A defensive and counter-attacking lineup to deal with the ruleset going the distance - Battle mage secrets/Weekly Challenge (EN/ES).

Greetings, appreciated Splinterlands community, as always it is a pleasure to share with you my strategies in the Weekly Challenge event and this challenge in particular was one that I quite enjoyed: Going the Distance. But first let's see what this ruleset is about.
Saludos apreciada comunidad de Splinterlands como siempre es un gusto compartir con ustedes mis estrategias en el evento Weekly Challenge y este reto en particular fue uno que disfrute bastante: Going the Distance. Pero primero veamos de que trata esta ruleset.
🏹 Going the Distance
Going the Distance only allows us to use ranged attack units, this completely excludes melee and magic units, but not those units that combine range/mele or range/magic attacks.
Going the Distance solo nos permite utilizar unidades de ataque rango, esto excluye por completo a unidades melé y mágicas, pero no así aquellas unidades que combinan ataques rango/melé o rango/mágicas.
The Vigilator, Drybone Raider, Runemancer Flore.
Units like The Vigilator, Drybone Raider and Runemancer Flore are good options to place in first position as this is the most complicated aspect of this ruleset, which unit to place in first position.
Unidades como The Vigilator, Drybone Raider y Runemancer Flore son buenas opciones para colocar en la primera posición ya que este es el aspecto más complicado de esta ruleset, cual unidad colocar en la primera posición.
Lir Deepswimmer & Ilthain
Since only ranged attack units can be used, summoners like Lir Deepswimmer or Ilthain are options with great potential since they give all your units the Return Fire ability that allows them to return ranged damage. In this post we will see how effective an alignment with the Lir Deepswimmer summoner can be and which are the most convenient units to deal with this ruleset.
Como solo pueden utilizarse unidades de ataque rango, invocadores como Lir Deepswimmer o Ilthain son unas opciones con gran potencial ya que confieren a todas tus unidades la habilidad Return Fire que les permite devolver el daño rango. En esta publicación veremos cuan efectivo puede llegar a ser una alineación con el invocador Lir Deepswimmer y cuales son las unidades más convenientes para hacer frente a esta ruleset.

We start from a battle with a mana limit of 32 and the possibility of choosing between the water, death and dragon splinter. While the battle rules are going the distance so we can only use units with ranged attacks, rise of the commons in which we can only use common/rare units and finally these ranged units will have the snipe ability. As you can see in the diamond league the combination of these rules can be quite twisted.
Partimos de una batalla con un limite de mana de 32 y la posibilidad de escoger entre el splinter de agua, muerte y dragón. Mientras que las reglas de batalla son going the distance por lo que solo podremos usar unidades con ataque rango, rise of the commons en el que solo podremos usar unidades comunes/raras y por último estas unidades rango tendrán la habilidad snipe. Como pueden observar en la liga de diamante la combinación de estas reglas puede llegar a ser bastante retorcidas.
🎴Cards/Cartas
🧙♂️Summoner/Invocador: Lir Deepswimmer
Our splinter for this battle will be of the water class and Lir Deepswimmer our best option, this summoner was literally created for this type of battle since it gives the Return fire ability to all units, adds +2 to defense and blinds the enemy . So when attacking the enemy will end up hurting themselves, what we must try to do in our lineup is to put up units that can offer support to our lineup.
Nuestro splinter para esta batalla será de la clase agua y Lir Deepswimmer nuestra mejor opción, este invocador se creó literalmente para este tipo de batallas ya que le confiere la habilidad Return fire a todas la unidades, suma +2 a la defensa y ciega al enemigo. Entonces al atacar el enemigo terminará haciéndose daño, lo que debemos procurar en nuestra alineación es plantear unidades que puedan ofrecer apoyo a nuestra alineación.
👾 Monsters/Monstruos: Angelic Mandarin

