take out the weakest units.

6th CARD SLOT

The Soulstorm occupies the last and final slot. It is a hard hitting and fast ranged dps unit with the FLYNG ability.

As you can see, both of us fielded very similar units in our matchup. The opponent basically went for a mix of Melee, Magic and Ranged based attacks with his Dragon/Death team, while I went a pure DEATH splinter! 🤣

🐉DRAGON🐉 VS 💀DEATH💀

My opponent used a Desert Dragon as his tank in the 1st slot, which was a VERY good choice. given it's high Armour. Not to mention, it also has the TRAMPLE ability, which ensures it will deal even more damage should it manage to land the killing blow.

His Djinn Muirat occupied the 2nd slot, filling the role as a backup tank and Magic DPS unit.

This was followed by his Chaos Dragon which was a hard hitting and extremely tanky Magic DPS unit.

The rest of his team was rounded off with 3 ranged DPS-ers.

My choice of the Main Tank was Harlaw who is perfect for this task. He has great tanking stats and the SHIELD ability to ensure he takes less damage from physical attacks.

Just like my opponent, I also used Djinn Muirat in my 2nd slot.

All my other 4 units were DPS units meant to deal damage from their position.

The battle started out with all our units just duking it out pound for pound. It was a really high mana game with 99 mana as the limit. The rulesets were HEALED OUT and EQUALIZER.

• The first round went as I expected with both of us fighting to a stalemate. All units were still standing after the initial salvo of attacks.

• Round 2 saw the opponent's tank fall in battle while my Harklaw still stood strong. Thanks to Mimosa Nightshade's debuffs and his SHIELD ability, he barely took any damage at all.

• Round 3 and 4 saw the opponent's Dhampir Infiltrator and Djinn Muirat fall in battle. The opponent was pretty much doomed by now. He had lost too much DPS to compete with me.

• The 4th round saw the opponent attempting to fightback with a consolation kill but Harlaw still kept standing with just 1 HP LEFT!!! 😱

• The game was wildly in my favour by now. But even his remaining 2 ranged DPS units could not even deal that 1 damage to my Harlaw to get that consolation kill. 😈

• It was all over for the opponent now I eventually scored a perfect victory. 💀💀💀

Talk about doing WAY MORE than it was supposed to!!! 😱🤯🥳 All i expected was for Mimosa to possibly provide some debuffs to give my team a slight advantage. However it ended up being the entire reason for my PERFECT win! Even though we had similar lineups, the opponent was simply unable to even deal enough damage to take out my tank with the amount of DEBUFFS placed on his units thanks to Mimosa. 🤣

Well as you can see here in this GIF of my battle, the results were pretty good! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

This was truly an eye opener! 😁🏆

Slowly, but surely, I wore down the opponent's team and the match ended up inflicting a crushing defeat. My team selection proved to be the edge I needed to eventually overpower my opponent. 💪🏻

Would I have done anything differently? 🤔 This might have seemed like a disadvantage at the start but I ended up winning handily. IF I had to use the same cards again, there would be no better lineup than what I had already used for the match. Any other combination MIGHT have resulted in a loss for me. I'm really satisfied with the results against such a worthy opponent. 🏆🥇
