Happy Friday Splinterlands and Hivers community! I hope you are well and willing to enjoy this weekend, today I come to share with you my post from the Social media challenge event and it is dedicated to a card that I really want to buy: Ancient Redwood!
Feliz viernes comunidad de Splinterlands y Hivers! Espero que estén bien y dispuestos a disfrutar de este fin de semana, hoy vengo a compartirles mi publicación del evento Social media challenge y que esta dedicado a una carta que tengo muchas ganas de comprar: Ancient Redwood!
This is a legendary airdrop card from the Rifts Watchers packs for the ground class and is characterized by having a large amount of mana which makes it very expensive but the properties it has are truly exceptional: Huge amount of damage, large amount of life and from level 1 it has the true strike ability.
Esta es una carta legendaría del airdrop de los sobres Rifts Watchers para la clase tierra y se caracteriza por tener una gran cantidad de mana lo que la hace muy costosa pero las propiedades que tiene son realmente excepcionales: Enorme cantidad de daño, gran cantidad de vida y desde el nivel 1 cuenta con la habilidad true strike.
At the time of its release I had planned to buy this card, I estimated it at around 7 to 10$ but it ended up selling for more than 16$!! It was too much for my budget, so I only limited myself to seeing it from afar in the market or when I had to face this card in the ranking.
Para el momento de su salida me había propuesto comprar esta carta estimaba unos 7 a 10$ pero termino vendiéndose por más de 16$!! Era demasiado para mi presupuesto, así que solo me limite a verla de lejos en el mercado o cuando tenía que enfrentarme a esta carta en el ranking.

I am very interested in having this card to expand my set of cards with speed between 1 and 2 for the land class, which I consider has the best cards for games with the reverse speed ruleset.
Tengo mucho interés por tener esta carta ampliar mi set de cartas con velocidad entre 1 y 2 para la clase tierra que considero tiene las mejores cartas para las partidas con la ruleset reverse speed.
For this reason I decided to rent Ancient redwood to test it and evaluate how effective this legendary card can be and if it would indeed be worth investing in this card. So without wasting any more time let's get started!

We have a maximum mana of 48 and the possibility of choosing between all available classes except for the fire class.

🚩Ruleset: Unprotected
Monsters do not have any armor and do not get armor from Abilities or Summoner Buffs.

Monsters with the lowest Speed attack first and have the highest chance of evading attacks.

We will use Immortalis as the summoner for this battle, although the Shatter ability is redundant given that one of the ruleset is unprotected, the other 2 modifiers will help us: subtract -1 life from the opposing team and apply vacuum to our units for which we will have resistance to magic.

The perfect tank for these battles, its speed remains fixed at 1, in addition to having the shield ability, it has a large amount of defense and damage.
El tanque perfecto para estas batallas, su velocidad se mantiene fija en 1 además de tener la habilidad shield tiene gran cantidad de defensa y daño.
👾 Bramble pixie
This card will be the melee support of Mycelic infantry. Having a speed of 1 and the reach ability we ensure that these 2 cards are the first to attack the enemy vanguard.

We will use this card in the third position due to its large amount of life and also to heal the tank from the damage it may receive, as a last addition, this card also has the affliction ability when applied to its target it will no longer be able to heal, thus we cancel completely the possibility that our opponent can heal.

Here we have our first rank monster Goblin tower is a mandatory piece in my lineup when I have this type of reverse battles with a large amount of mana. His blast ability will allow us to weaken our opponent's secondary row while our monsters in the first 2 positions weaken the tank.
Aquí tenemos a nuestro primer monstruo rango Goblin tower es una pieza obligatoria en mi alineación cuando tengo este tipo de batallas reversas con gran cantidad de mana. Su habilidad blast nos va ir permitiendo debilitar las fila secundaria de nuestro oponente mientras nuestros monstruos en las 2 primeras posiciones van debilitando al tanque.

The penultimate position will be for Djinn, in addition to having camouflage, it also subtracts -1 life from the enemy team, thus facilitating the task of sweeping our opponent's lineup.
La penultima posición será para Djinn, además de tener camuflaje , también resta -1 de vida al equipo enemigo facilitando así la tarea de ir barriendo la alineación de nuestro oponente.