We can only use rare and common units, if we want to put together a competent lineup we must know that first, according to the target practice rule, it will be the unit in the second position, so the unit that we will place in the first position is Angelic Mandarin, which with its Triage ability that allows it allows healing to the second position.
Solamente podremos usar unidades raras y comunes, si queremos armar una alineación competente debemos saber que primero por la regla target practice será la unidad en la segunda posición así que la unidad que ubicaremos en la primera posición es Angelic Mandarin que con su habilidad Triage que le permite sanar a la segunda posición.
👾 Water Elemental
The second position will be the one that will receive all the attacks, so our best candidate would be one that could heal and Water Elemental is that card, with the Heal ability and the possibility of dodging attacks we make sure that this position can receive a large amount of damage and if We are also lucky to avoid them.
La segunda posición será la que recibirá todos los ataques, entonces nuestro mejor candidato sería una que pudiera sanarse y Water Elemental es esa carta, con la habilidad Heal y la posibilidad de esquivar ataques nos aseguramos que esta posición pueda recibir gran cantidad de daño y si tenemos suerte también esquivarlos.
👾 Swamp Spitter
This unit will also serve a supporting purpose in our strategy, by repairing the shields it allows Water Elemental to hold its ground in second position. It is our second fastest unit so this allows us to finish a round and be able to repair as soon as possible.
Esta unidad también tendrá un propósito de apoyo en nuestra estrategia, al reparar los escudos le permite a Water Elemental mantenerse firme en la segunda posición. Es nuestra segunda unidad más rápida así que esto permite que terminar un round podamos reparar lo mas pronto posible.
👾 Crustacean king
Although it is unlikely that the unit in the first position will receive any damage, we will use this unit for the +2 defense and thus reinforce the defenses of all our units.
Aunque es poco probable que la unidad en la primera posición reciba algún daño usaremos esta unidad por el +2 a la defensa y reforzar así las defensas de todas nuestras unidades.
👾 Naga Windmaster
This unit, rather than considering it an offensive type, will help us reduce the opponent's damage capacity with the Naga Windmaster skill that reduces the damage of all range units by -1, this will allow the Water Elemental to better withstand the damage it receives.
Esta unidad más que considerarla de tipo ofensivo nos ayudará a reducir la capacidad de daño del oponente con la habilidad Naga Windmaster que redice en -1 el daño de todas la unidades rango, esto le permitirá al Water Elemental aguantar mejor el daño que reciba.
👾 Xenith Archer
Finally to complete our lineup we will use Xenith Archer, these units range of 2 mana are very important and it is in these situations that shine by themselves, my recommendation is to take them to the maximum possible levels in this case I have this card at level 7 to be able to use it with epic rarity summoners.
Por último para completar nuestra alineación usaremos a Xenith Archer, estas unidades rango de 2 de mana son muy importantes y es en estas situaciones que brillan por si solas, mi recomendación es llevarlas a los máximos niveles posibles en este caso yo tengo esta carta en nivel 7 para poder usarlo con invocadores de rareza épica.
⚔️Strategy and battle lineup/Estrategia y alineación de batalla
With our lineup finished, we send the battle and can observe the enemy lineup. In this sense, the units that are most dangerous are Gargoya Devil and Dhampir Stalker, while the rest would not do enough damage to break our alignment. Let's see how this battle develops.
Con nuestra alineación terminada, enviamos la batalla y podemos observar la alineación enemiga. En este sentido las unidades que revisten mayor peligro son Gargoya Devil y Dhampir Stalker, mientras que el resto no harían el daño suficiente para romper nuestra alineación. 💥Round 1💥
In the first round we managed to eliminate the Twister Jester, leaving the dangerous Gargoya Devil as the next target, meanwhile our Water Elemental has received damage from the Dhampir but let's see his ability to replenish his health and defense in the next round.
En el primer round logramos eliminar al Twister Jester dejando como próximo objetivo al peligroso Gargoya Devil, mientras tanto nuestro Water Elemental ha recibido daño del Dhampir pero veamos la capacidad para reponer su salud y defensa en el siguiente round.
💥Round 2💥
In the 2nd round, the Water elemental recovers his life and finishes eliminating the Devil Gargoyle's defenses so that Naga Windmaster can finish dispatching him and thus eliminate one of the biggest threats that our opponent had.
En el 2do round el Water elemental recupera su vida y termina de eliminar las defensas del Gargoya devil para que Naga Windmaster termine de despacharlo y eliminar así una de las mayores amenazas que tenía nuestro oponente.
💥Round 3 - 5💥
In the third round the next dangerous element is eliminated: Dhampir Stalker along with the Venari Marksrat, at this point it will be difficult for our opponent to eliminate our Water Elemental. Already in the fourth round we completely eliminated the enemy secondary row, leaving the Dark Ferryman alone in front of the abyss and it is in the 5th round that we give him the final blow with Water Elemental, achieving an impeccable victory without having lost a single point of defense or life.
En el tercer round es eliminado el siguiente elemento peligroso: Dhampir Stalker junto al Venari Marksrat, ya en este punto será complicado que nuestro oponente pueda eliminar a nuestro Water Elemental. Ya en el cuarto round eliminamos por completo la fila secundaria enemiga dejando al Dark Ferryman solo frente al abismo y es en el 5to round que le damos el golpe de gracia con Water Elemental logrando una victoria impecable sin haber perdido ni un solo punto de defensa o vida.
💧 Conclusions/Conclusiones
- To face Going the distance, water and life splinters are the most convenient because they have summoners that confer the return fire ability. Of the two splinters, the water class has the most versatile cards with the most convenient support abilities.
- Para enfrentar Going the distance los splinter de agua y vida son los más convenientes porque tienen invocadores que confieren la habilidad return fire. De ambos splinter, la clase agua tiene las cartas más versátiles y con las habilidades de apoyo más convenientes.
