Pelacor Arbalests are armed with powerful crossbows enchanted to fire bolts at extremely long distances. They are trained to wield a crossbow in each hand and can fire both simultaneously with deadly accuracy. Compounded with the Pelacor's excellent eyesight and nimble dexterity, these sharpshooters are extremely useful as snipers on the battlefield.

The Pelacor Arbalest is a Rare card released during the Chaos Legion expansion. It has definitely found it's place in many Life decks given its availability and usefulness. At LEVEL 1, it has 2 ⚔️ATTACK⚔️ and 2 🏃🏻SPEED🏃🏻, with 0 🛡️ARMOR🛡️ and 2 ❤️HEALTH❤️. It has the DOUBLE STRIKE ability. It's summoning cost is also on the mid range at just 6 🧪MANA🧪.

These stats does make the Pelacor Arbalest seem like it is a rather weak ranged unit. It doesn't have any tanking ability, nor does it have great speed.

The Pelacor Arbalest's true strength lies in it's ability DOUBLE STRIKE. It allows the unit to attack twice instead of the usual once! 😱 All of a sudden, that damage has now been doubled, which turns this unit into a huge DPS threat. This could make all the difference if the battle comes down to the wire where the slightest advantage is the fine line between victory or defeat! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

The release of Chaos Legion has given the Life splinter a really unique card in the Pelacor Arbalest. It is the FIRST ranged unit in the entire LIFE lineup in the game to get the DOUBLE STRIKE ability. This ensures that the Pelacor Arbalest will definitely have it's own place here in all Life decks. This is definitely what I'd consider game changing! 😱😱😱

As we can see here, the main purpose of the Pelacor Arbalest is simply it's DPS. It's stats improves slightly across the board as it levels up. At lv 5, it also attains the FLYING ability, allowing it to hit Flying units more effectively and giving it some much needed defense too. This isn't anything game changing, but it can potentially cause some serious damage in Earthquake rulesets against an unsuspecting opponent.

⚔️🛡My Battle Showcase🛡⚔️

Let me present a battle I fought recently in which I used the Pelacor Arbalest. My opponent used the DEATH splinter while I went for the LIFE splinter. 💀 VS 👼🏻

At first glance, this would seem like I was doomed. In terms of Summoner and unit levels, it was as lopsided as any game could ever be.

• The opponent was using a super LIMITED Waka Spiritblade summoner! 🤯😱😵

• All his units were maxed out for the League level we were fighting in (Silver) whereas my units were all at level 1 except for the Arbalest, which was slightly higher at level 2 😅.

• This put ALL my units at an enormous level disparity.

Clearly, in terms of card rarity and card strength, this looked like a lost cause 😜🤣. Would I be able to turn the tide of battle against such an opponent then? Victory or defeat would lie in the small details.

I would say that the Pelacor Arbalest was DEFINITELY the MVP of this match, having played it's role in turning the tide of battle. It showcased it amazing DPS dishing out a huge amount of damage throughout the battle and even crucially took out the frontlines before the opponent's Sandworm and Dhampir Stalker could finish off my units 🤣.

This ensured that the other units could eventually wear down the opponent until victory was achieved! 🏆🏆🏆

1st CARD SLOT

Uriel the Purifier takes the role of the Main Tank in the first slot here. It will be the most important role since the backline will fall if the Main Tank goes.

2nd CARD SLOT

The Hero of Beyond fills this slot. It's role is to deal damage from this position with it's Ranged attacks. Should the main tank fall, it will pick up the task of tanking thanks to it's CLOSE RANGE ability.

3rd CARD SLOT

Adelade Brightwing takes this slot. Protected in the middle, it will deal it's damage from here and also use it's REPAIR ability to boost the team's defenses.

4th CARD SLOT

The Evangelist occupies the 4th slot. It's job is to be the DPS. Putting it in the middle here also keeps it safe.

5th CARD SLOT

The Pelacor Arbalest occupies this slot. It's role is also to DPS from the safety of the backline.

The Primologist occupies the last slot. It's role is also to DPS from the safety of the backline.

As you can see, both of us fielded very different decks from different splinters. I would say it's a polar opposite of opposing factions! Heaven and Hell, Light and Darkness... 😜

👼🏻LIFE👼🏻 VS 💀 DEATH 💀.

My opponent used the Bone Golem as his main tank in the 1st slot which is an AMAZING choice, given how suitable he is as a tank especially with it's VOID ability. His Harklaw was placed in the 2nd slot, where it would serve as a backup tank with it's SHIELD ability. The 3rd and 4th slots were occupied by his Djinn Muirat and Phantom Soldier, both of which were hard hitting magic damage units. A Sandworm and Dhampir Stalker rounded off the rest of his DPS.

My choice of the Main Tank was Uriel which would make a great Tank with it's stats and SHIELD. It was followed by the Hero of Beyond in the 2nd slot who would be my backup tank whilst also being a major source of DPS with it's Ranged attack. The 3rd slot was occupied by Adelade whose main role was to heal my units' armour with her REAPAIR ability. The next 3 slots were filled out with my Ranged DPS units.

The battle started out with all our units just duking it out pound for pound. It was a very high mana ruleset with 58 mana as the limit. Both me and my opponent didn't manage to fully fill out the mana allocation, but we came close.

• The first wave surprisingly ended up with none of my units dying! In fact, I even managed to take out the opponent's Bone Golem 😱. This showed the array of DPS that I had lined up was doing their job.

• The 2nd round saw a reversal of fortunes as I lost my main tank, Uriel and one of my DPS units, the Prismologist. At least I managed to take down the opponent's Harklaw too. However, I didn't feel like it looked too good at this point. 😰

• Round 3 saw me losing my Hero of Beyond whilst I took out Djinn Muirat at the start of Round 4.

• Round 5 saw my Adelade and the opponent's Phantom Solider go down.

• It was down to the wire in Round 6 as my 2 ranged units, the Evangelist and Pelacor Arbalest, faced off against the opponent's Sandworm and Dhampir Stalker

• Thankfully in a race of DPS, my Pelacor Arbalest saved the day by finishing off his Sandworm first, thus completely incapacitating the Dhampir Stalker who was unable to attack at all once it was moved to the first position.

Talk about doing WAY MORE than it was supposed to!!! 😱🤯🥳 All I expected was for the Pelacor Arbalest to play it's part in chipping in with a bit of damage here and there. Yet it did more than that and completely came up with a Clutch Victory by taking out the opponent's last melee unit. 💪🏻

The battle ended up being an amazing UNDERDOG VICTORY with my vastly outmatched team somehow managing to score an upset win! Surely that made it the Man of the Match for this battle, punching way above it's weight! 💯

Well as you can see here in this GIF of my battle, the results were pretty good! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

This was truly an eye opener! 😁🏆

Slowly, but surely, I wore down the opponent's team and the match was won by a whisker! My team selection proved to be the edge I needed to eventually overpower my opponent. 💪🏻

Would I have done anything differently? 🤔 This might have seemed like a match that would prove to be a challenge at the start because of the vast disparity in levels. However, with my completely unexpected underdog upset win, IF I had to use the same cards again, there would be no better lineup than what I had already used for the match. Any other combination MIGHT have resulted in a loss for me. I'm really satisfied with the results against such a worthy opponent. 🏆🥇
