Saludos apreciada comunidad de Hive NFTGame Latino y Splinterlands! Bienvenidos al resumen de nuestra actividad de los sábados en el Discord de la comunidad Hive NFTGame Latino, gracias a esta comunidad es que podemos tener este espacio para hablar de Splinterlands y tener nuestros apasionantes minitorneos, de igual forma a la comunidad de Aliento quienes nos apoyan para que esta transmisión sea posible. En esta ocasión, nuestra transmisión es temática es decir recreamos virtualmente el ambiente de una taberna llevando al programa una cerveza comercial o artesanal y compartiéndola en el chat del directo. En mi caso traje 2 cervezas comerciales una importada y otra nacional, decidí comenzar con la importada que era una Heineken ya que últimamente las noches en Caracas se han vuelto muy calurosas.
Greetings to the esteemed Hive NFTGame Latino and Splinterlands communities! Welcome to the recap of our Saturday activity on the Hive NFTGame Latino community Discord server. Thanks to this community, we have this space to talk about Splinterlands and host our exciting mini-tournaments. We also extend our gratitude to the Aliento community for their support in making this stream possible. This time, our broadcast has a theme; that is, we're virtually recreating the atmosphere of a tavern by bringing a commercial or craft beer to the show and sharing it in the live chat. In my case, I brought two commercial beers, one imported and one domestic. I decided to start with the imported one, which was a Heineken, since the nights in Caracas have been getting very hot lately.

A la taberna se unieron mis estimados @cpol y @mirlenyjerez para acompañarnos en la tertulia y minitorneo y también @culebro y @takeru255 que si me acompañaron con sus respectivas cervezas! Los 3 coincidimos en escoger Heineken para aplacar el calor! Así que brindamos porque nuevamente regularizamos nuestras transmisiones de la taberna los sábados, ya que dado los trágicos eventos del sismo en Venezuela no habíamos podido retomar las transmisiones. Salud!
My esteemed friends @cpol and @mirlenyjerez joined us in the tavern for the chat and mini-tournament, as did @culebro and @takeru255, who brought their own beers! All three of us agreed on choosing Heineken to beat the heat! So, let's raise a glass to the fact that we're back to our regular Saturday tavern broadcasts, since we hadn't been able to resume broadcasting due to the tragic earthquake in Venezuela. Cheers!

Y bien amigos, en la tertulia de esta transmisión nos enfocamos en las nuevas cartas extra del set Foundations en el contexto del Evento Arena Vanguard como una expresión de la comunidad tomando la iniciativa al proponer este conjunto de cartas desde los creadores de contenido y streammers. Son cartas limitadas, así que una vez termine este evento ya no se emitirán más de estas cartas y la única forma de conseguirlas será en el mercado de cartas.
Alright friends, in this broadcast we're focusing on the new bonus cards from the Foundations set in the context of the Arena Vanguard Event. This set represents a community initiative, proposed by content creators and streamers. These cards are limited edition, so once the event ends, they won't be released again, and the only way to get them will be through the card market.

Estamos hablando entonces de 6 cartas raras que cubren los 6 elementos clásicos: fuego, agua, tierra, vida, muerte y neutra. Tienen diseños bastante trabajados, pero que también coinciden es su alto coste de mana manteniéndose en un intervalo de entre 9 a 13 de mana, por lo que su uso es un tanto restringido para batallas de bajo mana o mana intermedio.
We're talking about six rare cards that cover the six classic elements: fire, water, earth, life, death, and neutral. They have quite elaborate designs, but they also share a high mana cost, ranging from 9 to 13 mana. This makes their use somewhat restricted to low-mana or mid-mana battles.

Pero lo más novedoso es que aparecen 2 cartas de clase dragón nuevos: Vaelok una unidad mágica y el primer arconte dragón Aurendrak con muy buenos modificadores tácticos y al mismo tiempo el único arconte dragón legendario que confiere la habilidad flank a una unidad o vacío haciéndola resistente a los ataques mágicos! Esto hace que este arconte sea de gran ayuda para aquellos nuevos jugadores que buscan comenzar de la mejor manera en moderno una vez que completes todas tus cartas Foundations.
But the most exciting news is the addition of two new Dragon-class cards: Vaelok, a magic unit, and the first Dragon Archon, Aurendrak, with excellent tactical modifiers. Aurendrak is also the only legendary Dragon Archon that grants a unit the Flank ability, making it resistant to magic attacks! This makes this Archon incredibly helpful for new players looking to get off to a great start in Modern once they've completed their Foundations cards.