Our main card in this publication, we obviously placed it in the last position to contain the attack of possible cards with the sneak ability like the Sandworm. The true strike ability ensures that this card will never fail to attack its target, this gives great value to this card because even when the battle does not have reverse speed this card will always hit its target.
Nuestra carta protagonista de esta publicación, obviamente lo colocamos en la última posición para contener el ataque de posbles cartas con la habilidad sneak como el Sandworm. ⚔️Strategy and battle lineup/Estrategia y alineación de batalla
Upon sending the battle and observing the enemy lineup we realize that he decided to completely ignore the reverse speed rule trusting that his monsters' magic attacks will have enough power to take down our lineup. We will now see that this was a terrible mistake.
Al enviar la batalla y observar la alineación enemiga nos damos cuenta que decidió ignorar por completo la regla de velocidad reversa confiando en que los ataques mágicos de sus monstruos tendrán la suficiente potencia para derribar nuestra alineación. Ahora veremos que esto fue un terrible error.

💥Round 1💥
The 1st round begins and Bramble pixie/Mycelic infantry are the first to attack, dispatching the Spineback turtle. The interesting thing about this round is to notice how resistant our monsters are with this summoner, we managed to withstand the onslaught of the magical attacks without losing any units.
Comienza el 1er round y Bramble pixie/Mycelic infantry son los primeros en atacar despachando al Spineback turtle. Lo interesante de este round es notar lo resistente que son nuestros monstruos con este invocador, logramos aguantar la embestida de los ataques mágicos sin perder ninguna unidad.
💥Round 2 💥
Our second round begins and while the Bramble pixie/Mycelic pair weaken Lord Arianthus, who is a great tank, the Tower goblin scores a double kill with Kraken and Ruler of the seas! Goblin psych eliminates Lord arianthus and our opponent only has Prysmatic energy and Riverboat captain left.
Inicia nuestro segundo round y mientras el par Bramble pixie/Mycelic debilitan a Lord arianthus que es un gran tanque, el Tower goblin se anota un double kill con Kraken y Ruler of the seas! Goblin psych elimina a Lord arianthus y a nuestro oponente solo le queda Prysmatic energy y Riverboat captain.
💥Round 3💥
Dealing with Lord arianthus and Prismatic energy is always complicated, so I often use Immortalys to protect my magic units from counterspell. Thus, our tank eliminates the Prismatic, while the Goblin tower puts an end to this battle by eliminating the Riverboat captain. Victory is ours!
Lidiar con Lord arianthus y Prismatic energy siempre es complicado por eso uso con mucha frecuencia a Immortalys para prteger mis unidades mágicas del counterspell. Así, nuestro tanque elimina al Prismatic, mientras el Goblin tower pone final a esta batalla eliminando al Riverboat captain. La victoria es nuestra!
🍃Conclusions/Conclusiones
Ancient redwood is simply a beast! My interest in having this card is precisely to complement my team of cards with 1-2 speed and thus build a powerful lineup of cards with the ruleset: reverse speed.
To ensure victory in these battles with the ground class it is important to diversify the type of damage, for this game I combined the 3 types of damage: melee in the vanguard, magic and range in the second row in this way we ensure that if the opponent Use reduction of some of our attacks we can still continue doing damage.
A good alternative for Djinn biljka is Queen Micellia particularly for her support abilities: +2 defense and Triage to heal the second position from attacks like the blast. The other alternative that is much more expensive to use is Dr. Blight but all 3 options are valid for this battle.
Ancient redwood es simplemente una bestia! Mi interés por tener esta carta es precisamente para complementar mi equipo de cartas con velocidad de 1-2 y armar así una alineación de cartas poderosa con el ruleset: reverse speed.
Para asegurar la victoria en estas batallas con la clase tierra es importante diversificar el tipo de daño, para esta partida combiné los 3 tipos de daño: melé en la vanguardia, magia y rango en la segunda fila de esta manera nos aseguramos que si el opoenente usa redución de alguno de nuestros ataques aun podamos seguir haciendo daño.
Una buena alternativa para Djinn biljka es Queen micelia particularmente por sus habilidades de apoyo: +2 de defensa y Triage para sanar la segunda posición de ataques como el blast. La otra alternativa que es bastante más cara de usar es Dr. Blight pero las 3 opciones son válidas para esta batalla.
