Everything seems to be stable this week in terms of the overall crypto market. That doesn't mean that prices are doing too well as compared to the weeks and months before, but if anything, at least it isn't falling and has found a new stabilizing mark.

On the Splinterlands dev side of the game, we've had some HUGE announcements with regards to the next phase of SPS integration into the reward mechanism of the game. Say goodbye to Collection Power and Hello to Staked SPS. Yup you heard me right indeed. 😱

But before I go into detail...

A brief introduction before I start though...

Good Day to all Splinterlands players! (and people of HIVE! 😜) I've made it a point to blog about my weekly progress and experiences in Splinterlands/HIVE in my "weekly diary". Splinterlands & HIVE are what I'd consider to be my entry point into the World of Crypto, and I intend to use this as a means to look back on the path I've taken in the years ahead.⏳⏳⏳

This is now the 78th consecutive week writing in my Diary (of sorts) detailing my Splinterlands Journey ever since I started this game. I talk about what has gone on my personal Splinterlands playing experience, my weekly Guild Brawl Reports, and also any Splinterlands ingame news. 🎉🥳🎊

No week goes by in Splinterlands without some news event happening though. And here's my pick of some of the most interesting ones in my opinion. 📰📰📰

It's been quite a week to say the least, at least at the start of it. Splinterlands saw another End of Season come and go, so that day or 2 involved quite a bit more activity than usual. Both my accounts managed to finish in the Gold League, although I don't know how much longer it is viable to do that once the new SPS restrictions kick in. 😭

I haven't seen a Chaos Legion pack as part of my rewards for quite a few seasons already. I think I would rate the rewards for the season as slightly below average.

My quest for more Gold Foil Legendary cards from my rewards chests continues on ("Greed is Good!" 😈). It's a 0.008% chance, at base level, to pull a legendary gold foil, in case you were wondering 😉. Here's to more jackpot strikes in the future (i hope) 🤞🏻🍀🤞🏻🍀🤞🏻🍀.

I have not managed to get any new Nightmare packs to replace all those I've sold. I will wait patiently to get them at the price I want. 🤑

I managed to acquire yet another 2k MERITS required for yet another Gladius Case. However, the opening results were once again pretty disappointing. It was just the bare minimum of 1 Rare and 4 Commons, with no gold foils at all. 😭

🤞🏻🍀🤞🏻🍀🤞🏻🍀 Fingers crossed for a Gold Foil (Legendary!!!) I hope 🤣🤑 for my future Gladius packs. (or any packs/rewards chest for that matter 😉)

My main regularly picks up the ✨🏅✨Gold Foil Chaos Legion Only Fray no.12✨🏅✨ while my alt takes up the ✨🏅✨Wild Novice League Fray no. 2✨🏅✨ every week.

Both my main and alt accounts performed very well again this week. My main achieved an impressive perfect score of 6-0 while my alt came close too with a score of 7-1.

PIZZA 2 Guild managed to finish in 4th place! 🏆🏆🏆

All our brawlers who participated actually achieved very good win rates, so it was quite disappointing to once again miss out on a podium position. Of those who participated, everyone got just about near perfect scores with barely any losses. All I can say is that our guild is now facing a severe lack of players who actively participate in brawls. That is affecting our overall ranks no matter how much of an individual each person puts in.

Great Job from everyone who took part in the Guild Brawls! I'm proud of you all! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

This innocuous table of numbers holds a lot more implications than many players realise. 😱 So do look at it intently and carefully.

There has been no exact date announced yet, but the Collection Power rating that has been with us since forever will soon go the way of the dinosaur. In it's place, will be staked SPS requirements instead.

The idea behind this is that the Splinterlands team has finally decided to move onto their implementation of their whitepaper for SPS which is to integrate it within the reward mechanism of the game itself.

The resulting consequences will be huge and I doubt anyone can really predict how this will all turn out. All I can say is that everyone should really start stocking up on SPS while they can before this goes live. Especially since SPS prices are about as low as they come now, missing out on this opportunity could prove really expensive down the road.

I also think it could go the other way and drive more players away from the game instead, thus causing the prices of everything to collapse. I can't really tell at this point. I've always decided to take this as a game and not let it affect me too much, so we shall see. 😅
