Hello, Splinterlands community! I'm Charlie, a passionate content creator and gaming educator hailing from Chicopee, MA. With a wealth of experience in creating entertaining, recreational, and educational content since 2017, I am thrilled to share a groundbreaking initiative that blends my love for gaming with a commitment to youth development. This exciting project, known as the One Strong Community Program (@onestrong), is set to introduce a Splinterlands Youth Team, marking a new chapter in our journey.
Mission and Vision
As many of you know, through my platform, "BoyCharliePlays!" and "One Strong Community Program" I've embarked on a journey to build creative videos, programming, and hosted communities.
Afterschool Programs with a Purpose
Our afterschool programs at One Strong Community Program go beyond traditional childcare; they're designed to ignite skill-building, foster collaboration, and create unforgettable experiences for youth aged 5-13. Guided by our dedicated staff members, our Youth Members actively participate in a variety of activities, challenges, and community projects, seamlessly orchestrated through engaging programs and platforms.
In addition to the dynamic learning environment provided by Classcraft, we've incorporated the use of popular games like Pokemon and Minecraft to enrich our educational approach.
We love Pokemon
Pokemon adds an exciting layer to our program, as our dedicated staff not only guides youth on how to play the Pokemon video games but also delves into the strategic world of Pokemon trading cards. During these sessions, we explore the intricate design history of Pokemon, providing insights into the captivating evolution of this iconic franchise.
We especially love Minecraft
Minecraft, another integral part of our curriculum, serves as a creative outlet for participants, fostering problem-solving and teamwork skills. Through the game's interactive and immersive nature, we aim to stimulate both imagination and critical thinking. Together, Pokemon and Minecraft contribute to a well-rounded educational experience, combining the strategic depth of Pokemon with the creativity and collaboration inherent in Minecraft, all within the engaging framework of our afterschool programs at One Strong Community Program.

Expanding our horizons, I am excited to begin introducing Splinterlands into our programming beginning on Monday.
Splinterlands is a blockchain-based trading card game that offers a unique blend of strategy and fantasy. Developed on the Hive blockchain, this game provides an innovative and decentralized gaming experience. Players collect and battle with digital assets represented as cards, each possessing distinct attributes and abilities.
In Splinterlands, battles unfold in strategic turns, where players deploy their cards to defeat opponents. The game's complexity lies in building well-balanced decks and devising strategic moves to outmaneuver adversaries. Splinterlands provides an avenue for our Youth Members to develop tactical thinking, enhance decision-making skills, and experience the excitement of competitive gaming.
By incorporating Splinterlands into our program, we aim to broaden the horizons of our young learners, exposing them to the world of blockchain gaming and fostering a passion for strategic thinking. This addition aligns seamlessly with our mission to provide diverse and enriching experiences for the youth in our community, promoting both education and recreational growth.
Raising funds for 10 Spellbooks
The students are going to receive a small amount of DEC and SPS to work with on the @onestrong account. I'm setting a specific goal for our community program to raise 10 spellbooks for all 10 of the oscmember hive accounts to have.
To raise funds for 10 Spellbooks, one for each slot in our afterschool program. Imagine the impact - each student having access to a spellbook, laying the foundation for a journey into the world of Splinterlands.
