Splinterlands Brawl Report

Sharing my fifth Brawl results with The Calzones.

🐲 Brawl Report 🐲

I settled into fray seven again: Bronze, Chaos only cards and was entered into six battles. I am starting to feel very comfortable with my Chaos deck. I still have some work to do to improve my Life and Death splinter strategies, but I know I have a chance to win each match if I choose the correct strategies.

Kelya v General Sloan — My opponent had a decent lineup, but minimal armor and magic attack with the Explosive Weaponry ruleset was a mistake. Win (1-0)

Obsidian v Thaddius Brood — My opponent choose the correct debuffs, but lucky for me I still had a health advantage. Win (2-0)

Kelya v Obsidian — Oh no, my opponent has Quora up front! And I was stomped 😂 Win (2-1)
I didn't think there were going to be any options where I could come out on top, but it turns out I did have the cards to beat Quora.

Tarsa v Kelya — Bloodlust v Bloodlust may have been a better title. Unfortunately for me, my opponents Bloodlust went off first. I studied this battle quite a bit and did not have the cards with Tarsa to win this one 🤷‍♂ Loss (2-2)

Obsidian v Kelya — Baakjira up front worried me, but it was Relenor behind him that really worried me after the last two beat downs from Gladius cards. It was a close one, but Spirit Hoarder healing Mycelic early on was the game changer for me. Win (3-2)

Tarsa v Kelya — Grum's Bloodlust didn't get a chance to kick in, but neither did my opponent's with Relanor Win (4-2)

🎈🎈 I ran up against a couple strong Gladius cards, but outside of that I performed well. 🎈🎈

Not the best overall showing for The Calzones this time around. I personally ran into two strong Gladius cards for my two losses. We need 22 more crowns and we can upgrade our Barracks so that we can give our opponents some of the same medicine. Once our guild can start using the Gladius cards I think we will start having some more consistent finishes. As it is, it is a tough win when we are almost fighting with one hand behind our backs. That being said there was only one battle this brawl that I didn't have the cards to beat my opponent and I won two matches up against these strong cards.

The trick is to take them out before Bloodlust can kick in. Easier said than done sometimes 😀 Galdius cards will help us more consistently finish near the top of the leader board, but I can still learn more to make my game stronger without relying on them.

I have a nice shiny Quora of my own ready to be deployed! 22 more crowns, that is our goal!!!!!!