Tenemos entonces la oportunidad de conseguir estas cartas a través de los canales de streamers via Twich, por un jackpot al reclamar las recompensas en Frontier o dando un giro a la ruleta de premios. La única alternativa que parece segura es comprar algunas de estas cartas en la tienda de Sparks y por el costo que tienen (30000 Sparks), es el único detalle negativo que le veo a este evento, considerando que son cartas raras, si quieres llevar una de estas cartas raras a nivel 2 desde la tienda tendrías que gastar 150K de Sparks! Dudo que podamos reunir esa cantidad de Sparks en lo que resta de año, por lo que esto puede verse como un serio filtro para los nuevos jugadores que estén entusiasmado en adquirir una de estas cartas y simplemente queden por fuera, ya sea que no tuvieron la suerte de conseguir una en la ruleta/reconpensas diarias o no alcanzaron a reunir los 30000 sparks.
We have the opportunity to acquire these cards through Twitch streamers, by claiming Frontier rewards in a jackpot, or by spinning the prize wheel. The only seemingly reliable alternative is purchasing some of these cards from the Sparks store, and their cost (30,000 Sparks) is the only downside I see to this event. Considering they are rare cards, upgrading one of these rare cards from the store to level 2 would cost you 150,000 Sparks! I doubt we'll be able to gather that many Sparks for the rest of the year, so this could be seen as a serious filter for new players who are eager to acquire one of these cards and are simply left out, either because they weren't lucky enough to get one in the daily rewards/roulette or because they didn't manage to collect the 30,000 Sparks.
Procedimos entonces a ver estas cartas con otros ojos, es decir, con los ojos no de nuevos jugadores que están comenzando, sino como jugadores veteranos que vemos en estas cartas la oportunidad perfecta para complementar nuestro mazo moderno. Evaluamos entonces las estadísticas y habilidades que estas nuevas cartas exhiben y como pueden ayudarnos en moderno.
So, we proceeded to examine these cards with different eyes—not as new players just starting out, but as veteran players who see them as the perfect opportunity to complement our Modern decks. We then evaluated the stats and abilities these new cards exhibit and how they can help us in Modern.
Empezamos con 2 cartas realmente interesantes: Jolius Blast de la clase fuego y King Erminaz Twincleaver de la clase vida. Jolius Blast es el tanque necesario que esta clase necesita para hacer frente a las alineaciones mágicas, desde el nivel 1 hace 3 de daño y en nivel 2 tiene la habilidad enrage lo que lo convierte en un tanque realmente peligroso. Luego ternemos a King Erminaz Twincleaver esta carta esta diseñada para atacar la última posición, desde el nivel 1 parece una carta furtiva más pero es al nivel máximo que esta carta adquiere un gran valor porque aprende la habilidad double strike convitiendose en la primera carta Foundation con estas habilidades.
We'll start with two really interesting cards: Jolius Blast from the Fire class and King Erminaz Twincleaver from the Life class. Jolius Blast is the tank this class needs to deal with magic formations. From level 1, it deals 3 damage, and at level 2, it gains the Enrage ability, making it a truly dangerous tank. Next, we have King Erminaz Twincleaver. This card is designed to attack the back row. From level 1, it seems like just another stealth card, but it's at the maximum level that this card becomes incredibly valuable because it learns the Double Strike ability, becoming the first Foundation card with these abilities.
Gorm the Vengeful es la nueva carta furtiva de la clase muerte, no parece muy útil dado su alto coste de mana para ser una carta furtiva, pero su valor se alcanza es al nivel 4 cuando aprende la habilidad aflicción evitando que el objetivo se cure, es probablemente la carta con menor perfil de todas. Luego tenemos la carta neutra Buns the Unseen que tiene la habilidad reach al principio pero luego desarrolla la habilidad void armor y posteriormente en su último nivel reduce el daño mágico con la habilidad silence, es sin duda una carta que va más allá de Frontier, es una carta realmente valiosa para el ranked moderno.
Gorm the Vengeful is the new stealth card for the Death class. It doesn't seem very useful given its high mana cost for a stealth card, but its value is realized at level 4 when it learns the Affliction ability, preventing the target from healing. It's probably the lowest-profile card of them all. Then we have the neutral card Buns the Unseen, which has the reach ability at the beginning but then develops the void armor ability and later in its last level reduces magic damage with the silence ability. It is undoubtedly a card that goes beyond Frontier; it is a truly valuable card for modern ranked play.
Por último tenemos a Vaelok, una carta que destaca tanto por sus estadísticas como por su linaje, ya que es una unidad Drakoshan por lo que puede ser de utilidad con cartas que tienen la habilidad bloodline tribute. Además si tienes la suerte de llevar esta carta al último nivel, reduce el daño melé enemigo y puede robar vida! Una unidad bastante completa a pesar de su alto coste de mana.
Lastly, we have Vaelok, a card that stands out for both its stats and its lineage. As a Drakoshan unit, it can be useful with cards that have the bloodline tribute ability. Furthermore, if you're lucky enough to level this card up, it reduces enemy melee damage and can steal life! A fairly well-rounded unit despite its high mana cost.

Para este mini torneo participaron solo 4 contendientes y quedaron emparejados de la siguiente manera: cpol vs takeru255 y mirlenyjerez vs culebro. Yo aproveche para abrir mi segunda cerveza, una Zulia bien fría! La servía y degusté mientras contemplaba el primer duelo entre cpol y takeru.
Only four contenders participated in this mini-tournament, and they were paired up as follows: cpol vs. takeru255 and mirlenyjerez vs. culebro. I took the opportunity to open my second beer, a nice cold Zulia! I poured and enjoyed it while watching the first duel between cpol and takeru.

Con la victoria de takeru, procedimos a ver el duelo entre culebro y mirlenyjerez que usando a Kralus logró superar esa difícil batalla. Con este resultado pasan a la batalla por el 1er y segundo lugar, takeru y mirlenyjerez, mientras que el tercer lugar lo disputarán culebro y cpol.
With takeru's victory, we proceeded to watch the duel between culebro and mirlenyjerez, who, using Kralus, managed to overcome that difficult battle. With this result, takeru and mirlenyjerez advance to the battle for first and second place, while culebro and cpol will compete for third place.

Bien, definimos el tercer lugar en la refriega entre cpol y culebro, fue una batalla que en principio parecía favorecer a culebro por usar a Quora Towershead pero al final cpol obtuvo la ventaja usando la peligrosa Fina Voxom para llevarse el tercer lugar. GG!
