First May harvest in Praetoria! Resource balance, opening packs and upgrading cards Foundations [Eng/Esp]
Hello, esteemed citizens of Praetoria! Wishing you a happy Friday off from our dreaded fiat-paid jobs, today we delve into the Splinterverse once more for my favorite activity of the week: harvesting from my plots! Currently, the resource market looks quite optimistic with an upward trend across all resources, and in my case, with stone, we are more than satisfied with its performance these past few weeks.
Hola estimados ciudadanos de Praetoria! Deseándoles un feliz viernes de descanso de nuestros horribles trabajos pagados con dinero fíat, hoy nos adentramos en el splinterverso una vez más para mi actividad favorita de la semana, recoger la cosecha de mis parcelas! Actualmente el mercado de recursos luce bastante optimista con una tendencia apreciativa en todos los recursos y en mi caso que es la piedra estamos más que satisfecho con su desempeño en estas últimas semanas.
Our territory in Praetoria is located in the Great Lowlands, where we have two stone quarries, one grain farm, and another under construction, also for grain. We'll start by evaluating our grain farms, beginning with the one we recently started building in Bredaine, which is already at 50% completion. I'll probably need another three weeks to reach 100% and have our farm fully built. For now, while I'm working towards that 100%, I've been trying to get as many Decs as possible to activate the workers on that farm and accumulating grain from my plot in Hamford to feed the workers in the two quarries that are already 100% productive.
Nuestro territorio en Praetoria se encuentra en Great Lowlands, donde tenemos 2 canteras de piedra, una granja de granos y otra en construcción que también será de granos. Justamente comenzaremos por evaluar nuestras granjas de grano, primero la que hemos puesto a construir recientemente en Bredaine que ya esta alcanzando el 50% de su progreso, posiblemente me falten 3 semanas para llegar 100% y tener nuestra granja construida. Por ahora y mientras llego a ese 100% he estado tratando de conseguir la mayor cantidad de Decs posibles para activar los trabajadores de esa granja y acumulando granos de mi parcela en Hamford para alimentar los trabajadores de las 2 canteras que ya tengo al 100% productivas.
The need to acquire a second grain-producing plot arises because the one I currently have only produces enough of this resource to feed the workers in my two existing quarries. I plan to buy two more quarries and will need at least one extra grain plot to feed those workers. With this week's harvest, we reached 525,000 stone, and with prices trending upward, I will continue accumulating this resource until the end of the year unless the price of stone suddenly skyrockets.
La necesidad de adquirir una segunda parcela que produzca granos surge porque la que tengo actualmente solo nos produce el suficiente recurso para alimentar los trabajadores de mis 2 canteras actuales. Tengo planes de comprar 2 canteras más y voy a necesitar al menos una parcela extra de grano para alimentar esos trabajadores. Con la producción recogida esta semana llegamos a 525000 de piedra y con la tendencia de los precios al alza, continuare acumulando este recurso hasta finales de año a menos que el precio de la piedra se dispare súbitamente.
I'm currently facing a big dilemma. On the one hand, I'd like to complete that grain plot, including the 50,000 Decs needed to activate the workers, but at the same time, the latest airdrop/conflict has already been released, and I need that Archon for the modern format! In fact, my plan is to start building my Conclave Arcana Core deck around this legendary dragon archon and later complement it with the legendary Shen Xiao archon. So, what I'll do is acquire those 50,000 decs through renting regular/gold reward cards, skins, and Foundation packs/cards, because I'll buy the Conclave Arcana Core archons and monsters after funding my account with credits.
Actualmente me encuentro en un gran dilema, por una parte me gustaría completar esa parcela de granos incluyendo los 50000 Decs para activar los trabajadores, pero al mismo tiempo ya salió el último airdrop o conflicto y necesito tener ese arconte para el formato moderno! De hecho mi plan es comenzar a armar mi mazo Conclave Arcana Core a partir de este arconte legendario dragón y posteriormente complementarlo con el arconte Shen Xiao que es también legendario. Entonces lo que haré es ir consiguiendo esos 50000 decs entre el alquiler de cartas regulares/doradas rewards, skins y sobres/cartas Foundations, porque los arcontes y monstruos Conclave Arcana Core los compraré después de fondear mi cuenta con créditos.

The Frontier format has been one of Splinterlands' greatest successes, along with the Conclave Arcana set. It's an opportunity to introduce new players to Splinterlands, and for veterans like me, it's a chance to complement our modern decks. For me, Rebellion Core was a huge disappointment, so I decided to skip that set altogether, focus on developing my Praetoria plots, and only use the rewards to supplement the few Conclave Arcana Core cards I had at the beginning. Now, with the release of the new Rewards/Escalation collection, the possibilities have expanded even further, and Foundation cards are a key component because they grant access to Tier 4 Archons that we can use in Modern as well, allowing us to reach the Bronze and Silver leagues in Modern with a strong and diverse deck. Hence the importance of Frontiers for everyone in Splinterlands, and this week we've already farmed a large batch of packs that have secured us enough copies to upgrade some of them. Below, I'll share the contents of the packs.
