(Instead of writing about the Djinn Inferni, I've decided to write about Torhilo instead. I've had a battle which showcases his ridiculous anti magic tanking ability and it would be a waste not to share this instead. 😱)

This massive frozen bull is one of the Frost Giant’s only friends left in the world. He has lived for hundreds of years and is growing tired, but Torhillo still charges at everything he faces with vigor.

Torhilo is a Epic card released during the Untamed expansion. I'd daresay it's the mainstay of MANY Water decks. At LEVEL 1, it has 4 ⚔️ATTACK⚔️ and 1 🏃🏻SPEED🏃🏻, with 4 🛡️ARMOR🛡️ and 8 ❤️HEALTH❤️. It has the VOID ability. It's summoning cost is very high at 9 🧪MANA🧪.

These stats alone make Torhilo EXTREMELY tanky. He also packs a huge punch with his massive attack power!

Torhilo's true strength lies in it's VOID ability which allows him to really take a beating from any magic unit and still come off none the worse for wear. I would consider this card to be in the HIGHEST TIER of cards for the Water splinter! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

The release of this Untamed edition card has given the Water splinter one of the best anti magic units aroud. If you're looking for a gigantic tank to protect all your units from an onslaught of spells, Torhillo is your go-to guy.

As we can see here, the main purpose of Torhillo is to be a tanking behemoth who is also able to pack a punch. Stats wise, his attack and armor/hp gets higher at higher levels, reinforcing it's ability to do what it does best! At levels 4 and above, he gains LAST STAND AND SHATTER, turning him into an even better tank and doing more damage than ever if everyone else on the team has fallen, leaving him to carry the last hope of victory on his shoulders.

⚔️🛡️My Battle Showcase🛡️⚔️

Let me present a battle I fought recently in which I used Torhillo. My opponent used the WATER splinter against my WATER too! 😱

This was a battle between two exact same factions! Is this civil war? Internal strife? Who would come out victorious at the end of this struggle? 💧 VS 💧

This was a pretty even match with both teams having summoners are units who were at the exact same levels.

• Although we both used the same splinter and had the same summoner levels, our unit choices were pretty different.

• My opponent went for a magic heavy setup with Alric and his +1 magic damage.

• I went for the complete opposite with Bortus and his -1 magic damage with a mostly physical DPS team.

• Given this opposing clash of forces, would I still be able to win?

I would say that Torhilo was DEFINITELY the MVP of this match, having played a big role in turning the tide of battle. It's VOID ability allowed it to take everything the opponent threw at it and shrug it off completely as it reliably held it's own on the frontlines. 😱

This ensured that the other units could eventually wear down the opponent until victory was achieved! 🏆🏆🏆

1st CARD SLOT

Torhilo takes the role of the Main Tank in the first slot here. It will be the most important role since the backline will fall if the Main Tank goes.

2nd CARD SLOT

Djinn Oshannus occupies this slot. His main role is to be the backup tank. Should the Main Tank fall, his VOID ability and excellent stats will allow him to continue holding the line effectively.

3rd CARD SLOT

The Sand Worm occupies the 3rd slot. It is a hard hitting SNEAK attack unit which can easily decimate an opponent's backline.

4th CARD SLOT

The Deeplurker occupies this slot. It is another hard hitting unit with the OPPORTUNITY ability that allows it to target and destroy the weakest units on the opponent's team.

5th CARD SLOT

The Crustacean King occupies the 5th slot. Safely protected in the backline, it's task is to heal the main tank.

6th CARD SLOT

Nerissa Tridawn occupies the final slot. She is a hard hitting Magic DPS unit who also boasts a huge amount of Health. This will allow her to also protect the backline from any SNEAK attacks.

As you can see, both of us fielded VERY DIFFERENT decks! We might have used the same splinters but our choice of units were night and day. My opponent went for a magic DPS team while I went for an anti magic team.

💧WATER💧 VS 💧WATER💧

My opponent used the Spineback Turtle as his main tank in the first slot. This is as good a choice as any for a tank. The spineback Turtle has great defensive stats and the THORNS ability too. This ensures it will deal even more damage to any melee units which hit it.

His other 5 slots were all occupied by Magic DPS-ers with the intention to swarm me with a barrage of attacks.

Overall, I would say this was a pretty decent lineup.

My choice of the Main Tank was Torhilo the Frozen. He is a perfect candidate for such a task, having a massive amount of Armour and HP. Together with the VOID ability and his huge amount of damage, he will also double as DPS for my team. 💪

Next, I had the Djinn Oshannus in my 2nd slot as a backup tank. Similar to Torhilo, he too has the VOID ability.

My next 2 slots were filled with units with the SNEAK/OPPORTUNITY ability to pick off my opponent's backline.

The 5th slot features a healer in the form of the Crustacean King. His job is to ensure that my main tank lasts for as long as possible on the field.

The LAST slot features Nerissa whose job is to DPS and also protect the backline from SNEAK units with her high amount of health.

The battle started out with all our units just duking it out pound for pound. It was a high mana game with 48 mana as the limit. The rulesets were FOG OF WAR.

• The 1st wave saw my Torhilo getting STUNNED by the opponent's Medusa. The opposing team instantly lost their Pixie too as the Deeplurker killed it off.

• Throughout the barrage of magic damage from the opponent, Torhilo took only 1 damage and was then back to full health again from a heal.

• The 2nd round saw my Torhilo getting stunned once again. The opponent's team was almost completely decimated now as only 2 units were left standing after the round ended.

• Torhilo didn't even take a single damage this round as his VOID negated all of the magic damage from the opponent. 😎

• It was ALL OVER at this point as the final round was just a mopping up of whatever was left.

Talk about doing WAY MORE than it was supposed to!!! 😱🤯🥳 All I expected from Torhilo was for it to tank a few hits before dying. Yet it did more than that and lasted through the entire battle AND took absolutely ZERO DAMAGE from all the other units!

It's VOID ability really shone through in such a setup against a magic focused opponent as nothing seemed to be able to scratch him at all.

Surely that made it the Man of the Match for this battle, punching way above it's weight!

Well as you can see here in this GIF of my battle, the results were pretty good! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

This was truly an eye opener! 😁🏆

Slowly, but surely, I wore down the opponent's team and the match was won handily. My team selection proved to be the edge I needed to eventually overpower my opponent. 💪🏻

Would I have done anything differently? 🤔 This might have seemed like a match that would prove to be a challenge at the start because of how even both teams were. However, with my dominant VICTORY, IF I had to use the same cards again, there would be no better lineup than what I had already used for the match. Any other combination MIGHT have resulted in a loss for me. I'm really satisfied with the results against such a worthy opponent. 🏆🥇
