Acquiring More Splinterlands

(Edited)

The Land for sale in Splinterlands looks cheap to me and it appears to be getting cheaper. It's not unusual to see a gradual price drop as the hype of a new release starts to wear off but I've been keeping an eye out for bargains and now seems like a good time to swoop.

I think I've got a decent handle on how the land economics will work and I have a strategy in place for Magic Food Production in the Earth and Life Splinters so I thought I could expand into a couple of more splinters to double down on my initial investment. Today I've picked up an additional 8 plots in a new region with a similar mix to my first investment. An Occupied Plot with 2 Magical Plots (Death and Water) plus 5 Common Plots to give me some utility and build out my supply chain.

It's a Swamp dominated region so I should be able to assign almost 100% workers from the Death and Water splinters, meaning that I can once again plan to feed my own workers with the magical food that I am producing within the region. The first step has been to acquire a decent chunk of land and then I'll sort out the Power Cores, source the Grain and Workers to get the land producing over coming months.

Of course it's another fairly high risk investment and the market for land has been trending down so I don't know if we're close to the bottom just yet, but I've come up with what I think is a decent strategy so may as well back myself and see it through.

Yeah a lot of focus has been on battles but nothing to really get excited about especially with prices falling. That's leading up to some pretty solid ops to buy at lower prices again. Will we get a bump again later as land 2.0 releases etc? I hope but it's really unclear at the moment. It's very hard to say we are not in a bull run right now and Splinterlands a long with another hive assets just are not moving. The focus is elsewhere in this bull run for the moment.

Yeah, I picked up those Common lands at $22 which is almost half what I paid for my original swathe. The Magical lands look silly cheap to me at $35. Lets see how this bull run matures, but it often gets broader as it gains steam...

I've just been plugging along with my seven lands. I am glad I didn't get any more than that. I don't think I would have been able to manage them all.

Many assets are available at low price in the splinterlands game so it's a good idea I think

I dont think the older assets playable in wild ie; untamed, alpha etc are going to stop falling in price, there is no reason to hold them anymore as they cant earn well in battles and land is not profitable in its current state. They messed up big time there and the card prices are showing it.

I get confused at times
Is Splinterlands only scout battles or lands?
Does the game have different sections?

I've shied away from land for that one reason, the downward trend. I hope it pays off big for you though. I'm hoping SPS will get a rebound soon, it's slowly drifting back down the drain...

Happy month of April,
How were your season rewards after the season finale?
The potential of Glint is interesting. Title and Soul Bound Cards are my target.
Have you got an idea of what you will do with your Glint?
Land investment in Splinterlands can be challenging.

The prices are coming down so it's a good opportunity for all people who are interested in this game to buy it and play the game themselves.