El formato Frontier ha sido uno de los aciertos más grandes de Splinterlands junto a la colección Conclave Arcana, es la oportunidad para acercar a los nuevos jugadores a Splinterlands y para los veteranos como yo es una oportunidad para complementar nuestro mazo moderno. Literalmente para mi, Rebellion Core fue una gran decepción como para invertirle absolutamente nada y decidí saltarme esa colección de cartas, dedicarme a desarrollar mis parcelas en Praetoria y solo usar las rewards para complementar las pocas cartas Core de Conclave Arcana al principio. Ahora con la aparición de la nueva colección Rewards/Escalation, las posibilidades se han expandido aún más y las cartas Foundation son una pieza clave porque nos da el acceso a arcontes de nivel 4 que podemos usar en moderno también y asi llegar con un mazo fuerte y diverso a las ligas de bronce y plata en moderno. De allí la importancia que tiene Frontiers para todos en Splinterlands y esta semana ya hemos farmeado un gran lote de packs que nos han asegurado copias suficientes para upgradear algunas de ellas. We got a good number of Archons, including one Death and one Fire Archon! On the other hand, there weren't any Gold Archons, and that's because I'm opening these packs without Alkyne Potions since I'm running out and prefer to invest them in buying reward cards. All my Archons are at max level now, but there are still some strategic units that I need to max out. One of them is Wild Horse Tamer. This is a card I rarely use in Frontier, but I use it very frequently in Modern, so I decided to sell one of the life archons I obtained and buy the copy I was missing of this epic card.
Conseguimos una buena cantidad de arcontes, entre ellos uno de muerte y otro de fuego! Por otro lado no hubo ninguna dorada y es que estoy abriendo estos packs sin pociones de alquimia y es porque ya se me están acabando y prefiero invertirlas al comprar cartas rewards. Ya todos mis arcontes están en nivel máximo pero aún quedan unidades estratégicas que me faltan por llevar al nivel máximo. Una de ella es Wild Horse Tamer, esta es una carta que uso poco en Frontier pero que si uso con mucha frecuencia en moderno, así que decidí vender uno de los arcontes de vida que obtuve y comprar la copia que me faltaba de esta carta épica.
SpineTail Fiend was the last common Earth card I needed to get to level 5. It's simply a melee card, but very useful in battles with the ruleset maneuvers, super sneak, and equal opportunity. I was running out of power, since at level 4 its damage is limited to 2, and now at level 5, it increases to 3.
SpineTail Fiend era la última carta común de la clase tierra que me faltaba por llevar al nivel 5, es simplemente una carta melé pero muy útil en batallas con las ruleset maniobras, super sneak y equal oportunity. Me estaba quedando corto, pues en nivel 4 su daño se limita a 2 y ahora en nivel 5, se incrementa a 3.
Lunaki Howler was a card I needed to max out as soon as possible. My duels with water units are getting increasingly close in Gold League I because my magic attack units aren't at their maximum level. With this epic card at level 3, I can close the gap against my opponents.
Lunaki Howler si era una carta que necesitaba maximizar lo más pronto posible, mis duelos con unidades de agua se vuelven cada vez más ajustadas en la liga de oro I por que no tengo mis unidades de ataque mágico al máximo nivel. Con esta épica a nivel 3 cierro la brecha contra mis oponentes.
In short, although I've already reached the goal of maxing out all the Foundations Archons at level 4, only the fire splinter and the neutral cards are fully maxed out. The rest of the splinters are mostly missing epic cards, and I only need one common, which would be Dire Bear. Of course, I'm not including the Jackpot cards here because they're incredibly difficult to obtain. I've seen them very little in Frontier; I suppose they're so rare that it's highly unlikely I'll find an opponent actively using them.
En resumen, aunque ya cumplí la meta de todos los arcontes Foundations a nivel 4, solo el splinter de fuego y las cartas neutrales son las que tengo completamente maxeado, el resto de los splinters me faltan en su mayoría cartas épicas y una sola común que sería Dire Bear. Por supuesto no estoy incluyendo aquí las cartas de Jackpot porque son endemoniadamente difíciles de conseguir, las he visto muy poco en Frontier supongo que son tan escasas que es muy poco probable encontrar un oponente que las esté usando activamente.
Well, friends, that concludes my summary of my production in Praetoria and my progress in Frontier. There's a lot to do in Splinterlands, and that's something that has reignited my enthusiasm for the game! Lands and the Modern format are currently my main priorities in the game for the medium and long term, as I'm thinking about what the future of the game will look like once Rebellion is released from Modern. Bien amigos, con esto cierro el resumen de mi producción en Praetoria y progreso en Frontier. Hay mucho que hacer en Splinterlands y eso es algo que me ha devuelto el entusiasmo por el juego! Lands y el Formato moderno son hasta el momento mis prioridades fundamentales dentro del juego a mediano y largo plazo, ya que estoy pensando en como será el futuro del juego una vez que salga Rebellion de moderno.
